"This company is very willing to follow instructions and work hard. They have other services that I have not used as yet, such as carpet cleaning and laundry services. They bring their own cleaning supplies, but use my vacuum. After they are finished , they do a walk through with me to check to see if I am satisfied with their work. I feel I get a good value for the money paid.

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

If you’ve had a prior bat infestation or simply want to avoid having bats invade your home in the first place, there are a few steps you can take without the need for a pro.

  • Seal entry points, such as where your chimney meets your house, or other gaps or holes exist.

  • Use bat deterrents like bright lights or ultrasonic devices to force them away from your home.

  • Reduce bat attractions like standing water and bird nectar feeders inviting bats into your yard.

No, mothballs do not keep bats away. Not only are mothballs completely ineffective when repelling or removing bats, but using them could be illegal, depending on where you live. Remember, bats are federally protected, and it's illegal to use chemicals during the removal process, and mothballs tend to fall into this category.

Bird and bat pest control involves assessing the site, installing deterrents, sealing entry points, and, in some cases, safely removing infestations following regulatory guidelines.

High-frequency bird repellent devices are effective at driving away birds, which is their intended purpose. However, these devices also tend to have unintended negative consequences. For example, if you or your neighbors own pets, the high-pitched noise emitted by these electronic devices will cause them distress and may even make them aggressive.

While not common, bird’s nests can cause problems to your property in some cases.

  • Block vents for your dryer, stove, and fans, creating a fire hazard

  • Clog gutters and drains, leading to roof and siding damage

  • Damage solar panels

  • Wiring issues if the nest is on or near a light fixture
