One of my double hung wood windows slammed shut on my fingers and  when I was trying to open the window.  So I called to see if he could figure out why the top window would no longer stay up on it's own.  He came out to my house and reattached the springs and did not charge me.

For 30 years this door has been misaligned and had to be opened and shot pushing really hard with your shoulder. The door was just not quite home right but it wasn't bad enough to fix until I decided why am I leaning on this door so hard every time to open and close it.... The reason was is I did not know or trust anyone to fix it without just telling me to get a new door and frame. A contractor friend of mine told me to call Dave and have him come over and look at the door. This other contractor told me that Dave was one of the best door people in town and was very honest and high integrity and does quality work. I highly recommend Dave if you have any door that doesn't feel right or you know needs fixing but doors can be tough let me tell you Dave will give you honest advice and if you could fix it he will. Dave came over to my house on time was very friendly and respectful of my house. I showed him the door in about 10 seconds he told me the fundamental problem and he said he thought he could fix it in about an hour and that he would charge $75 for that hour. David came out and measured the door - giving me the information I needed to go and order a door and storm door. When they came in, he contacted me and scheduled dates for installation. I warned him that doors have a history of shifting in my house, so when the new door became nearly impossible to close after the rains, he came out and modified it - no cost. I have had no problems since.
He was friendly, prompt and professional. I will use him again.

David was extremely accommodating in dealing with my scheduling issues. He allowed me to order the gaskets myself and save some money. He made sure everything was working correctly, and even tried to fix one of the locks. He was on-time, worked efficiently and cleaned up; very professional and knows his stuff.

I was happy with the quality of the installation and the hardware used. I was given advice about the relative difficulty of installing different levels of stoutness, and was satisfied with the choice I made.

The guy that came out had a great personality and was just a great guy. He did a lot of work. He was here a long time and fixed everything perfectly. It's an old house so it is hard to fit everything perfectly.

After house was leveled with helical piers, one of two sliding glass doors no longer opened easily. Called David and he came out the next day. After getting the sliding door working, he then worked on an adjacent sliding door that would not lock. Both doors are working well.

I have used them a couple of times. We have a big home center here, besides which we have a local home centre too. The last time I used David from Eugene Custom Sash and Door, was because I had a break in, at my house and I had to have the doors replaced. I wanted solid wood doors as the previous doors were solid wooden doors. I went to another company, but they took forever. It took them forever to come out to the house and measure. They told me that they wouldn't be able to put in solid wooden doors and that I would have to go for pre-hung doors To get the pre hung doors, they would have to alter the way my doors and the way my entry way is hooked. This kept happening back and forth and I had to keep driving all the way to the other company. After a month, we are still going back and forth and they sent me a contract. I sent it back and realized something wasn't right. It was also quite expensive. I finally realized that what they were going to do on my doors was unacceptable as it was going to alter the way the entry way looked. I got sick of all this and remembered that suddenly I had David from Eugene Custom Sash And Door, who had come out and done window work for me years before. I called him and first of all he came out to measure the very next day. He said he would do the work. The alteration part was maybe because my house settles a little bit, and there's a slate which is not exactly square in the doorway or something. He had hung the new doors within in the next 4-5 days and they were the most perfect fitting doors that I have in my entire house or ever had. He is a skilled craftsman and a very nice person. He is convenient. He is attentive. I got a better price from David than the others. Although I love the other company for many things, I don't think I like them for appliance or installations. I think the individual people who specialize in that stuff are better and I have the highest recommendation for them.

David replaced our home's front door. He was prompt, professional, and very helpful throughout. He suggested different door styles, directed me to a website to select the style. His estimate matched the price of the completed project. Everything was done on time. He custom fit the door and added some upgrades to the weatherizing around the door. He cleaned up after each visit. It took just two visits to complete the job. He also had the new door stained and sealed. The final product was beautiful and added value to our home. After a burglery, I was anxious to replace the two hollow core doors, one of which had been easily kicked in. I started by going to a large local home store, looking at doors, but when they came to measure, they said they could not give me just doors, but that I would have to get pre-hung doors. The reason given for this was that my home had settled and the door frames were no longer square. What do I know? I said ok. Although the pre-hung doors would ruin the aesthetics of my house. I was prepared to live with it. However, when after a month, there were still delays and details which were not working out, I remembered David, who had done a door for me 10 years earlier. He did some carpentry work (I wasn't watching, but he had saws and such), and I must say that the new doors fit much better than the old doors. They are so snug, they are a perfect fit. David was easy to work with. I would not use anyone else for my doors and windows in the future. I love the new doors. They are beautiful, swing easily and shut with a solid sound. The locks and knobs are smooth to use also. I couldn't be happier.

David is extremely responsive and has been out to the house the very day we have called him. He does awesome, quick work for a surprisingly fair price. He whistles while he works too. What more can we ask?
