SEGO INSULATION

I did a complete rebuild of the house stripping off the shingles and outer sheathing. After cleaning out the old fiberglass batts and dead squirrels, I painted the back side of the walls with a low permeability paint to act as a vapor barrier. After many delays by the roofers (see that report for a horror story) and an unexpected monsoon, Sego came out and did the job. They are the only ones in the state who handle this type of insulation and are based in Eugene and Redmond. When I called, I told them that I live in Banks and they said no problem. Garth drove up from Corvallis and did the estimate which I accepted. Their crew arrived at 11:00 and promptly set up. Tony arrived with a couple of helpers and we went around the house and discussed what was going to be done. He told his workers and they got right to work. He went into town and got them some lunch and they worked and ate simultaneously. They finished at 5:00 and cleaned up. Very efficient and professional.
