Sniders Plumbing & Drain Cleaning

Initially I was very pleased. Mr. Snider and his son were prompt, courteous, did a great job cleaning up and all seemed well. Fast forward 2 years to the day I came back from a long weekend and found water dripping from my living room ceiling. Turns out when they reset our toilets they did NOT extend the flange so that the connection was above the new floor level (the vinyl installers just put the new floor on top of the old floor, thus raising it the fraction of an inch.) Instead they just used 2 wax rings, leaving the top of the flange below the new floor level. Well, apparently this held for 2 years, until it didn't. Now I have to replace the carpet in the living room, the drywall on the ceiling, paint the whole ceiling, and refinish the hardwood floors in the neighboring area because the water seeped in there.....not to mention the cost of the initial water mitigation, being without water for several days, and living in a house all masked off with plastic while repairs went forward. Some $10,000 later, it's all put together, but all of this would have been avoided if Snider's had installed the $1.50 flange extender. Just to be sure, I had another plumber check the other two toilets that Snider's reset, and sure enough, no extender, just the second wax ring. (These hadn't leaked yet, as those toilets don't get as much use.) I'm not a complainer, and I have hesitated writing this review because I don't want to hurt anyone. But Angie' List is about our being able to find competent professionals to help with situations that we don't know how to deal with.
And perhaps my writing this can help others who are reflooring bathrooms know enough to insist that the toilet flange needs to be extended, and that 2 wax rings doesn't solve the problem.

The entire process was professional and easy for me. I called, left a message and the call was promptly returned (less than 10 minutes). We set a date for the job. This was not a rush job. No water was leaking. We set a time in the early morning in two days.
They arrived on time and had the job completed in well under half an hour.

Had an outdoor drain from pad outside garage that is fed by runoff from gutters that was completely clogged by mud and other debris. Sniders gave estimate over phone based on verbal description of problem and gave 2 options. I picked the higher cost choice using high-pressure water which was described as being less likely to puncture pipe. They came out next day per appointed time and it was a quick 10-15 minute job. They were pleasant and professional.

Plumber was great! Professional,on time, and knew what they were doing. I would definitely call on them for any plumbing problem.

I had used their services before during an after hour emergency and they once again provided exceptional service. I reached a live person immediately, no phone tags!! The information was taken and time set up to come out and repair the leak. They had a suspicion what was causing the leak even before looking at it. They are knowledgable! They arrived prompt and were pleasant, courteous, and helpful in resolving the problem. They are quick, taking less than 15 minutes to repair the drain. Their price was more than reasonable and their service was outstanding. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done.

Faucet didn't have water pressure. Snider's identified the design as and quot;too complexand quot;, and took out some of the guts. Since then, it's worked fine.

We had a and quot;springand quot; in a crack in our driveway. We called and Snyder's
came to assess the problem. Said it was likely a burst water pipe that
would need to be repaired. Gave an estimate as to the approximate cost
of having someone do all the manual labor and suggested that if we
wanted to save money that we could do the work ourselves and some
guidelines where we could start. After we broke up a section of our
driveway, we were able to find the leak and called Snyder's back and
they came and fixed the section of piping that was broken.

They arrived exactly when they said they would, did the job quickly and very professionally. They were courteous, and cleaned up well. Next time I need a plumber I will call them.

They came by on Thursday but didn't have a small enough snake for the older small pipes in my circa 1920s house, so they offered to come back in the afternoon. I had them come back the following morning, they showed up, did the job very well, and now I have clog free drains which from experience with other plumbers is not easy to accomplish because of the age of the pipes. Very very reasonable as well, under $100. Highly recommended. Nice, fair, prompt family run business.

I am so happy with Snider's Plumbing and Drain Cleaning. The owner and his son arrived exactly on time. They were very polite and professional. The work was finished in less than an hour. It was a huge relief to finally get this toilet working again properly. About two years ago I had another company come to fix the problem and, after spending $250 the problem continued. When I finally called Snider's I expected to have to buy a new toilet or have my drain lines replaced or repaired. Mr Snider started with the easiest and least expensive solution and worked on up, systematically. Thankfully, it was an easy fix. I have no doubt that even if it had been a bigger problem, he would have been as thorough, careful, and fair priced. I will definitely use them again and will not hesitate to recommend Snider's to family and friends.

They were prompt and congenial and they knew what they were doing. I appreciated the fact that they did not try to make something more out of the problem than was there.

We called them to replace the piping, because we were having back up problems when the washer would drain. They got in under the house and replaced and updated everything. It was a tough job getting into the crawl space under a fifties style ranch. They sent out two guys and they just nailed it in a few hours. I was impressed with how quickly they were able to get all of the work done. They went above and beyond the project that I hired them for.
