The washer and dryer were delivered and set up as promised. Next morning, first use of washer, and it leaked! Called Bryan at 9am. I received an immediate call back from Service Manager Don. All of his service people were busy, so he came out himself. We live about 17 miles from their store. He found a factory-installed hose that was defective. He drove back to town and returned with a new hose, installed it, and I was back in business by noon. That is great customer service.
"[Member Name Removed], once again, thank you for writing a review on both Yelp and Angie's list for us, it is greatly appreciated. We work hard to take care of problems as fast as we can when they occur. I'm glad we could find the perfect set of laundry for you, and get it in working order when the part from the factory was defective out of the box. Thank you again, Bryan"
"Hello [Member name removed], Thank you for taking time to write of your experience with our store. The service you received is not acceptable, and not the way we operate at Oldfield’s. I noticed you purchased your appliances in 2012, according to Angie’s List, is this correct? I would like to look into your problems, as these are not acceptable actions by many people who were involved from sales to service. I will look up your information from the information you have listed here to see what I can find for you. You can contact me directly at [email protected] with any additional information you may have, and I am happy to see what I can find out. I apologize for the service you received, and I will be in contact. Thank you, Bryan Mumme Oldfield’s Appliance"
"Hello (removed member name), Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. Receiving reviews, good or bad, are always helpful to us. I am sorry your Jenn-Air range was not of the quality you felt it should be after purchase. I wish I could say all new ranges are built like the models we are used to from years and years ago, but they are not. The other problem we run into is the exact one you did, parts are extremely expensive compared to what they used to be for appliances. I’m very unhappy to hear a salesperson here recommended to you that WD-40 would be a good solution for oven hinges that were noisy. That should have been handed to our service department and somebody should have come out immediately to check it out for you. I have a feeling there was an underlying issue with the door that was causing the noise, thus making it completely break 9 months later. I apologize for the time and expense you had to go through when it should have been taken care of around the first month of ownership. I never like to hear you had to spend time bickering to get your door replaced at no cost. The manufacturer gives only what they want as far as a warranty on each product of theirs, and we cannot extend that at no cost. We work on each and every appliance we sell, and I will say we have a lot of customers who unfortunately run out of warranty by a few months and ask us to fix it for free, which we cannot do. The one thing we have is contact numbers for each company that is typically not a standard number, and sometimes the companies stand more behind their products than others. Again, thank you for taking the time to write the review. Thank you, Bryan"
"Hello [name removed], I am sorry to see we received a bad review from you. I would like to know what happened so we can make sure things don't happen again, and to address the problems you had with our company. Bryan Mumme"
My compliment is that it was kind of a weird problem that seemed like it might be tricky to diagnose. Parts of the freezer weren't working at all, while parts of the fridge were freezing things solid. But the problem was completely solved on the first repair attempt, so they were good at figuring out what the problem was and fixing it.
