He did the mirror first (which I should have learned from) and tried to hang it on a small hook, which it tore out of our wall and almost shattered (damaged the bottom). We still have a mark in our wall from where it pulled out. He then was doing the Wine Cellar and Front Door projects together. I'll cover the wine cellar first. On the wine cellar, I provided very detailed architectural plans for how to layout the cellar and specific dimensions for the racks so that the bottles would fit. My brother is a commercial architect so had him review my take-off and he checked and tweaked so it was accurate. Chris provided a quote for me based on the drawing. Chris showed up on Day 1 to work on the cellar and struggled from the start. It was obvious he had never done anything on this scale. His attention to detail was pitiful and he laid out the racking incorrectly (too narrow so that bottles would not fit). After much discussion, he agreed that he hadn't followed the plans and guessed on a few dimensions. He adjusted the racking so that it would fit bottles, but then ended up being too wide so bottles would lay over on the sides. They were supposed to be stained wood and he simply painted them. While working on this he started working on our Stained Front Doors (custom-10' tall) that he was supposed to re-stain as they had faded over the years. He over-sanded them taking the original stain off and damaged both doors so it had to be filled with wood filler (never looked right). He didn't really know stains and had serious issues trying to get the stain to take. I went out of the country for work (with my wife overseeing the project). He couldn't get the stain to work, so he painted our front doors! My wife told him that she was not happy with either project, which had now take over 1.5 weeks to get to this point and we had closet with an unusable wine rack and a $7K custom front door that had been painted. My wife told him she was not happy with the project and he would need to make it right (especially the front door). He threatened her that she had better give him his money or he would not leave (which happened at night). She had to threaten to call the police to get him out of our house. I was not pleased remotely and forbid him to set foot on our property. I have no respect for someone who would threaten women. We have since filed against him with BBB, which upheld our claim. As a final note, we had our front stained this month (as the paint was falling off) and the person painting it asked us if we did it ourselves because it was done with indoor paint...shocker...he couldn't even get the paint right. We end up removing the wine rack and having it put in by a professional so at this point the damage is undone, but would never want someone to go through what we did with him.

It also was wobbly from the glue drying out in all the other joints. Mr. King took the chair and repaired it. Now it is sturdy and should last another 100 years. The only thing he did I wasn't happy with was he shelacked it as the wood was very brittle and needed resealed. The treadle sewing machine looks beautiful. The front piece I had was not big enough to cover the original opening and Mr. King embellished it to fit the hole. The dresser top was cracked and had water damage. He filled the crack, stripped the whole thing and refinished it in a blonde color. Mr. King had the furniture approx. 4 weeks. He picked it up and delivered it back to my home. It all looked beautiful when he returned it. I felt his prices were fair. He was very professional and a pleasure to work with.

