He was excellent. He came out to replace water lines. Did the repair then found a bad valve. It was was ordered, he came back as soon as it showed up and quickly installed. All is good. He is my “go to” guy from now on!

He's been working for us for 30 years or more. You wouldn't have somebody keep working for you that long if you didn't really like him. All my friends use him now too. The work was completed in probably half an hour. He's very experienced, knowledgeable, responsive and very pleasant. He left the area spotless. They do washers, dryers, refrigerators...you name it, they can do it. If you find somebody good, you gotta stick with him.

He has been out three times and it's still not fixed. He was very friendly and seemed to understand what he was doing, but he just couldn't figure out what was wrong with the refrigerator. I still got charged, but it still leaks. They charged an initial visit fee and the repair that he did was $90. Their initial house call was like $125 or so. They were not expensive, but they didn't fix it.

AYS was a God Send! My freezer broke down in a French door type refrigerator. This was on 9/21 and after a long drawn out process with an inept company based in Portland (I live in Eugene) I called my appliance home insurance company and they called a local vendor At Your Service. I called them about 15 minutes later and explained the situation. They sent someone in a few days and my freezer was fixed right away. Daniel was the tech. He was on time, very nice, knew what he was doing and professional.

They were through in eliminating the possibility of a problem with the machine. Turned out that it had to do with the connection at our home. Saved us a lot of money!

fixed the immediate problem and then had me use it a few times to make sure all was well and then came back and replaced a motor that was iffy. Did not replace it right away because he wasn't sure it needed to be.

During the first visit Daniel came to diagnose the problem. He knew exactly what the problem was based on my description. He did a temporary fix that allowed me to use the dishwasher until the part came in. Daniel returned a second time and discovered that the new part was ordered incorrectly (the manufacturer sent the wrong one). He returned the third time and put in the correct pump.
He always arrived during the scheduled time frame and called when he was on his way. He was very polite, efficient and cleaned up after the work was done.
There are only 2 appliance repair places in Eugene/Springfield that fix Asko dishwashers and At Your Service is one of them. I would recommend them to other customers.

I'm not sure if the challenges were all the company's fault or partly the tenant.

The built-in microwave (3 yrs old) would light up and make noise but nothing got heated. I have used At Your Service several times in the past and have been extremely pleased with their professionalism and their work, so I called them and was able to get an appointment for a tech to come over later that week (Thursday). They called before arriving as agreed, but then showed up over an hour late - not really a big issue for me but it could be for someone else. David showed up, came in, verified that indeed the microwave was not heating anything and said it might be the magnetron (an expensive part) and that he needed to take it into their shop to find out what exactly the problem actually was. Since it might end up being an expensive repair, we agreed that he would call me the following Monday with a repair estimate before doing any work so I could decide whether or not it made more sense to just purchase a new microwave. The microwave was definitely difficult to remove from over the stove. However, he neglected to unhook it from one of the hooks on the support panel behind it, and ended up ripping the panel off of the wall (they did fix this when they reinstalled the microwave). My overall impression was that David was in a hurry and that I was keeping him from doing something else. He was in the house for less than 20 minutes. I didn't receive a call on Monday, and when I called on Tuesday he was busy and wasn't able to speak to me - and hadn't had an opportunity to look at it yet...and would call me the next day. By the end of the next day when I hadn't heard from them, I called and the woman who answered the phone told me that David had looked at it and it was just a blown fuse, so he had gone ahead and fixed it since it was an inexpensive part...however she did not know (nor could she find out at that moment) what the overall cost was. I should also mention that there seem to be two women who answer the phone. One is extremely pleasant, helpful and communicative, and the other one...is not. I always seemed to get the second one. At that point I told her that I would be unavailable (not answering my phone during the day) for the next two days (Thursday and Friday) but that they could come by to reinstall it at any time during those two days as someone would always be there. Somehow that message did not get communicated out, so since they could not get a hold of me, nothing happened and we had to wait until the following Tuesday for them to come out. The bill for this was $75 for each visit out to the house and $7.95 for the fuse = $157.95 I have to take responsibility for the fact that when I called and scheduled the appt I did not inquire about how much it would cost for them to come out and look at it. In the past when I used them it was $50 to come out and if a second trip was required, it was billed on an hourly basis (much cheaper). Since the work had already been done when I called for the second time (and the overall repair cost was "unknown"), I didn't pursue it since at that point it was a done deal. What really bothers me is that David should have taken the time while he was at my house to do a basic diagnostic test - remove the microwave cover/the housing and look at the fuse. I didn't realize how easy it is to check the fuse until afterwards when I looked it up on the internet. Frankly if I had known how easy it was, I would have done it myself. I really think if he hadn't been in such a darn hurry to leave, he might have done so...and not doing so cost me an extra $75. At Your Service used to be owned by an older gentleman, and has apparently changed hands since the last time I used it. David is now the owner. I am disappointed, unimpressed and frankly will be using a different appliance repair company in the future.

