Rick was capable and honest (he explained that what I thought needed replacing, was actually in decent shape). Then he replaced the part that actually needed attention.

I had a 70 year old retaining wall next to the sidewalk that was failing - large cracks, leaning out. A serious hazard and potential liability. Previous owners planted large shrubs next to the wall, making things worse. Most of the professionals I talked to wanted "repair" this wall. Ricky Lemon said it would be a lot of work, and expensive, but he agreed with me that the wall had to go. He and his small crew tore out the wall and the shrubs, hauled off the debris, and installed French drains and a terraced block wall that looks great in about two weeks of really hard work. Mr Lemon and his crew were respectful, pleasant to interact with, always willing to explain what they were doing, considerate of me and my neighbors, and really a delight to have working on my property. The work was top notch. The crew worked hard in hot weather - and I like this about Ricky Lemon - he provided cold drinks for his crew, insisted that they take breaks, and did not work during the two hottest days (so far) in July. In the end, he added railings on both sides of the two flights of steps up to my front door. Since I am as old as that wall was, I am really grateful that he did the extra work to find good-looking, sturdy, safe railings for me. The whole thing looks great now - I need to plant some flowers in the terraces, but it is too hot for that just now. If you hire Ricky Lemon, you will get someone who is a really good worker, who produces a great result - someone who knows what he is doing and does it really, really well.

Did a good job and came back two weeks later to finish the job. Weather kept him from finishing initially.

Rick and his helper showed up early in the morning around 7 am every day and worked steadily all day long even in hot days exceeding 95 degrees. Worked until 5:30 every day. Ate lunch in their truck rather than heading into town. Very respectful of the property and visitors who came by while they were working. Trustworthy and dedicated to doing top notch artistic work.

We had a company extend our existing patio and add a sitting wall with pliers, the finished product was just terrible. We had to hire a new company to take out the floor of the new patio and redo the stamped concrete. Then we went to home advisors and found Western Roots Masonary to fix the sitting wall and pliers which were not level the walls had pits and were very uneven they were just a mess. Rick helped us decide on how to cover the existing walls and pliers. We did stone. The end result was way beyond our wildest dreams . We can’t say enough about the results,believe us when we say we think he is just the best. We will be recommending Rick to all our friends and neighbors and any one else. He came out and looked at our job. He had to research to match our existing tile. Then he called back with a quote and told us when he could come. He came at the appointed time and did the work beautifully. I am so pleased. He cleaned up perfectly like the "merry maid" was there. I recommend him highly!
