Project turned out to be bigger than expected & we decided not to do it . No complaints about the company.

I purchased this "deal" for plumbing work and before I scheduled the work I was notified that they would not be able to perform the work. I'm somewhat unclear as to the reason, but something about the person that was to do the work had moved. They also informed Angie's List and I had to fill out forms to receive a refund which was promptly returned to me by Angie's List.

The experience was great. The tech was quick, explained what he was doing, and made sure everything was working properly. We have had no problems at all with the fan and would recommend them. Good work all around.

The electrical problem was solved in 15 minutes which meant a lower cost to me and earned my respect for the electrician's skill and integrity. Square 1 had an issue with timeliness in their scheduling and billing office. It took a couple of weeks to make the appointment. More weeks to receive the bill. After mailing my check for payment, they lost it for over a month before cashing it. That was awkward and caused unnecessary searches on my part and probably theirs.

Fantastic. Because I ended up wanting a different light than what was originally offered they worked with me until I got exactly what I wanted..

I purchased an Angie's list for $149 for a bathroom ceiling fan and installation. When I called to set up the appointment I voiced regret that I hadn't purchased two and the very friendly receptionist, said that was no problem and she ordered two to be installed. Wish I could remember the name of the guy that came out, because he couldn't have been friendlier or more efficient . This was over a year ago and both are still working great and the silence is so appreciated.

We live in an older house with gas heat and the duct work does not work that well. The bedroom is always cold. I was excited about the prospect of having an electric heat outlet added to fix this problem. However, our basement is finished and this work could not be completed without ripping out the finished ceiling, which would have greatly added to the cost. Disappointing. I had no trouble getting a refund of my bid deal purchase. I would consider square one in the future. They didn't do any work, but I had no complaints about the interaction.

i had never hired a contractor before. i had interviewed 3 other contractors prior to square 1, they were the last one that came to my home. kirk the owner explained everything to me in detail he spent extra time to make sure i understood all that was being outlined. i immediately had a good feeling about him, they were not the cheapest estimate i got during this process but the money could not have been better spent. the quality of work was exceptional, the professional hard working employees could not be out matched. i am now in the need of hiring other companies to do additional work to my home and they will all need to match the quality of work and employees i had when i hired square 1 electrical. i would recommend this company to anyone needing an electrical contractor.

Came out, and did the work required by the home inspector for the sale of our home. Electrician was very professional and was able to do the required work within the hour of labor we purchased. We had minimal other expenses, although we did have to pay for a small electrical permit. We were very happy with the work and will consider Square One again.

the electrician performed the work well, but because of the extra work I requested, he charged me more than what I thought was fair, after giving that feedback to the company, they quickly waived the extra charge. Because of that, I have an excellent overall rating for them, I will use them again in the future.

When they came out, they said it would cost much more than was allowed using the deal, so we didn't have them do the work.

I purchased a coupon through Angie's list for both a ultra-quiet bathroom exhaust fan and a cadet wall heater installations. Unfortunately, when the electrician arrived, he determined that he couldn't install either item due to inadequate depth in bathroom ceiling and complex wiring needs where cadet was to be placed. I called Angie's List and they refunded me the full price of the coupon.

Did not take the 2 hours alotted on the angies list coupon. Plumber said he could come back another time if I had something else I needed. I asked him about 2 other plumbing issues. Outside hosebib is very loud when water is turned on. I asked if there was someway to make it quieter. He said it was better to leave it as is. I also asked him to change the washers in the tub. they weren't leaking yet but I thought maybe being proactive in replacing the washers would be good. He said it was better to leave them as is until they actually needed to be changed. The tub faucets are very old and he was worried that messing with them unnecessarily could cause more problems. Very pleasant person. The plumbing he did fix was done well.

They came on time and did the work. They did a very clean job. They were very professional as well.

Went great. Fortunately these were easy fixes. He was honest about the problems with the pipes and a very nice person.

He arrived on time and replaced my old fan with a new, quieter, and stronger fan. Left the bathroom clean when he finished.

Couldn't be happier with the quality of service and kind, service oriented attitude. Many thanks.

I followed up on one the very interesting specials that Angies Lists often makes available. I actually made the purchase several months ago but had forgotten. Angies List had not forgotten. It was there waiting for me. I called Square One Electric. Set an appointment and a very professional electrician came to my home. In fact, so thoughtful that he called when he was going to be 10 minutes late. When he arrived we discussed some options on locations. We agreed and the work was completed in good order. I will call Square 1 again.

I don't have much to say other than the service was performed timely and the electrician was very professional and kind. Told him where I wanted the outlet and 15 minutes later it was in. We actually got to talking a bit and I distracted him from what he was doing, so when finished he left without first checking the outlet to make sure it worked (again, my fault for getting caught up in small talk). 5 minutes after he left he had returned realizing the same. Would very much recommend this service to my friends and family.

The electrician went through an outside wall and installed the new outlet directly opposite an indoor outlet. The work went without a hitch and was completed in about an hour. The electrician also cleaned up a small amount of debris created by the drilling.

We called after purchasing the Angie's List Big Deal. It was very easy to schedule an appointment with them, and they walked us through what we would need to do to prepare for the electrician. Upon arriving at our house, the electrician was ultra-professional, prompt, and cheerful. Everything went smoothly and we finally have an outlet in our backyard! We would definitely hire this firm again.

The job went great. The trench was dug and the electrical line was dropped in and wired within one day. I was very impressed at the speed a professionalism of the crew. Even though I have used them in the past they surpassed my expectations on this project and I will for sure use them in the future. I would highly recommend this company.

Installed a large 4 foot hanging entry way light. He installed a new junction box and didn't charge me extra. Very professional.
