I don't know if there is a worse remodeling experience that could beat mine. A four month job turned into two years and Jesse Gregory never returned to finish. Took so long because he spent the money I gave him to purchase materials. He admitted soon his to be ex-wife took $6,000 of the payment made, in all stole around $20,000 from me and left the job unfinished. Talked to a lawyer and there isn't anything I could do. The workmanship was so poor. I can't tell you how aweful it feels to have spent all your savings ($120,000) and six years later the house is still unfinished. I bought the house my parents built and raised all of us six kids. Couldn't let it go after they passed away. Hiring Jesse (a friend of a friend) was the most expensive mistake I have ever made. Do not trust or hire him. Poor workmanship and no work ethic.
