They come and pick up your dog and they have a place in the country. They can play outside or inside. It's good for socializing with other dogs. My dog had separation anxiety when I got her; she's a rescue. She's since gotten over it. She loves going there. She no longer has the separation anxiety but I still like taking her there. They are very reliable and responsive.

My labrador retriever comes home, eats dinner and spends the rest of the day relaxing. He used to be unusually passive the following day as well but as he's gotten more fit, he recovers from his day of fun more quickly. I love the socialization he experiences there and feel totally confident taking him to the dog park.

They are really good. They are very responsive, flexible, and the best part of their service is that they have transportation, and they take your dog in the country to run around. She has a home in the country, and she takes them in the van to play around with other dogs. It is very good for a dog that has problems being alone or that likes to destroy things.

I have a 8 year old Brittany Spaniel who has never been boarded or stayed the night away from her own home (we used to have a dog sitter). It was very important to us that she would be in a safe place, and not be kept in a kennel all day. I can say that Heather at Tall oaks surpassed my expectations in every way. Firstly, she is great with both the dogs and owners. Heather took the time to show us around the property and explain how the dogs are treated during their stay. They have the space to keep the small and large dogs separated for play and sleep. Since our dog is really in-between sizes, she was able to run with the big dogs all day, but sleep with the little ones. In the small dog area, there is furniture that the dogs can lounge on, which is exactly what our dog does at home. When I came to pick up my dog, we saw her running in the play area, clearly having a blast. Based on how my dog followed Heather around wagging her tail, I would say that she liked the place too.
In the past I have seen friends dogs come home sick, stressed, and clearly unhappy from boarding facilities. This was not how any of the dogs looked at Tall Oaks. We will surely use their services in the future. We paid $70 for the weekend, and did the transportation. They do offer pick-up and drop-off if you prefer.

Picked up my dog in Springfield (along with other dogs going out for the day...the ride is part of the fun) then let the dogs play out in the country for the day...running through the fields and trees. Dog comes home exhausted and happy! Proof of how much they love going to Tall Oaks is how fast they get in the van at the morning pick-up! My dog can't wait to go!
This is so much better for the dogs than staying in a small area without toys or room to run. There is a doggie day care less than 5 minutes from my house that I would never leave my dog with; just an inside room where the dogs literally mill around all day. I will rate that facility separately.
Be Warned! Tall Oaks is NOT on Sanford Rd as shown on website. Facility has moved so be sure to ask for directions to new location. Fortunately for me, I went with my sister who had already done a meetand greet, because Heather didn't give me the new address so I would have gone to the address listed on website. (I was originally scheduled to go out but got very sick and canceled. Don't know how I would have felt had I really gone to wrong location)

Heather, the owner, inspires a real confidence that she will take good care of her pack. I have always had the good fortune to have friends care for my 8 yr old Golden Retreiver/Boxer mix until now, and Heather feels like just the kind of friend I'd choose to have watch her while I traveled.

Tazo got to run and play every day with 6 or so other dogs on a couple of acres in West Eugene, with a pond, little sloping hills, outdoor covered areas, and a couple of indoor rooms, too. She came home well exercised and happy.

It's not inexpensive, but it was worth for my pup and for my piece of mind.
