He has done a good job and we are satisfied

He was very good at framing but that is what he should have stuck to. He is not good at anything else. He said he could put countertops in for the kitchen but no he couldn't. He laid some flooring down but there was some tearing in the floor. He didn't put in a landing correctly. We would never recommend him and we would never use him again. The framing was good but everything else wasn't. He volunteered to do other things and in some cases he could but most of the time he couldn't.

I found the contractor difficult to work with. He had worked on a rental and he was okay on that. However, I spent about $25000 for the work he did on the house. He didn?t quite know what he was doing. The sink isn?t level and so, the water sort of runs to the back. There is an exterior door on the project and the safety lock on that has never fit. He seemed to have trouble working with the permit guys. Fortunately, my partner is retired and works a lot on building projects for disabled people. So, he has a lot of construction experience and it all went better because he kind of supervised. He was not working side by side with the contractor, but he stopped to chat about what he was doing and helped him out. The price wasn?t unreasonable. We didn?t bid for that particular job because it was pretty small, but I think his price was reasonable. I would not use him again in the future.
