OREGON TAXI

Train was on time. Taxi did not show up. After 10 minutes I called and was told that the taxi was on it's way. After another 10 minutes I called and cancelled my pickup.

I use them a lot. There is something called Delux Taxi that is tied in with Oregon Taxi, but the Delux Taxi takes people to medical appointments. Just yesterday, for the first time, I rode in a vehicle that was owned by something called Security First and they do medical transports. I do not have to pay for their service. We have something called RideSource and it is for people who have medical problems or different issues. So, if you were just calling from your home and wanted a ride it is a whole different thing. What I like about them is that for one thing their drivers tend to be more professional. I can speak the most about Oregon Taxi, because I have only ridden Delux twice and the Security First once. So I can speak the most about Oregon Taxi and compare them to some other cab companies in the area. Their drivers are friendly and professional. Their vehicles are clean. Sometimes, a person can have some unusual experiences in the cabs and I am always glad if I am getting Oregon Taxi. Some of the other company cabs are dirty. Some of other companies drivers are very nice, but every now and then there is somebody who is kind of unsettling and that has not likely happened at all in an Oregon Taxi. They let you use a credit card.

I always felt a little uneasy with a few of their drivers. They never gave me the 20% discount for reserving in advance unless I reminded them. I decided not to use them again after a current driver told me he had a female customer's husband run out of the house yelling "is this the guy?" I later used a different company where the owner of this different company confirmed that he had worked previously for Oregon taxi and the reason that driver had that experience (which the driver didn't tell me, of course) was because another male driver at Oregon Taxi hit on ladies he carried in his cab and harassed them for their phone numbers. And, not all of their drivers had clean driving and/or criminal records. This could all be an elaborate story to draw business away, but this new company I used has been reliable and every driver since much nicer and better than Oregon Taxi. Either way, why take the risk when you are a female often traveling alone like myself? I have yet to find a company that I truly feel comfortable with all the drivers and I find reliable, but at least avoid this one!
