Description of Work: I dealt with the owner of the company who came out to give me a second opinion on a structural problem in my basement. I had a prior inspection by an engineer from my HOA. He was very thorough and systematic. He understood the science and looked in every corner at every aspect of the situation. He answered all my questions and gave me recommendations about things to do. He agreed with the prior engineer that no repair was needed at that time. I trusted his opinion.

Description of Work: Provider evaluated a home for purchase and there were many incorrect citings in the report. There were errors regarding the structural makings of the house (cited plaster walls as drywall) and incorrectly stated the home was missing smoke alarms which were in place and functioning. It appears that he cuts and pastes his reports from previous ones and as a result includes erroneous information that can mislead a seller or buyer.

Description of Work: Ii asked them to assess the structural quality of the beams supporting my house to determine if we had any need to bolster that because we had some sign of settling. The engineer looked rather thoroughly in my basement and in the bathroom in which settling was perceptible. He reported that we had no more than normal settling and the structure seemed sound.

Description of Work: THIS COMPANY INSPECTED MY HOUSE BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. ONE OF THEIR ENGINEERS MISSED A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD IN MY GARAGE DOOR OPENER AND IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. THEY ARE TELLING ME IT WILL TAKE 2 WEEKS FOR THEM TO DECIDE WHAT TO DO. THEY MISSED IT ON THE INSPECTION AND IT SHOULD BE FIXED BY THEM. THE GENTLEMEN WAS RUDE TO ME ON THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED TODAY AND SAID THERE WASN''T ANYTHING THEY COULD DO FOR TWO WEEKS, WHICH I THINK IS RIDICULOUS SINCE THIS IS A FIRE HAZARD ACCORDING TO AN ELECTRICIAN I HAD AT THE HOUSE.
