"Let me start with Iâ m a paraplegic from a car wreck in 2001. Since that time Iâ ve hired Mr Ronald multiple projects to make my house more wheelchair accessible. Heâ s built ramps for me, widened doors, poor concrete ramps, barn doors, Sheetrock work, custom cabinets, and completely remodeled my bathroom. All done with the utmost attention to detail and craftsmanship. Heâ s never been late, busted my budget, or been anything less than the utmost professional. I would recommend him to anyone that needs work done. Well versed and knowledgeable."

"After a little difficulty with scheduling - it was near Christmas after all, we had an absolutely perfect experience with Justin and his company All Metro Carpet Cleaning.  We were able to schedule on our first choice and just prior to the appointment, Justin called and told me he was in Yukon and running late.  After confirming I was ok with the late arrival, he apologized and kept me updated.  Having dealt with numerous contractors in the OKC area, I was stunned that he called.  Too many of them have a carefree approach to time and are only concerned with timeliness when it comes time to be paid.
Justin arrived and went right to work. He and I moved the furniture that needed to be moved.  He told me one area would normally be an extra $75 since it was the staircase but offered to spot clean it for free and even went beyond strictly spot cleaning.  The living room and family room are heavily used and we have dogs.  He pretreated all areas including the stairs before unleashing a truly amazing beast of a carpet cleaner!  We've had other services clean these carpets with the usual wand and a lot of water, but he uses a rotary head cleaner that truly worked wonders on our 11 year old berber carpets and restored the pattern to a heavily worn family room carpet.
After the cleaning was complete, he deodorized the carpets with a warning that it will take a bit longer to dry.  As he was cleaning up he offered to show me the dirt removed from the carpets.  He opened the purge valve on his truck and water the color of chocolate milk spilled out!  For the past several months, my family has been suffering from allergy attacks.  That night all of us reported sleeping and breathing better - I'm sure due to the much cleaner carpets.
I was truly impressed with Justin as a business man and would highly recommend him and his service!  I can't say enough nice things and have already contacted him about cleaning some of our upholstered furniture!

"I’ve had 5 furniture items and one small rug cleaned today, and am very happy with the outcome. The items were very dusty after having flooring replaced recently and the change after cleaning is noticeable. The technician was very professional and amiable. I will use this company again when needed."

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

The time required to reupholster furniture depends on the item's size, complexity, and condition. The hands-on work can range from 2-3 hours for a simple dining chair to 10 to 20 hours for a large sofa. The total project timeline with a professional, including fabric sourcing and scheduling, typically ranges from one to three weeks.

Several factors can affect the timeline. Antique furniture often takes longer due to the delicate care required. If additional repairs are needed, such as sanding or refinishing wood components, the process will also take more time. A DIY reupholstery project will usually take significantly longer than a professional job.

It is generally worth repairing leather furniture rather than replacing it, as it is typically more affordable and the material tends to retain its value. A typical repair averages around $250, which is significantly less than the thousands of dollars a replacement could cost. Even a full reupholstering, which can cost up to $4,000, may still be more economical than buying new. With proper care, repaired leather furniture can last for many years, making the investment worthwhile. However, if the underlying structure or frame of the furniture is damaged or malfunctioning, replacement might be a better option. The quality of the leather and the furniture piece are also important factors. For a definitive answer, it is best to consult a leather repair professional to assess your specific situation.

Reupholstering is often worthwhile for high-quality, antique, or sentimental couches, especially if the frame is sturdy. It can cost less than buying a comparable new piece and allows for customization, but may not be cost-effective for low-end furniture.

Costs depend on fabric choice, furniture size, cushioning, and labor. For significant projects, expect estimates between $350 and $1,200.

Depending on the quality of the leather, this type of upholstery can last anywhere from 5 to 20 years. The more time you invest in the care and protection of the leather, the longer your leather furniture is likely to last.
