Got off to a very late start, a couple of weeks. Then Jose and one helper came one afternoon and scrapped, washed and primed one side of the house. They came the next couple of days and painted the main body of that section. And then they went away. It basically went like that throughout the process. Starts and stops. He finally told me that a job they were doing in Eugene had gone way longer than had been expected and they seemed to realize just how far it was to Cottage Grove, 25 miles.

At one point a young fellow showed up by himself to do trim work on some windows in the front of the house when none of the rest of the house was even painted! I called Jose and asked 'whats up?' He spoke to the painter and soon the guy left.

At one point I was concerned about the quality of the work on the ceiling of the porch and insisted that Jose come down and have a look. It looked to me that the paint was cracking and getting ready to peel off. He did come down and have the guys scrape off that bit and redo it. They worked in bits and pieces: priming on one side while painting on the other.

The job went very long and little had to do with weather.

My biggest concern was that he just didn't communicate.  I felt that I had to track him down too much.  If I had known on some days that they were not coming it would have been so much better. It is for this reason that I would not hire Jose again. Could be that its just me, but I need communication!

What went well: assist with color placement, replacement of siding on garage, rehanging of storm windows. Tidiness of work area, care around my plantings (I had removed some and they asked before trimming others), courtesy of the workers - really sweet guys. And overall my house looks great!

It will be interesting to see how it weathers the Winter.

It was a congenial company and I believe they did a good job. I have some Lead in my house and this particular company said they could deal with that. The only thing I didn't like was that I asked him if they did two coatings and he said they did. In the end, he did one coating and said it was thick enough. A lot of people said it looked thick enough but I still show concern about it.

He was the best and most reasonable of everybody we contacted. It went very well. He was very interested in doing a great job which he did. They are going to do interior starting next week. They did a very professional job. They left the area nice and clean when they were finished. I have absolutely no complaints and I have nothing but praise.

They did great work and repaired anything that wasn't right, like external outlet and eve separation. They worked steady and finished the job in two days.

Jose and his crew went above and beyond. They were available on short notice, did more than they were contracted to do withoug charging more; and finished the job quickly -- doing a bit of prep work on one day then finising the job on the second day -- leaving the house very well painted.

They power washed the house one day and came back two days later when all was dry, and sealed all cracks then painted the house. The following day they came back and finished the trim and took care of a few existing problems, like securing the eve beams that had been separated, sealed and painted.

They did a great job.

The painting crew was courteous and very hard working. They arrived early and stayed late to finish the job quickly and professionally. The last day, Jose the owner and one other employee worked until after 8pm in order to complete the job prior to a rain storm the next day.

His price was so much cheaper than the rest of the estimates that we received. We have had several people ask who painted our house because he did such a good job. They washed, scraped, primed and then put two coats of paint on our house. It took them about a week and a half to complete the job.

Jose is professional, a pleasure to work with, and his price is fair. We went with him because we liked him and thought he could do the job, which he did very well. His bid was the lowest (one person was twice as high) and the quality of Jose's work was exceptional.

It could have not gone any better. We are extremely pleased with the price and how the house looks now. He even made a BBQ lunch for the crew and us one afternoon, which was delicious.

They do arrive on time. they are very punctual very responsible. They are getting the job done quickly. The price that they gave me is very reasonable. I would highly recommend this company to anyone interested.

The Painting Guy Inc is very timely, efficient, and good. They have good value and are very good to work with. They are very reliable and it was a great value. They had very high quality. It was ten thousand for the interior painting. He only works with one crew so that he has the best quality and the owner is always on sight.
