Rick's Basic Essentials LLC

Rick, has done many home projects for my wife and I. Every time it is done to my standards! He is very gifted and treats every job like it was his own home. He will not take short cuts, even if you ask him too. He goes by the book every time. I'm very happy with this contractor.

I found Rick's Basic Essentials on the Nextdoor App and contacted him for bids on a few jobs I have. The biggest job I had was to install a 6 ft privacy fence to keep one of our dogs from jumping the fence. Rick gave us a good bid and we decided he was who we would go with. Of course the fence took a couple days longer than he anticipated due to our fence line having a huge influx of weeds, stumps etc. You can tell by my before and after pictures. Rick also built my retaining wall out front and what he suggested turned out much better than the stones I wanted. I would definitely recommend Rick as we have a couple more jobs that need done. I don't believe you would be disappointed in his work.

Rick was on time; work hard. He took the time to listen to what you wanted done and did it.

I was fortunate to have watched Rick construct a wooden fence for my neighbor. Rick did a meticulous job in disassembling our heavy front gate which had to be split into two. It required removal of a post and resetting a new one into concrete. I was extremely impressed with his finish work. All suggestions made were thoroughly carried out. Rick did what no other contractor had been able to resolve. His cost was far below those that were quoted. He was very nice to work with. I highly recommend his work. Sylvia Eckles

Rick did such a good job on our closet, after another contractor botched it, that we turned to him when we wanted to redo our deck. He did a great job on that also, replacing the original worn and really bad looking wooden deck with very nice Trex. He did ours and our neighbors (we are in a duplex) and then constructed a very nice dividing wall between the two decks. He was very pleasant to be around. He is a diligent worker with reasonable costs, does fastidious work in a timely manner. And he thoroughly cleaned up at the end. I highly recommend him.

We called Rick when we found him on the Internet when someone who could erect a greenhouse was needed. He was wonderful! He offered alternative ideas when things went awry, such as the greenhouse never arriving. And he was able to build a beautiful pad for the errant greenhouse while we waited for a different one to be delivered. Then when we changed our minds and ended up with a smaller one to be delivered, he was understanding and able to manage the difficulties of a change in plans. He was patient when he had to stop everything he was doing because not all the parts had arrived and had to be re-ordered. Rick is a man true to his word. He’s there when he says he will be or he will call you with enough time to tell you that there’s been a snafu in his schedule. He cares about the people he works with and he does an excellent job. I can’t say enough good things about him.
