Description of Work: We've used Wright's Tree Service for several years, starting when our huge Chinese elm started showing signs of decline. Wright's began a program of insectides (soil-injected) and fertilization that improved the tree's health tremendously. They have also done pruning for us, and I have not always been completely happy with the results, but they have been good enough for us to continue using Wright's.

Description of Work: We used Wright Tree service 2 years in a row: 2010 and 2011. We had 2 river birches, 1 big maple (also cabled), 1 honey locust - all old ( 30 years), big trees never trimmed. They did an awesome job. All trees look much better and they all resisted the many storms we had in 2012 and 2011. If we hadn't trimmed them, we would have lost them, and/or even had major damage to the home. There is more upcoming work now, in 2013, some more trimming of 2 crabapples and probably replanting 2 false cypresses and an aborvitae- all of which fell victim to the harsh sun and winds of last summer (2012).Of course, we'll call them and add a fertilizing service for the 100 junipers we planted 5 years ago. They also grinded all the cuttings and cleaned up the yards very fast. There were 4-5 people.

Description of Work: Storm clean up after ice storm brought down huge limbs. They have also done work on all my trees, and I use their maintenance service every year for the last two years since I had some serious disease troubles on some trees. They are always very honest about what needs pruning and what can be left alone, and trees have been very healthy and disease free. After both Hurricane Ike and this recent ice storm, they were quick to clean up storm damage from the yard as well as prune out limbs that were cracked and about to fall to the ground. I Recommend them highly. Great people.

+ -1 moreMy phone call was promptly answered - by a "real" person (for the other services, there was just voice mail). Brian Wright came right out the next day to do an estimate. He answered questions that I had and was very knowledgeable. His price was competitive. He contacted us after he had not heard back from us in a week. Although we didn't engage him in this project, I would contact him for future work!

+ -1 moreExcellent work. Estimator was a certified arborist who was able to effectively diagnose problems with several trees and bushes and recommend the proper treatment. A three man crew arrived as scheduled. The team worked for a solid day to complete the trimming. A second team came a few weeks later after foliage was present on the sycamore tree to apply treatment to that as well as the spider mites. Both crews were highly skilled and professional in their work.
Description of Work: Cut down three large trees, trimmed dead wood from several others, cut back out of control honeysuckle bushes surrounding property, treated large sycamore tree for anthracnosis, trimmed several bushes and applied treatment for spider mites.

+ -1 moreRemoved without incident. No damage to either houses or power lines. Wright's has done work for me in the past and were referred to me by my neighbor. I probably could have gotten a slightly cheaper price, but for tricky things like this I would prefer to pay a little more and not have any damage to the property. I want someone that takes their time and isn't rushing off to the next job.
Description of Work: Had a large maple removed that had been damaged in a storm a few years ago. This was a tricky one in that it was close between my house and my neighbors, plus near the power lines.

AEP LATER REQUESTED THAT ONE TREE HAVE A LITTLE MORE ELECTRIC LINE CLEARANCE AND WRIGHT'S CAME BACK AND DID THE WORK FOR FREE. THEY CLEANED UP EVERYTHING, STACKED THE FIREWOOD, BARELY LEFT A TRACE. NEIGHBORS EVEN REMARKED HOW POLITE THEY WERE. THEY FOLLOWED UP WITH A PHONE CALL TO MAKE SURE WE WERE HAPPY.
Description of Work: TRIMMED SEVERAL TREES, CUT ONE TREE DOWN. FASTENED SUPPORT TO CANOPY OF ONE TREE TO PREVENT IT FROM SPLITTING IN HALF.
