They found structural problems with our bathroom and fixed them. They had no problem letting us do part of the finish work ourselves.

Simply Kithens and Baths is listed as an approved contractor with the VA, hence why we contacted them to provide an estimate. When Barbara came to the house, she insisted that she knew the bid requirements and did not need me to provide her with a copy of them via a PDF scan I had created of the five page document. However, when she returned the bid to us, it was for over the dollar amount the VA would accept for this grant program. When we asked her to revise the bid to meet these requirements, she declined saying they were too busy to rework the bid at this time. Given Simply Kitchens and Baths is an approved VA contractor, meaning they have completed the registration process with the VA and have performed work for other veterans and their families, I was amazed they did not provide an appropriate bid. Then, to decline to rework the bid when they had made the mistake was in my opinion unprofessional. While I cannot comment on the quality of their work, this behavior would not lead me to invite them to bid a project again.

.I was pleased with the installation of the shower and water heater in 2012. My complaint is that in mid-June of this year (2013) I discovered that a plastic cover that should have been placed around the water pipe coming into the house had not been installed. We live in a manufactured home, and the opening around the pipe was the perfect entry for mice. We had two of them, that we know of, come into the house. The first one I found was dead, and the second one was running all over the house. I discovered it in my bedroom closet, and I put a 25 lb. box of cat litter on top of it. I called the plumbing company, and they did come to the house to install the cover on the floor.
