Because of the double-pane, special construxion, something something of the window, it had to be special ordered and would take two weeks. They requested half the cost for a deposit, but we paid in full to make things easy. After 3 weeks and hearing nothing, I called to check in. The person was going to get back to me by the next day. I never heard from her. I followed up two more times over the next two weeks, and the same thing happened. Finally I called and expressed my frustration that it had been over six weeks and no one was returning my calls. The person said she'd research it and call right back, but never did. I called the next day and finally got a manager to return my call. Apparently the original paperwork was lost and the window never got ordered and they would need to remeasure and place the order. I declined and requested a refund, which they did do promptly. I'm disappointed in their customer service and organisation. Had they discovered the mistake after the original call, we could have addressed the problem weeks ago.

Fine. I don't know how the price compares to similar projects at other providers because I didn't shop, but I'm sure it was reasonable (even after a little sticker shock). I had to convince them to send an estimator (they wanted me to bring the window in, which was challenging, since it's in a wall). The estimator was great: timely, efficient, and helpful in solving the problem. The office staff was OK, but obviously had better things to do than talk to me. Final product is perfect replacement and still appears as good as new 45 days later (after winter rainstorms).

Wayne came out on time for estimate; explained everything in detail; had the samples of window film for me to choose from. On-time for the actual job, very professional, nice workmanship. Had him come back to look at the compromised window, which also had a problem with the film sticking. He had the new window made, applied the film in the shop, and came back on-time again to install. Very pleased with the work. Will use them again.

They did an excellent job. They did a great job. It was beautiful and gorgeous. They were professional and on time.

They are a preferred vender. I have used them on several occasions. I would recommend them to other. They have always been prompt and they follow up. They had to do a little more work, and they still honored the estimate.

I acquired 3 quotes. The one I accepted and one other were within $10 of each other; the third was $600 less but limitations made this quote unacceptable. Lane County Glass (LCG) came onsite to prepare a quote. I placed the order with a $1000 down payment; payment in full was made upon completion of the installation. The door was a custom size and therefore took 1 extra week to deliver (2 wks overall). I would have appreciated some communication from the company during this period. Once the door was delivered to LCG they promptly scheduled installation. The 2 man crew arrived promptly but weren't aware this was a new install, even though one of the installers had generated the original quote! They had to build up the opening which took one extra day (2 overall). The finished install was very professional; the carpentry was well done. I paid a premium price for the door so as to acquire a product that would meet energy requirements to qualify for the 2009 energy tax credit. Launi at LCG was helpful in selecting a door that would qualify and provided all of the needed documentation to complete the tax return.

When our garage door started malfunctioning, I had to call three different companies-including the sole dealer in town of our type of garage door-before finding Lane County Glass. The contact person, Launi, always returned calls promptly, but getting on the schedule for service was another thing altogether. From the date I called them, it was one full month before the work was completed, including time for the parts to be shipped and the work to be scheduled. I am very happy to have an operational garage door opener, but disappointed that it was out-of-commission for so long.

From the beginning, communication was a problem. We came to realize that they were completely overbooked, but there was never a point when they said, "Look, we'd love to help you, but we're swamped and our guys are already overworked. We're sorry, but we hope you'll try us again next time." Every time I made a request for service, or explained exactly what we wanted, they argued with me, told me that we didn't need something, and they couldn't get to it anyway, and if they could it would cost us $300 extra. While some of the individuals were very nice (though clearly harried from overwork and stress), the final straw came when one of the workers behaved completely inappropriately (several times) to one of our employees. We chose to cancel the job. While we were assured that the worker would not be allowed back on our site, it wasn't clear whether the company took the behavior as seriously as we did. We received a bill for the work done before we cancelled the job. Our Manager wrote a very descriptive and definitive letter to the president of Lane Glass telling him of our experience. As soon as he received the letter, he called our Manager and told her that they would cancel the invoice, and not charge us for the work done because of our very bad experience with them. He apologized, and provided some additional background information, and left us with the belief that he was definitely taking our complaints seriously and would be taking action to correct the problems.

They did an absolute wonderful job. They are great to work with.
