We had 50 Italian Cypress trees planted by Rexius in late 2021. Instead of digging into the native soil, Rexius laid a berm of fresh dirt and planted the trees in the dirt berm. they left the top 1/3 of the rootballs above the surface of the dirt. when we questioned about so much of the rootball not being in the ground, they said that Italian cypress grow best this way. however, because they didn't dig into the native soil, the berm has no lateral support/pressure to securely hold the roots, so here we are over 3 years later, and the Italian cypress will not stay up strait on their own. they get blown over by the wind. I attempted to take the support posts off earlier this year (2.5 years after planting) and they all started to lean with the wind. i have spent an enormous amount of time trying to make the trees stand up strait on their own, but I'm convinced that because Rexius didn't prep the ground right and give the trees a proper supportive base for the roots to spread out, I don't know if they will ever be able to support themselves. when I asked Rexius to fix the issue, they were going to charge me ove me $5k to add some dirt! so frustrating!!! last time I will ever use Rexius.

I had previously given a bad review for Rexius, but I think it's likely a no fault communication error. Overall, they are very good, reliable but pricey. On the other hand, they can do ANYTHING you could possibly want and it's fair to say that you get what you pay for. I have and will continue to hire others for some jobs, but for something big or something critical, I'll hire Rexius.

Although I had to wait more than a month for the blow-in service, the truck arrived on time and blew the bark in the front and back yards about 2 inches deep, fairly uniformly. They blew the bark off concrete and wood surfaces afterward and left both yards tidy.

I was prepared to have more work done but the tech suggested I try a less expensive option first. Its not perfect but appreciated not trying to sell me more than I needed.

They were here today. They are a fairly large company here, and they have lots of landscaping things like rocks, and they also do landscaping. I live out in the country and it is difficult to find landscapers out here where I am. They are not doing weeding, which is what most landscapers don't do unless you pay them a lot. I have 10 acres so I don't think so. The price was reasonable for what I need to have him do. The price varies with what they do, it is not a per hour thing.

They do all kinds of things. They did a lot of work. They moved big boulders in, put in soil, put in a small lawn, put in a small deck and gravel paths. It was spring time and they worked about March through May. It was not everyday, they kind of come and go. It was great. They set the basics down and then I did all the other work. It is kind of a Asian garden. It is just the way they work, it is so hard to find people that come everyday because they are working on different jobs. They are a really big business in Eugene. When they came, they were very punctual.

We were very pleased with Andrew Vanderpool's proposal. He was responsive to what we requested, provided a good quote and supervised the Rexius team to make the landscaping job complete. They had to regrade some of the lot, remove ivy, bamboo, St. and John's Wart ground covering, and then install sprinklers, planting boxes, stairs and retaining walls.
We are very happy with the result and have had a lot of compliments on the overall job.

Went fine. They make a very good effort to minimize damage to herbaceous plants, and there was very little overblow onto sidewalks.

Worked with Mark at Rexius on this last phase of my landscape project. Mark reviewed my sketch, listened to my needs and helped figure out the details. Work started and completed as scheduled. The crew was proficient and efficient. The final cost was a couple hundred dollars below estimate. Very satisfied.

Three days after our first phone call, Marti Gilbert, Rexius designer-consultant-supervisor, was on-site, studying the back yard and our "plan". Two weeks later, we had a contract/bid and her A-team scheduled to start work; within six weeks Marti, James and David had transformed the yard beyond our expectations.
They removed a 12 by 27 ft cedar deck, wood steps going up the sloping back yard, and four wood retaining walls with back-filled soil. (Nine 8x8 vertical timbers were each set in three feet of concrete.) Clay out-weighed soil by a 3 to 1 ratio - a real treat when the rains arrived. All these, and a hundred or so cubic yards of dirt/clay, were hauled off. Non-functioning drain lines were also removed, replaced and supplemented.
The patio area was graded and the remaining sloping yard excavated for curved and serpentine retaining walls and steps of Anchor Highland 3-piece stone and Belgard pavers. With multiple curves and a challenging slope, this project required artistic and technical attention to detail; the team had this and more. James and David brought to the job extraordinary old-world craftsmanship not frequently seen today.
Access to the backyard required my removal and resetting of two fence posts and four sections of fencing - a small price for pay for getting heavy equipment onto the site. With the project completed late in October and the Eugene "monsoon season" arriving, the application of polymeric sand on the pavers and steps was postponed until spring. But for the first time in decades, we have drain lines that do the job right - no pooled water anywhere. And a patio and retaining walls that are amazing.

They came out two or three weeks ago but they're going to come later to do something else. He was real forward and polite. He did a good job. He did what we wanted him to do. We didn't go with anybody else. The price seems fair to me. He came well from the time he said. We are going to use him again.

The initial process went just fine. The men showed up as scheduled as did our salesman. It went well and the installers did an excellent job and left things looking better than when they arrived.
We have had had some issues in getting some remedial work done, since some do the seeding did not establish. We are still waiting. Had they been a bit more responsive, they would have gotten better reviews.
The good news is that we have not billed nor have we paid, so we are still hopeful of a good outcome.
