They did an awful job. I would come home at noon and some of his workers would just be sitting around not doing anything. The quality of the job was not good. They got paint over my vinyl windows. They missed portions of trims. They splattered paint on my patio, on the concrete, and on my driveway. He had to come back numerous times to fix these issues. He got pretty irate. Basically, he told me that this job cost him way more than what is should have. It sounded like he was thinking it was my fault because his workers did this shoddy job. I would never recommend them to anyone. The cost was reasonable though.

I was very positive I would get a great end product after the initial conversation.  However, when work started, I stopped by on my lunch hour to check on the progress.  One of the employees wasn't doing much work, but complained of everything under the sun.    I arrived home on the day the job was to be completed and I noticed they hadn't caulked around the windows and garage door as agreed, hadn't finished painting the window trim on most windows and garage trim, there were numerous paint drips on the patio, front porch and driveway and even on one of my vehicles left in the driveway (away from the house).  They left paint around my new vinyl windows. They broke a motion light and had pulled wiring loose and not replaced it.  I picked up several paint globs in the yard and a lot of garbage that was left around.  They left cigarette butts on the ground and used my hose and didn't put it away and left the water on the first day.  I had them come back to take care of these items and they had missed part of the trim on the house and gutter.  They scraped most the paint off the concrete which left big white marks.  When Cory stopped by for payment he complained about having to come back to take care of these things and that the job should only have taken a day, but ended up taking longer and that he really lost money on my house.  In reality, if everything would have been done professionally, it would have been done in a timely fashion.  I painted the house the time before Ash Painting did it, and I did a much better job...granted it took me longer.

The work was sloppy and some things got painted the wrong colors in spite of a personal consultation and sticky notes identifying color on all surfaces.  The job was supposed to be completed while I was out of town but I came home to find they had barely even started the job.  They took shortcuts on everything like no primer even when it was needed and requested.  The owner never apologized or even tried to make it good with me.  Instead, he made excuses and even tried to blame me.  The paint on my bathroom cupboards began chipping within a couple of weeks because they didn't prepare the surface.  He and his crew were so unprofessional and of dubious character that I changed the locks on my house because I was uncomfortable with the fact that they had keys. We had used Ash several years ago and they did a good job but my husband was there overseeing things every day. If you can be there every minute while the Ash crew is there, you might get a decent job at a decent price but I wouldn't trust them on their own for one minute.  It's too bad because I like using small local businesses but can't recommend Ash anymore.

Contractor was prompt and crew was courteous, however work was substandard. Upon initial inspection of the finished job, while crew was still there, I found numerous missed areas. Within two to three days there were areas that showed flaking paint hanging down. Upon a closer inspection I saw the previous color showing through or entirely missed, mostly under the eaves. I found it hard to believe they applied two coats and still missed so much. They had also sprayed over new spider webs and wasp nests that were missed during the prep. There was some over spray on the foundation walls and on an old deck. They were prompt to return and fix it and seemed willing, but wanted me to point out every place that had deficiencies. If I didn't point out a specific spot, they would pass it up again. Two painters spent an extra two hours scraping and repainting. They still didn't get it all and I just plan on doing it myself with the extra paint they left.