Technician arrived at appointed date and time. No nonsense attitude and right to work. The problem with a gap in the circuit board was very small and hard to spot (he had to point it out to me twice before I could see it). After he left we discovered that the touch pad control for setting the clock on the unit was not responding. It had been working prior to the repair work, and we notified the company. They made an appointment for the same technician to have a look. He did and fixed the problem. No charge ... very professional.

They could not figure out what was causing the problem until last week when Daniel came and put in a new part. Now my washer seems to work perfectly. I was kind of frustrated because they couldn’t tell me what the problem was after two visits and I started to worry that they weren’t familiar with my brand of washer. It is possible that they’ve never run into this particular problem with this type washer before. I haven’t received the bill yet and I’ll decide if I want to use them again after I see the size of the bill.

My Admiral Refrigerator was not cooling properly (both freezer and refrig on this old side-by-side were misbehaving). The strip between the freezer and refrig. sections where the door gaskets engaged was too hot to touch. Internet research and my subsequent investigation showed that the condenser fan was not running at all. I called and spoke to Harry (dispatcher). He all but verified my diagnosis, told me about their rates, asked me for a model number and promised to call me back with a parts cost estimate. When he returned my call a few minutes later, he told me that the original fan was not available any more, but that an aftermarket universal might be made to work and that he could dispatch a technician with several alternate fans to choose from. A fan is a fan, I thought, so I was pleased that I could make an appointment for the very next afternoon. The service technician, Jay, arrived right on time, cleaned out the fan housing and freed up the fan so it could spin again. (I was more than a little ashamed it was so dirty.) He also informed me that the configuration of this old Admiral made retrofitting with an aftermarket fan all but impossible. He fully informed me of symptoms I might expect if the compressor had been damaged by this incident (a very real possibility), pointed out the good signs (frost in just the right places) that lead him to believe we might have averted such damage, and wished me luck. He charged me for the service call ($50.00 in this case), plus his half hour of labor ($25.00) and suggested a maintenance schedule for me to clean out the unit myself. All in all a great outcome: Courteous, professional service; great communiciation; reasonable price and a perfectly working refrigerator! I will call them again without hesitation.

It's always stressful to have a major appliance break down. At Your Service Appliance Repair was a life saver. They were easy to deal with and delivered first-class service. I would have no reservations in recommending them to anyone with an appliance repair need. Also worth mentioning is their other business, at the same address, Glenwood Appliance, if you need parts for a do-it-yourself appliance repair. My husband was able to replace a switch on our stove vent with a part from their shop. The owner, David Schnelli, was extremely helpful in determing which part we needed. I also would like to mention Harry at the appointment desk. I appreciated his efficiency and friendliness.

Daniel arrived a few minutes early, got right to work and was finished fixing our fridge in no time at all. He did a great job explaining what he was fixing and gave great hints for troubleshooting in the future. I can't say enough nice things about At Your Service Appliance repair. They were exceptional from the initial phone call to a fixed fridge. After years of suffering though the delays and headaches associated with the repair service at Sears, I'm thrilled to have found At Your Service!!!

The repairman arrived promptly as promised. The diagnosis was complicated - involved dismantling the stove - but he found the problem, and the charge for his time was as estimated. Then he did a bit of research, obtained the necessary parts, and was back within five days to install what was needed. He fixed the oven and even the burners that had never worked all at the same time. We now have a perfect stove, virtually for the first time in 15 years. We couldn't be happier.

Daniel, the service tech, arrived within the service window given to us. The dryer and dryer vent are in a weird configuration (lots of twists and turns in the vent pipe). After taking the dryer apart and cleaning it our he determined that the vent pipe was the problem. He ended up going into the crawl space and taking the vent pipe apart to clean out what we think was 25 years of lint buildup. Daniel showed me how to take the dryer apart and put it back together in case I needed to fix it in the future. The dishwasher ended up being at least one bad control board. He told me the cost for parts and we decided not to have the repair made.
