Salesman Bryan Mumme was very helpful and helped us make an informed selection.
The washer and dryer were delivered and set up as promised.  Next morning, first use of washer, and it leaked!  Called Bryan at 9am.  I received an immediate call back from Service Manager Don.  All of his service people were busy, so he came out himself.  We live about 17 miles from their store.   He found a factory-installed hose that was defective.  He drove back to town and returned with a new hose, installed it, and I was back in business by noon.  That is great customer service.

"[Member Name Removed], once again, thank you for writing a review on both Yelp and Angie's list for us, it is greatly appreciated. We work hard to take care of problems as fast as we can when they occur. I'm glad we could find the perfect set of laundry for you, and get it in working order when the part from the factory was defective out of the box. Thank you again, Bryan"

They are something for people to avoid in Eugene. Not only did we have a horrific experience but everyone we talked to have had an equally bad, if not, the worst experience. They gave us a floor model that was broken. I could not get them to come and service it. Their service department gave us a total run around, literally calling us weeks in a row and saying, "Oh, we can't make it there today." "Oh, they sent us the wrong parts." "Oh, we can't get there until next week." I finally got pretty upset. Just the way they treated us was horrible. They were snippy on the phone. We got an oven. It had a problem and when I called the company they asked if I knew that that had been like a factory second and I said, "No." It has gone on and on. We had to return the dish washer in the end and say, "There's absolutely no way you can give us this broken floor model and not repair it." It was just bad. I never got customer service. When I called to return the dishwasher the sales person who sold it to us, didn't even call us back and didn't even want to know why. Some of the stories that other people have told are really upsetting. They have been around for years. I don't know who they're keeping happy. I don't know how they do it. I haven't found anybody who has had a good experience. They were fine on price.

"Hello [Member name removed], Thank you for taking time to write of your experience with our store. The service you received is not acceptable, and not the way we operate at Oldfield’s. I noticed you purchased your appliances in 2012, according to Angie’s List, is this correct? I would like to look into your problems, as these are not acceptable actions by many people who were involved from sales to service. I will look up your information from the information you have listed here to see what I can find for you. You can contact me directly at [email protected] with any additional information you may have, and I am happy to see what I can find out. I apologize for the service you received, and I will be in contact. Thank you, Bryan Mumme Oldfield’s Appliance"

When we bought our Jenn Air stove, we were not informed by Oldfields that Jenn Air stoves had radically gone down in quality. Don't buy Jenn Air!! ...After only 1 month, our Jenn Air oven door started making a really loud noise every time it was opened or closed. So, about 3 months after we bought it, when the noise still continued, the salesperson at Oldfields said "just lube the oven door with WD-40" . I did not do that because WD-40 is flameable. Then soon 9 months after that, the door completely broke. After a lot of bickering with the reps at Jenn Air and Oldfields, the Jenn Air company finally fixed the door for free. Then a couple of years later, one of the big front burners stopped working. It was out of Warentee by then so we now need to buy another stove. IT's  way too expensive in parts & service to replace the burner......Again, DON'T BUY JENN AIR!!
Response from Kelly's Appliances
"Hello (removed member name), Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. Receiving reviews, good or bad, are always helpful to us. I am sorry your Jenn-Air range was not of the quality you felt it should be after purchase. I wish I could say all new ranges are built like the models we are used to from years and years ago, but they are not. The other problem we run into is the exact one you did, parts are extremely expensive compared to what they used to be for appliances. I’m very unhappy to hear a salesperson here recommended to you that WD-40 would be a good solution for oven hinges that were noisy. That should have been handed to our service department and somebody should have come out immediately to check it out for you. I have a feeling there was an underlying issue with the door that was causing the noise, thus making it completely break 9 months later. I apologize for the time and expense you had to go through when it should have been taken care of around the first month of ownership. I never like to hear you had to spend time bickering to get your door replaced at no cost. The manufacturer gives only what they want as far as a warranty on each product of theirs, and we cannot extend that at no cost. We work on each and every appliance we sell, and I will say we have a lot of customers who unfortunately run out of warranty by a few months and ask us to fix it for free, which we cannot do. The one thing we have is contact numbers for each company that is typically not a standard number, and sometimes the companies stand more behind their products than others. Again, thank you for taking the time to write the review. Thank you, Bryan"

I have bought all my appliances from Oldfield's Electronics for the last 20 years. They always have good prices, they deal very well with you, and they are prompt on delivery.

This was a nightmare that ended up costing us over a $1000.00.  Oldfield would not stand behind the product they sold (Electrolux Dishwasher).  They would not honor a 20 plus year customer realtionship.  Repair person was totally incompetent.  Nightmare experience with Oldfield Appliance and repair.

