Bought some concrete blocks for a retaining wall from these folks (at their Tualatin store). It went pretty well, except for one thing. The blocks were sold in three sizes, 6 inch, 12 inch and 18 inch. They had a computer program that took the dimensions of the wall, and told how many of each size were needed. I was a bit skeptical, but the salesman said he would size it so that I had plenty, and I could return any left over for full refund. That seemed fair. I noticed on the invoice that the 6 and 12 inch blocks were listed as a pair, for the same cost as an 18 inch block. I didn't think anything of it at the time. I ended up using all the 12 and 18 inch blocks, but had fifteen of the 6 inch blocks left over. But when I tried to return them, was told they will only take them back in pairs, with 12 inch blocks! I was not told this when I ordered them. I argued with the manager, with no luck. My feeling is they should make this odd pair restriction known up front, when they're promising to take back the left overs. If they don't they should take the odd blocks back anyway. It is not rocket science to pro-rate the cost of the pair... Even if they could not sell the blocks outside the pair (the excuse I was given) it seems it would have been worth the $30 it would have cost to avoid the bad feelings from a customer. But no. So I feel I was lied to and that's not OK.

I recently purchased pavers for a 500 sq ft patio, and had a very positive experience with Willamette Graystone. As this was an entirely new area of construction for me, I had lots of questions, and they answered all of them. The delivery was on time (on a big boom truck) and the delivery driver seem to delight in explaining the intricacies of how the boom worked. I was impressed with his enthusiasm and the fact that he didn't talk down to me just because I was female. When I brought the pallets back, I received the promised refund in just a few days. They also bought back the unused pavers!

We ordered pavers, retaining wall blocks, fire pit and columns in May. They were delivered in two delivers, and many more we had to use our own truck to pick up as they weren't all in stock together. Problem number one: The pavers we bought were a circle kit. The kit stones did not fit snugly together so at some distances from the center of the circle the stones have gaps of half an inch. Needless to say the sand won't stay in this big of a crack and shoe heels fall right in. It also looks like a very poor job on the patio, but the contractor couldn't fix because the pavers were cut at the wrong angles. Problem number two: The fireplace kit was missing 2/3 of the cap stones which was acknowledged when it was delivered. Willamette Graystone never provided the missing parts. Here it is in August and we still don't have them. I called several weeks ago and was told to come to the Wood Village store to pick them up finally. When I drove there (not near our house at all), they didn't have them. It was a wasted trip. They said they would deliver them shortly, and never called or did so. I called again several days ago and they said they would see what was going on and call me back in 30 minutes. Needless to say, they never called back. I called again today and they said they now had them at the store and I needed to come and get them, they would not deliver them. Do I believe them this time? Problem number three: The retaining wall stones aren't sized to fit with each other. The contractor tried to make the wall combining the different size stones that should have been sized to work together, but they were all off in size and he had to use spacers to get the wall to work. Gaps everywhere.
Overall poor service and poor grade products.

Materials and Price
They have a high quality product at a price lower than Home Depot or Lowe's. Jerry's sells their Diamond Bevel Face blocks, but might as well just go to Willamette Graystone (WG) to order--they're going to do the delivery anyways.
The bevel blocks at WG are better than those at Home Depot because the have a solid center cross beam which allows the block to be split in half and retain a solid side for 90 degree outside corners. There is also a lot of support documentation for installation at anchorblock.com. Product quality is strong and consistent.
Delivery was on-time and reasonably priced.
Service
The guys at the Franklin store are very helpful. They will help you with estimates and give input on your project. They let me take a sample block while I was deciding on the model to purchase.
I marked down Punctuality because on the Saturday when I was going to place my order, I arrived at 1pm. Their website and storefront both say they are open 8am-2pm on Saturdays, but when I arrived they were clearly closed. There were two other parties there also waiting.
I marked down Responsiveness because I called HQ about the office being closed, to find out if anyone was coming back later. I left my name, number, and a request to callback, but they never did.
Summary
Aside from a wasted trip on Saturday, I am happy with my experience. I recommend Willamette Graystone.

They were very good at giving technical expertise, and were very willing to spend time with us. They are very responsive to giving and showing samples, and how they would work on the site with color combinations and different types of material.
