I hired him through Angi to replace my front window screen, and he so was honest in his evaluation of what could or couldn't be done. In my case, the window screen was bent & will have to be replaced by the manufacturer. He didn't try to sell me on something that wouldn't work. He therefore did not charge me, even though he had driven a long way to get here. This was a morning appointment and I had no cash on me, so he even turned down a tip!! I will hire him in the near future to paint my living room and for other projects as needed. My search for a great handyman is over!! "The company was horrible with communication, the customer had to constantly reach out, he only communicated via emails and took too long to reply. The job quality was poor and blamed the customer for communication. He will not complete the job properly. He went back to fix some things and the parts have already fallen out or broke down. The provider has blocked the customer even from email and she cannot reach out to them."

"Eric contacted me shortly after searching Angie's List. I described what I needed, a radon mitigation system, and he provided a written estimate via email. Much lower than what I expected. Eric was able to come out in a few days and install the system. Installation time was about 3 hours. No additional charges. He returned to the house three days later to retrieve the radon monitor and showed me the current reading of 1.0 pC/l, well below the 11.0 pC/l from a prior test. "I paid Mr. Phomalee $1275 to do some bathroom remodeling work that he'd initially stated he'd be able to begin between Christmas and New Years this past December. After not showing up at that time, he proceeded to promise that work would begin on eight separate dates, missing all of them. During this time I received no communication from Mr. Phomalee unless I initiated it, and when I did he made an excuse related to his vehicle or family each time. Finally, I informed Mr. Phomalee that I needed him to return the funds paid to him as it had become clear he had no intention of doing the work for which he had been contracted. He informed me at that time that his previous excuses had been lies, that he had used the money I'd paid him for gambling, and that he most recently had not been able to due the work because he'd been trying to secure a loan to cover "the bad checks [he] had written to gamble so [he] didn't go to jail". So, I'm now in a position where I've had an unusable shower for two months, and will be forced to seek legal action against Mr. Phomalee to attempt to recover my money."
