We have been using Sun Automotive for years. They are local and friendly and honest.

They are always reliable. They do what we ask them to do. They remind us when service needs to be done to the car. They are friendly and like family as far as getting the car fixed. We always use them.

I was thrilled that they offered to drive me back home while my car was being worked on and then to pick me up a couple of hours later to retrieve it. When I got the car back, the car had also been washed, the interior vacuumed and all the work done. Staff were wonderful -- easy to talk to, anxious to provide high quality customer service and the work was well done. I felt that they treated me well and want to make sure I came back and was happy with the experience. They sent a follow up thank you card and provided a coupon for a complimentary car wash.

I highly recommend them because they were competent and attentive in care care and because of their customer service focus. I plan on continuing to use them for car care.

Excellent. They had the work finished before the approximate time given. I have had all my vehicles serviced at Sun for years. I can't think of another auto center to use in the future. They have saved my pocket book many times in the past when big auto dealerships quoted major work that didn;t need to be done in the first place.

Our cars have been with them for ten years. They do everything for us. The prices are absolutely fair and they have been absolutely honest with us. We both have the same make of car. They are up and current on what needs to be done. Jack will take time to explain things to us in laymen terms. They work around our schedule. We haven't found any place that compares to it. Our cars are very well cared for and we change the oil every 3,000 miles. The cars are probably over cared for. Their pricing is either fair or more than fair for this area. We know that they are not overcharging us in any way. We would not use anybody else.

My 1999 VW Passat wouldn't start - bad spark plug. Check engine light came on. Sun Auto diagnosed and corrected the problem the very next day. Removed and replaced the entire ignition control unit. I would highly recommend Sun Automotive for all auto needs. They are friendly, helpful, and always willing to call ahead of time with a cost estimate. I have used them for everything from oil changes to battery replacement.

Prior to doing the work I was informed they would do an inspection on the car as part of my service. They told me the inspection revealed that the car needed a $350 front brake job and a $1700 replacement of the power steering pump, hoses and right front axle. However, in January of this year (6 mos. ago) I had $900 worth of front end work done on the car at another service center, including having the front brakes done. I took the car back to the service center that did the work in January, they inspected the front end, and showed me that the brakes were still like new, and the right axle did not need replacing. I called Sun Automotive back to inform them of the previous work and second inspection I had done, and the only answer I got was they would notify the manager and ask the tech to be more accurate in his brake pad measurement. While the actual work that we had done was completed to satisfaction and for a fair price, I was shocked that Sun Automotive would recommend I needed over $2000 worth of additional work done that was not required. I have most of my service to the car done at the dealership, but thought I would try a neighborhood shop. Unfortunately Sun Automotive just reinforced the stereotype of the auto mechanic just looking out for his boat payment (thanks Click and Clack...), and I am safer sticking with the big dealerships. I know there are honest and competent independent auto shops out there, sadly I do not believe Sun Automotive is one of them.
