She is good when she's there.

Tran listened to us describe what we wanted and then suggested a style that would be good for us with our hair types. We both really like what she did. She gave us haircuts that look great whether  we  curl our hair or not.  My mothers hair is fine so if she doesn't curl her hair it still looks good with the style Tran gave her.  We are both love what Tran did and she is a very nice lady, going back to Tran for our next hair cuts. My hair was long and Tran gave me a really cute short cut with style and I wear bangs and she did a great job with them.

I was seen by Tran!  I brought in a picture of what I wanted, and she
talked to me about about my hair, and how that style wouldn't work, with
my hair type, but that she could do something similar, that would look
great!  Boy was she right!!!!  I loved the cut, and it is easily
reproduced!  Which is important for me, as I am "challenged" in my
ability to style my hair!  I was a little nervous about changing my hair
so drastically, but I am very glad to have found Tran!

I have been going to see Tran at Chez Ly ever since I found this wonderful shop. Tran told me the very first time I sat in her chair that I had the wrong haircut for the shape of my face. I personally like the opinion of a professional. That is part of what I am paying for. I don't mind taking suggestions when it comes to my hair style. I have found I am not a good judge of what hairstyle suits me the best. I have had many compliments on my new style and I am grateful I have learned to listen when a stylist makes a suggestion. It's only hair and it will grow back if I absolutely hate it!! The only reason I didn't give an A for professionalism is because it is a very laid back atmosphere and Tran frequently has her young son in the shop . That is not a problem for me but the shop is definitely not your and quot;High Endand quot; snooty salon. If that is what you are looking for, go somewhere else. If you are looking for a stylist who will give you a great hair style at a very reasonable price then this is the place to go!

Tran is very responsive to client's wishes and has an excellent knowledge of hair styling. I have difficult hair and have been more pleased here than at other Eugene salons.

Tran is beyond the best. How did I ever run into this young woman in a small mall who has exquisite talent and is a treasure. I've had $100 haircuts and yet, she is a hair stylist who has, over the years, never led me wrong. Also, I still love how she makes my stubborn husband trim himself back into a resemblance of the man I married years ago and the one I still love. Tran is profoundly professional, sweet and has an eye for the perfect hair cut for you.

I found Tran early on. She has done my hair for years now. Her simple, elegant technique is always what I ask for. Also, I ask for her opinion and it is never wrong. Then, she takes my husband by the hand and trims his overwrought beard and his remarkable head of unruly hair. She does it with a gentle hand and he looks so much better. I do look better too. I wouldn't trade going to her for a free $200 hair cut or style. She has true artistry and talent: a real treasure.

I had another great haircut from Tran today and I was the only customer while I was there and that made me wonder why she doesn't have more business but it has to be either location or lack of exposure which is why I'm writing this review. She really is the only person who cuts my hair to my liking. It's hard for me to describe what I want so I just say really short, or long or something like that and she does it and I've never had a bad cut yet. I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend Tran.

A friendly, skillful woman by the name of Tran is the proprietor and stylist at Chez Ly. She proves that you can get a quality haircut at a reasonable cost.
I won't go anywhere else for a haircut because Tran has given me an excellent haircut every single visit, she is fast, and her prices are far below what I used to pay elsewhere for lousy haircuts that took forever.
Her shop is located in a shopping center across from Churchill High School and there is plenty of free parking.

I've been there many times for my haircuts. They are excellent. Also had upper lip and eyebrow waxing and facial. All great. My husband hates getting a haircut at at times his beard is a horror show. I dragged him to Chez Ly and he was so comfortable in warm surroundings with a shampoo, a great haircut (best I ever saw on him) and a meticulous beard trim. No more hairy neck and cheeks. He really was happy in the hands of a young lady named Tran. She is proficient, talented and as good as any $60+ professional I've ever been to. They do coloring and have other services. Very family friendly. Kids are $11 and adults a mere $14.00 for a basic styling haircut. I would not go anywhere else. It is a true find in a small mall located at 2101 Bailey Hill Rd.