To begin, the refrigerator would not go through the door and the salesman failed to mention that. I took the door off the refrigerator and my doorframe just to fit it in. It failed within the first 3 months. I felt that he was disinterested and just trying to make some money. We ordered the part but it did not come back as the right part. In addition to that, their service manager was extremely rude. I was appalled by his attitude. I told them I was with Angie's List and the owner called back and apologized right after. They brought a different refrigerator but once again it was the wrong one. I couldn't be more disappointed with my experience with them. I went through 3 machines because of them and they were all bad. And there was no sincere apology. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Repairs went fine and solved the problem. Cost was in the middle of the estimate range provided. My only quibble was that it took a little while for the parts to get in because they had to be shipped from elsewhere. I don't know for sure, but my gut sense was that it took maybe a day or two longer than was strictly necessary. Problem diagnosed on Thursday; repaired the following Tuesday. Our fridge/freezer was only sort of working during the downtime, so it was a significant inconvenience to have to wait for the parts. I called and checked with one other service provider and they couldn't get the parts in right away either, so that might have just been the nature of the beast.

My compliment is that it was kind of a weird problem that seemed like it might be tricky to diagnose. Parts of the freezer weren't working at all, while parts of the fridge were freezing things solid. But the problem was completely solved on the first repair attempt, so they were good at figuring out what the problem was and fixing it.

They were helpful.  I always go back there so I like the quality of the appliance.  There were big selections.  They were very friendly and professional.  Their knowledge about the appliance seems to be good.  I like their pricing.  They give discounts and stuff.  The location is fine.  I’m going to go back there and I like them.

The Appliance Giant Oldfield?s Company is good. My interaction with them has been real smooth. I?ve had no problems. They have been around for a long time, so they are an established company. They have a service department. I was in a leads group with one of the employees there and he has always been extremely helpful every time I?ve walked through the doors. He would immediately greet me and attend to my needs. It has been a good experience. It is a good store and their prices are competitive. I would absolutely use them in the future when required.

I still had 3 weeks left on the 10 year duration of the parts only warranty, but the serviceman explained that labor to replace the compressor would be approximately $250-300 which he didn't think was a worthwhile investment given the age of the refrigerator and liklihood that other parts may soon fail. I agreed, and decided to buy myself a new fridge for Christmas.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator and a range for my home two years ago. At the point of purchase they offered me an extended warranty which I purchased. When my refrigerator failed to defrost I called Oldfields and they asked me to call the warranty company which I did. They contacted Oldfields and arranged service the next day. They had to order the part and completed the service within a week. The cost of the service was fully covered by the warranty and I paid nothing. This is the level of excellence I have come to expect from Oldfields.

We'd done business with Oldfield's 12 years ago and knew them to be solid. When it came time for a new washer/dryer, we went back and were pleased that the same salesman, sales associate Rick Caldwell was still on the job. He asked us what our requirements were, our preferences and then showed us a few models. Gauging from our responses he pointed out different options and recommended a final pair which was a good match, offering energy rebates, discounts, service package discounts and firm, positive answers to our questions. We signed on the dotted line and he made sure we had all the rebate forms necessary to get the discounts -- even made a copy of the invoices that needed to be attached to the rebate forms! The machines have performed as promised and, as I hear the laundry room in action, I thought it a good time to recommend Rick and Oldfield's.

After we purchased the refrigerator we discovered that the ice maker did not work. Getting them to live up to their service agreement has been horrible. The first repairmen that they sent told us that something was wrong and to not tell my boss and he would fix it. It broke again after two or three months. After calling numberous times they sent someone to look at it and charged $60.00 for the visit. They sent someone out twice and nothing was fixed. They finanally gave me a work authorization number on 9/13/06 of G308K908. We waited and called and called. They eventually came out again and said they fixed it but it went out again after a short time. I will never use them again. On 3/12/09 I recevied a letter from them to call right away. They said that a product we had purchased recently was being recalled. The product however was for a Maytag product which we did not purchase.

Repairman was here on time and got right to work. Listened to our description of problems, replaced pump motor and discounted the service call price because we had already drained the tub saving him time. After he left the I ran a load of wash and the awful sound returned. I called the office and they had the same repairman out the next morning. He apologized for not hearing the noise the day before - realized our repair would actually be closer to $500 not the original $200 he charged yesterday. He recommend that it wasn't worth the repair and immediately replaced the $200 motor with the broken one, gave us our check back and only charged us for the service call. He stayed and talked to us about the different brands of washers, ideas on purchasing a washer, never talking about the appliance store he was affiliated with.

The worker showed up on time to all of the appointments for this service. It took him a total of three visits before he was able to fix it. This was not his fault. He had to order the part from New Zealand, so it took an extra 3 days for the part to come in. Once he had the part, he was able to fix the washer without any problems.
