First, her services do not include packing...a disappointment I tried to overlook.  The owner and an assistant would come in at a specific, appointed time, set up two work tables and proceeded to empty drawers, cupboards and shelves, one or two at a time and  then request that I stand and select only the things that I felt I really needed.  In the process, I felt pressured to get rid of things that I thought they expected me to.  One example stands out:  My plastic tub containing my "tools", i.e. pliers, screw drivers, nails, etc.  I was astonished that, first, the box was opened and its contents spread on a table, but then I was required to select an assortment of things deemed "essential" and I kept two or three different kinds of screw drivers and dismissed the rest as unnecessary.  This whole process was very tedious, and quite emotional at times. This elimination process was repeated with kitchen equipment, linens, dishes and glassware.   In the case of my wardrobe, I felt pressured to eliminate many items of clothing, including some still with tags, that were considered excessive.  This process went on for days until the morning, the assistant came to photograph the way things were stored; cupboards, drawers, shelves.  I was asked not to move anything before being photographed so that everything could be recreated in my new home.  This was the morning of September 30...one and a half days before the movers were due to come on Thursday, October 2.  It was impossible for me to accomplish much packing in the short time left, necessitating the packing to be done by the movers who did an impressive job considering the additional work.
Their setup in my new home was done quite nicely, on Friday, October 3.  But, the process of "organizing and downsizing" was extremely stressful.  If I had known what it would entail, I would never have contracted Move in Comfort's services!
