"Wow, is this Angie's list or Facebook? How can I possibly respond to such a bogus and untrue evaluation? How does Angies List allow such slander? First, the member is dishonest and untruthful. This is a claim that is over a year old. To boot, he has only paid me $100 of the $300 he owes me via PayPal, not $600. He even asked if he could make payments because he was cash-strapped. Furthermore, he has owed me for work that I did at the request of his girlfriend/wife/significant other. She was not his tenant, but the mother of his child. He hired me to take care of his property when he left due to relationship issues which I unfortunately became embroiled. I did what was asked of me, no more no less. He became angry when his girlfriend/wife, or whatever, became flirtatious. I did not respond to her even when she offered me a beer after a hard day's work in her t-shirt and underwear ( the beer looked good, but the rest...nah.). This is a case for small claims court and a lawyer. Period."

"The member was correct - I did miss a Sunday appointment. I did not make the Sunday appointment because I was at Urgent Care for an immediate health issue for most of the day (and off work for subsequent recovery). Unfortunately, I was unable to contact him to reschedule the appointment. He called my message service and terminated my services within 30 minutes of the scheduled appointment and requested that I not contact him again. There is more to this situation than just a missed appointment. Since I was initially hired by his wife and not him, he indicated on another occasion that he preferred another maintenance company of his choosing, not hers. This was apparently a no-win scenario for my company."

"I pride myself on doing a job well. As subscribers of Angieslist can see, I have many satisfied customers. If someone is unhappy, I want to make them happy. But first I must know that they are unhappy with my work (in my defense, the member did not indicate any problems until the Angieslist post). I have a growing business, and as such, I must hire competent employees to complete the more arduous work. I run several crews during my busy summer season. I cannot possible supervise each and every job personally. However, I do follow-up with my crews to verify their work and inspect the job site to verify completion. Whenever there is a problem the customer usually tells me prior to paying the invoice. Since, I did not hear of any problems form the member, I assumed he satisfied. I apologize for not knowing his dissatisfaction. If I would have known he wanted more than what we contracted for - I would have gladly performed additional services at no charge. However, to date, he has never responded to my attempts to contact him or make amends."