We agreed to a contract that clearly spells out what he was to do. He was slow, often didn't show up for days at a time, spent more time talking than working, but was not on an hourly wage so I never said anything about it. He was personable and easy enough to get along with. He just did sloppy work and when I would ask it be corrected or done over, he would then get testy and blame everything and everyone to the point I just let a lot go in order to get the job done and figured I'd find some way to cover it up later. He was having problems personally, I think, because he showed up less and less and left his hand to do the rest of the drywalling. Although nice enough, this hand was not experienced enough to do that, was very slow, working alone of course, and most of what he did will have to be redone, will not meet code. When Joe came back an saw that, as well as the issues the code inspector had, he tried to blame it on whoever he could but did agree to fix it all. However he insisted that he wanted to see all the code issues in writing before he would do anything else. He never worked again and in response to my calls, just kept telling me he was waiting for the code inspector's report. He told me that he couldn't get him to furnish the report that had been promised and didn't want to do more until he had that and could follow it exactly, etc. so that he didn't have any more issues come up. Well, that day never came. I had just given him the last draw for 25K the day before the inspector came and cited these issues and Joe has not been back. I have never seen or heard anything from the inspector, only what Joe related which may or may not be completely true. There were numerous inspections prior during other work on the house and everything had always passed with no problem. All I was getting from that point on from Joe was excuses for the delay until he stopped returning my calls and emails completely. Finally, after 4 months, I just gave up calling him. I asked around and found out he is doing odd jobs, installations for Lowe's and such, so he is here in town. He just walked out on my job with my money and left me with something I can't live in or finish myself, so I will have to hire someone else now to do it all over again and am out all the money I've paid him. I could sue him, but I really can't afford to do that now. It would cost me legal fees that I'd have to pay up front. He has nothing, so there is nothing get back. He has spent all the money I gave him, I am sure. He lives from hand to mouth, rents his home, owns nothing but a couple of old vehicles. So it would cost me thousands more to get a judgment and then he'd just declare bankrtupcy and get it written off. No lawyer will take this on contingency because there is nothing there. He said had insurance but he doesn't. I should have asked to see the policy and I didn't. I am just out the money. I was too trusting, he seemed nice, honest and I trusted him. I can't undo that and have paid dearly for my error in judgment, but hopefully no one else will have to do that. He is not trustworthy, will lie to you, does not do a quality job, in fact won't even finish the job. I had heard some things to that effect when other clients had called him to complain while he was on the job here, or when he told me 'his side of the story' about previous clients. I was starting to see the picture but we were already in the contract and I couldn't do much but just hope he got this job somewhat right and completed. I would never use him again to change a light bulb, and I would strongly recommend you don't either. I am most willing to back this all up with documentation and will talk personally to anyone who would like further elaboration."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ok/enid/stengle-remodeling-reviews-6193684.htm"},"position":6},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"TWO BROTHERS ROOFING","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"OK","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"L K."},"reviewBody":"The job was completed in 3 days. It took 11 days to get the dumpster removed from my driveway and I finally had to call the dumpster company myself and get forceful with them to get it gone. What I learned was that he contracted the job out to some other people. I now have a hole in the side of my house that birds were starting to build a nest in and the roof leaks around the chimney on my patio. I called him twice about these problems. After the second call the people who installed the roof came out and caulked again around the chimney and claimed that they were not responsible for the hole. I know that the hole was not there before they started their work. They called Ron and left a message about the hole. Four days later I called him again. Every time I called him on his cell phone it would go straight to voice mail. He finally called and said that he had gone out and looked at the hole and installed a flashing over it to keep the birds out. I asked him about another smaller hole and he said he had not seen it. He also said that he caulked around the chimney again. He would be back to apply something else to the hole. To my knowledge he has never come back as he said he would. It still leaks around my chimney and it looks as if all he did to fix the hole was to apply duct tape over it. I have called him once again only to have to leave a message in his voice mail. He has not returned my call. I am now going to have to pay someone else to correct these problems, and that person said that there were a few places in my new roof that needed to have had the wood replaced because they were warped. I will have to live with it because it cannot be corrected without tearing the roof apart. So overall it has not been a very good experience and I would not recommend this company to anyone."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ok/enid/two-brothers-roofing-reviews-464297.htm"},"position":7}]}

"Stay away from this bunch !!! This group has done business as C1 Construction, CW Construction and other names with Charles "Chuck" Wynne being behind it. They contracted to build a new house and part way through decided to raise the price. When we said no Chuck walked off the job. Notice they're not an Angi certified pro? He's conned multiple people and has a date with the Oklahoma criminal court system. Something to be aware of with this and other contractors - You have to check what they actually have if they claim to be "Bonded and Insured". In Oklahoma that means they're insured for accidents by their employees and bonded to pay Oklahoma fines for building violations. It doesn't protect customers at all."

FAQs for patio cover service projects in Enid, OK
While the terms deck and porch are often used interchangeably, they are two distinct home features. Porches offer a roof that protects from the elements when coming and going from the house. Generally, porches are on the front of your home. On the other hand, decks are generally built in the backyard of a home and offer no roof or protection from the elements, like rain or snow. Porches typically require less maintenance and upkeep thanks to the roof, but both features require regular cleaning and repairs to maintain good condition.
The cost of an awning is $1,400 to $4,400 on average. However, this cost could be as low as $100 or as high as $7,500, depending on a few factors. The type of awning you choose, the size you need, and your location all affect your overall cost.
For example, portable awnings you can put up and take down yourself range from $100 to $400, whereas motorized awnings are more luxurious and cost between $2,000 and $3,500.
The cost to build a deck is $8,025 on average. However, this cost can range anywhere from $1,500 to $22,000, depending on multiple factors, such as size, materials, and deck type. You can expect to pay $30 to $60 per square foot when building a new deck.
Cedar decks are often the most cost-effective option, ranging from $4 to $9per square foot for materials. However, pressure-treated decking, which is resistant to rot, is more expensive, ranging from $15 to $25 per square foot for materials.
Awnings are either fixed or retractable and can be paired with a variety of cover materials. Fixed awnings are a permanent outdoor feature of a building. These are highly durable and require ongoing maintenance. Once installed, the position of this awning cannot be changed.
Retractable awnings are more popular than fixed awnings since the cover can open and close. This allows homeowners to open and close the awning, depending on the weather. When not in use, it can be closed to allow for extra space.
Besides the type of awning, you’ll need to choose the type of cover. Your awning installation professional will review your options with you, including availability and costs. The types of covers you can choose from include:
Wood, which is durable but can be damaged easily by rainwater and fire
Cotton offers flexibility, weatherproofing, and easy cleaning
Canvas is highly durable and is a good choice for retractable awnings
Metal is sturdy but is prone to rust
Polyester is easy to clean and is a more breathable option
Polycarbonate is highly resistant to UV rays and is difficult to damage
