Square 1 Electric

The owner ended up coming out to our home on the weekend doing the job himself and we were very impressed & happy. This just goes to show the owner stands by his work by making sure his customers are happy with their work. I would not hesitate to use this company in the future for any and all electrical work needed.

Square 1 Electric has a slightly less "per hour" charge for the first hour than some others and charges in 1/4-hour increments thereafter. As my home is not far from the company, I was not charged travel time. As I was not sure whether we had one or two of the required ground wires, one of their electricians stopped by and verified that we indeed needed another wire. He left for some materials and returned right away and completed the work very quickly; much of the amount charged was for the required permit. He also noted some Code compliance issues on circuit breaker work done several years ago by a company that supposedly had a permit and an inspection done at the time. He suggested that we might want to correct those problems sometime in the future.I can't locate his business card (Sorry!), but he was pleasant and knowledgeable; he worked quickly and neatly.The office staff at Square 1 Electric is very friendly and helpful too.

Mitchell went over and above board with hunting down the correct parts, he did so very professionally and remaind postive until the job was complete. This require several trips on his part which he did and still remained within our budget Highest praise for Square 1 and Staff will call again for any electrical or plumbing needs

Overall we couldn't ask for a better service call.

He was pretty honest and straightforward. He told us how much it would cost if we wanted to upgrade. We didn’t really need it at that time but in case we needed we could go ahead and do it. They were on time.

This dude was awesome. He worked is a** off right away and got everything and more done than I wanted in my 2 hour Angie's list deal window. I felt bad I wasn't paying him more. Really great guy. I would absolutely call him again, and am in fact looking forward to the opportunity.

These are the guys you want for your plumbing!! I used an Angie's Deal to have several things done. The appointment was for 9:00am, but he was early. Instead of just ringing the doorbell, he was polite and called to see if it was convenient to start. Not being a morning person, I was not ready, but he made me very comfortable about waiting until I called back to let him know he could start.... not the least bit impatient. He was very efficient going about the work... and I really appreciated how cheerful he was. He (I wish I remembered his name!) was very competent... he knew right away what was making my kitchen faucet a trickle instead of the stream it was supposed to be. This was a very pleasant experience and I now have several things working that didn;t well before his visit. I am definitely going to make Square 1 where I do my plumbing business.

Everything went beautifully. He replaced two existing fans so it did effect some of the drywall. He was able to show me that one of the ducts wasn't properly connected the fan so we now know there's more work to do, but it was helpful to find out! The duct on the second floor was about the same way & he was able to connect it for us through the attic for a reasonable price considering the amount of work he did & the length of time he was here. He brought the systems back up to code as well! He was very pleasant, very professional, & even arrived early.

I called the company on a Monday morning at 8:30 AM. Within a few hours, the repairs were made on my rental home. I originally called Kurt, the owner, who was very responsive. An electrician visited the house and found two bad outlets and replaced them. I was charged for 1 hour of work ($95) and parts (also $95). I received a call from the company stating that the work was complete and was emailed an invoice. The company was very professional from my perspective and my tenant was happy.

I am glad to report that Square One was incredibly polite & quick to respond after delays that I caused! The electrical inspection by Mitch was thorough and he made several helpful suggestions. Thanks Square One!

I received a prompt reply to my first and second request. Unfortunately, family medical issues forced me to cancel the first two dates. I received no reply to my third follow-up email and voice messages. I am sure this is a simple administrative snafu & I look forward to finally scheduling the job.

We are in the process of moving to a new home and have projects for both our new and existing home. Jared was absolutely amazing! He came out on Tuesday 5/1 to relocate a lightswitch in our current home. He worked so fast and quickly - under an hour. Then the next day he came out to our new home to put in an electrical & HDMI outlet over our fireplace...I truly thought this would require opening up the entire wall to source the electrical...I was amazed that the damage to the wall was minimal and easily patched up. He also put in a new light in our dark hallway as well as converting 6 lights into recessed cans in one of our rooms. His work was great and he worked so quickly! I was in a bit of a time crunch because we had painters coming into the house the following day, Jared was able to rework his schedule to get the project done in time. I am forever grateful for his hardwork and flexibility - I should also mention Kurt was a great help too who also facilitated with reworking the schedule of his team that week to make sure Jared could come out and finish the job in time for me. I would highly recommend Square 1 Electric for your needs - I know I'll definitely keep them in mind for any future projects!Thank you!!

Mr. Kahl arrived on time and repaired the sink drain stopper and the pipe leak. It wasn't an easy job, and he worked in an awkward space to get things right. After he was done with the drain stopper, he asked if I needed anything else done. I told him about the two outside faucets and their drips. He was able to get the faucets apart and replaced the washers. I will call him in the future with any plumbing problems

Mitch did an amazing job. He responded immediately, and the work was done within a few days. He put me in touch with Jeff to install new bath tub inserts, and Jeff also did an amazing job. I would recommend either of these people to anyone I know. I was also pleased that they would phone and let me know when they would arrive, which made it so easy for me. I intend to use them again to do another job for me in the fall to do my upstairs bathroom.

It went very smoothly. The job was done in just over an hour and was a reasonable cost.

I have used this company before and have been pleased with their service. I needed new wiring installed for a kitchen range. Kurt came out to look at the job and give me an estimate for work. He had also recommended that I replace my electric panel at some point in the near future since it was old, many circuits were wiggly and could pose a fire hazard. I decided to go ahead and have that done during this visit too even though it was pretty expensive. His worker came on time and went to work. I needed to leave the house before he finished for the day and gave him lock-up instructions for the house. When I returned home after he had left, all the work had been done, I was pleased with the new electric panel, but surprised to find my house very messy. He did not clean up after the job--trash and sheet rock debris were all over, dust all over my furniture. I was not happy and ended up spending over an hour cleaning up and vaccuming. I called Kurt later to let him know what had happened. Apparently, his employee had locked himself out of the house before finishing the cleanup and didn't know what to do. It was an honest mistake which I understand, but I would have liked to have been notified what had happened--a voice message or even note on my door, rather than ignoring the situation. Kurt apologized and offered housecleaning services, which I did not need but I appreciated the offer. He offered to install some light fixtures for me instead, but after providing him the information I never heard back from him about it. He also arranged to have the county inspector come and for the sheetrock to be repaired. Everything went well with the exception of the clean-up situation and follow-through.

Arrived on time, went right to work, worked quickly, very polite, cleaned up.

He arrived early, did the job, and the cost was unbelievably low. He was wonderful.

Two excellent experiences. (1) Angie's List deal on ceiling fans: when the listed item was out of stock, they substituted a better model at no extra cost, AND did a temporary hook-up so that we could evaluate the sound level before installation . (2) Plumbing service call for leaking single-handle faucets. Mitch came well prepared, was very knowledgeable, and went to extra effort trying to coax old fixtures to keep working. We will definitely use this company again.

Jared came out the next day, discovered the source of the problem was a loose wire that had caused the fixture to short. He took the fixture down so that I could have it repaired and offered to return, free of charge, to reinstall it when I get it back.

Called early in the morning and scheduled an appointment for the same morning. Mitch came on time and quickly fixed the breaker. Since there was time remaining on the one hour service, call he checked my GFIs and fixed one that had been installed incorrectly. Also gave me advice on replacing a bathroom exhaust fan. Mitch was prompt, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Great company and I will definitely use them again, if needed.

Lack of communication and the apparent inexperience of the electrician to whom I spoke led to me to cancel the whole deal after over a month of trying to make it happen. Busy businesses are usually good ones... these guy may be a little too busy.

I'm stoked. I have a new electrician. Woohoo!
