I had a gift certificate from Christmas valued at $120 for an auto detail. I called to make the appointment in late June and an opening was readily available. I drove to the shop at 7:45 am and they were ready for me. Amy drove me the short distance to my work in their snazzy PT Cruiser. Amy retrieved me at the end of the day for the return trip to pick up my gleamingly-clean-and-polished Miata. Mark advised me that morning in a follow-up call that a full service was some $$ more than my $120 gift certificate. I gave him the go-ahead to do his best. Additional charge was $100 which was a break in the full price for the work that was done since my car was so little. I was assured that detailer Javier was a stickler for details and it showed - car was beautifully done. Only glitch in the day was that at 4:30 p.m. I finally called the shop as they had not called me to advise the car was done and to make pickup arrangements. There were even two mints in the console! And a week later a 'thank you' card arrived in the mail -- nice touch boys!

Great experience overall good communication and easy to work with. Got all the services i wanted done in a timely manner.

Easy they found the problem and fixed it. We have been using Sun Automotive for both of our cars and will never go anywhere else. Finally a place I can trust.

Don't remember the costs, but for the service and detail was reasonable.

I brought the car in running on the spare tire. Sun got both a new tire and a good used rim and installed it.

The 60000 mile service included a long list of items. Marty said they would perform an equally long and quot;60 point preventative maintenance inspection,and quot; then merge both lists but only do those items that actually needed service. In fact, it appeared that they did that. They provided me a detailed list of parts and labor and costs. As another check, albeit accidental, a couple of months earlier I had the transmission fluid unnecessarily changed. Sun included that as one of the things they didn't have to touch.

The original estimate for the service was $375. It came in as estimated with an expected number of things to be cleaned, replaced or adjusted. The additional $342 was for extras I asked for.

They were not pushy. They gave me a ride to and from my home, and made every effort to get me to an early appointment. They were eager to go over the details of the invoice.

They've always been prompt, friendly and informative. I think they're pretty expensive for what they do, and they have a tendency to add on extra work. But I've also had them run a diagnostic for $100, and then been told not to worry. Sun's service is excellent. They're a bit pricey, but I do trust them.

I had used them before and they are very friendly and professional. They explain everything and offer alternatives if you can't afford a recommendation. They call and talk to you at each step and give you an estimate and running total. There were no hidden costs or charges. I've owned and operated a car or truck since 1971 and Sun Automotive is by far the best auto service/repair shop I have ever dealt with. I recommend them with no hesitation.
