Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I was quoted a whopping $305 per hour for an emergency visit on a weekend. Needless to say, I went with somebody else. This was nothing more than an opportunistic and shameless price gouge on another person's misery. AVOID!

Drain cleaner brought in a snake and had it cleared quickly. Worked out very well!

Very good, plumber was punctual, professional, and accurate.

The workers had to come back twice and that was no charge. The first time it lasted about three weeks, the second time less. Each person tried a new tactic, till cleaning out the drain from the top of the roof down finally worked. I have a large ponderosa in the back yard that has roots that grow into the drainage. I appreciated the very prompt attention and the financial guarantee for a tricky job.

We paid for a sewer scope to be performed and were told we would receive a call back the same day with results. The tech would not start the service until we paid upfront, which we did. After eight days and several calls later, we are now being told the tech has to go back out to the house (not for another five days) because they need to look at it again due to it being an old house. We ordered this service so we could close on our house. This seems to be a blatant attempt to sell a service by withholding information.

The plumber was very friendly and efficient. He also did a very good job of cleaning up when done. The price was high. $205 for about an hour total of time. I get they did fixed pricing, but I would hesitate to use again because of the fee.

Roto-Rooter coordinated with the landlord in a timely matter. On the first day they cleared the line, checked it thoroughly, and reported on it's apparent condition. After more discussion with the landlord they sent a cleaning crew the following day. This involved moving some items, vacuuming up debris and liquid, and steam-cleaning the affected area. The steam-cleaner solution included a sort-of sage/herbal scent that was a nice touch and big improvement. After steam-cleaning the entire area was almost completely dried, and we continued the final drying with fans for a while afterward.

Service tech Steve arrived promptly as scheduled. Located the blockage and cleared it quickly and efficiently. Tested to make sure everything was draining properly. Over time I have had service from Steve several times for blockages from differing causes (none ever recurred after he cleared them). I always call Roto-Rooter and always ask for him. Have never dealt with any other of Roto-Rooter's techs but if they are all as good as Steve, you can't go wrong in hiring them.

He was very informative and got right to it and got right to it done and was it done.

It went very well. Lance looked at the situation, gave me a price to fix it and then promptly and efficiently replaced the trap. It took him less than 30 minutes. The company responded promptly to my problem and arrived on time. I would use them again.

The work was done quickly. The technician cleared the blockage (he went out about 50 feet) and we ran a lot of water through to make sure that it was washed all the way out. He left a bit of sludge on the back deck where his machine had been sitting, but otherwise, everything was done as hoped.

A toilet and utility sink were not draining. The office staff at Roto-Rooter are always efficient and courteous; they said they would get someone out as soon as they were available. I requested Steve and they honored my request. He came out within a short time. First, he ruled out the main drain. It was not clogged, so he concluded the blockage had to be in the pipes leaving the utility room. He could not access the pipes from the roof because the rooftop vent pipe was too small in diameter, so he removed the toilet from the floor and unclogged the drain from there. He is always quick and thorough. Does a great job. Took less than an hour to resolve; he reinstalled the toilet without caulking around the base because I asked him to. That way if the toilet is leaking I will know it. It won't be hidden behind the caulk. Over time, I have had Steve unclog three different drains. Every time he more than met my expectations. I always ask for him. Roto-Rooter is a quality company, and Steve is always worth asking for.

It was perfect. The technician, Steve, was efficient, knowledgeable, pleasant, and courteous. I didn't know where my sewer cleanout was located but he used his smartphone to access a database provided by the city of Eugene detailing the exact measurements where it could be found. He worked quickly and in no time had the problem solved. Roto-Rooter itself was very prompt in scheduling someone to come out. In fact I had to ask them to schedule at a later time than they first suggested because I had another commitment. I would absolutely use Roto-Rooter again.

The team arrived promptly and we got the line cleared out. After the initial problem was solved, one of the techs noticed a sound that wasn't quite right and investigated further. Turns out my kitchen pipes were leaking down under the house and into the flooring. I was devastated at the news, thinking I was in deep trouble now. The team was amazing They diagnosed the problem, got things shut down, and helped me to contact my insurance agent about coverage. The water abatement team was on the job pronto, Jerry and Dante were so professional, easy to talk to, and helped me to relax by letting me know the process of the water abatement methods they would be using. Fans were set up under the house, and the next day, fans and dehumidifiers were set up in the house. Their manager, Jeff Britton, handled all the details with my insurance company, Farmer's, and the wetness was removed and new insulation and vapor barrier was installed after the area was completely dry and sprayed with materials to keep things from growing down there that shouldn't be there. Additionally, great care was taken to continue to work on the damage to flooring and cabinets in my kitchen. Again, Jerry, Dante did a great job. Jeff got a team over to remove the flooring and provide me with new plywood over the subfloor. During this whole process, Jeff has been great, managing the cost estimating, insurance communications, and being particularly kind and attentive to my needs as a homeowner. I have never worked with such a great group of people, and I will absolutely only use this company from now on. I used several companies in Eugene, prior to working with Roto Rooter, but after a strong recommendation from a well respected friend, I made the switch, and I'll never look back. Thank you, Roto Rooter, for assisting me during a difficult time, and for being the honest, kind, hard working, and ethical people that you are.

When I was disconnecting an old washing machine in preparation for delivery of a new one, the cold water faucet would not completely close. After shutting off the main water, I took it apart to try a repair. Over many years, this faucet had corroded and much of the interior fell apart. Because of the pending delivery and also without water to the entire house, I needed a repair right away. Roto--Rooter was able to get Brandon out quickly. Due to the age of the home, this faucet was a press-on type. Brandon did not have that style in his onboard stock - so he went to a local hardware store - found the needed parts, bought a special tool he needed to remove the old faucet, and returned to quickly complete the job. We decided to replace the hot water faucet at the same time. Brandon was courteous, professional and quick. I have water and the delivery and hookup of the new machine went off as scheduled. I am very satisfied.

Brandon was the plumber responding to service our faucet. This was the second time Brandon has assisted us at our residence (2nd time he was requested by name). He is punctual, courteous, informative (answering my questions), and successfully accomplished fixing our sink. I have used this service provider several times and each time they have been responsive to our needs, courteous, and get the done right the first time. Roy was very professional and courteous. He explained to me why it leaked in the first place and how to keep it from leaking again. (It only gets lubrication by the use of turning the handle and keeping the grease moving through the part.) I hardly ever use this faucet and he explained it's the lack of use that caused the part to go bad. He didn't mind my watching him (I enjoy learning how 'things' work).

The service man walked me thru how to fix my sink over the phone. He was amazing! Their customer service is the best! I will always use them in the future!

Roto Rooter had a plumber out to me almost immediately and he did a good job for a fair price quoted up front. I'd give them an "A" except he accidentally flooded the cabinet under the sink at one point, but otherwise it all went great. I'd use them again.
