Another highly rated Angie's List company did the work for approximately 65% of Molloy's quote.

After getting multiple estimates for gutter and downspout replacements we chose Molloys due to previous quality work.

I am very happy with how this turned out. They did a very good job.

It was a pleasure working with all the staff at Molloy Roofing. They were always accessible, responsive, professional, and customer oriented. The workers who actually performed the work, were outstanding. They were on time, worked hard the entire day to get it done, explained what was found/corrected and cleaned up as if they were never here! Great job! Congratulations, Molloy can be so proud of their company, its operations, staff, and quality. A gold standard!

Prior to the purchase of our home we had the seller "fix" some areas on the roof. A few months later we noticed a leak on our second floor. We had Ted from Molloy come out to clean the box gutters, patch, and inspect the roof. Where many service providers are content with criticizing or bashing someone elses work, probably what impressed me the most is that Ted backed up his analysis with a thorough explanation of how things should have been done. I also appreciated that he was very patient in answering my questions as I walked the roof with him. After Ted's visit, Kevin Schermbeck came out to the house at my request to do another walk through so we could get a better understanding of what items were immediate and what could remain on the "watch" list, as we were on a limited budget. At my request, Kevin happily split up the estimates so we could choose items independently based on priority and cost. Kevin was also very patient with my questions throughout the process and accommodating when we made a change request prior to start of the work. Everyone I met on the crew was very knowledgeable, professional, and polite. I could tell that Molloy takes care of their people. We would definitely do business with them again.

The workers showed up on the appointed day, and removed the device from the gutters. They identified some addl. work that could be done, and did it. They missed one of three downspouts, and when that was pointed out- they did that as well. To the best of my knowledge, I have no concern about the quality of the work done. Unfortunately, there were some problems. 1. I'd called them because they were on Angie's List, and offered a discount. When I got my bill (in the mail), I called to discover that the discount was limited to certain jobs, and for some reason- the work I had done was not among them. 2. I had initially asked for an approximiate cost- and was given only the trip cost charge; understandable, since no one knew at the outset the scope of the work to be done. 3. When the workers arrived, the job "snowballed," and there was never an estimate provided. The new work done was not hard (attaching a longer length to some downspouts- something I could have and would have done at minimal cost/effort. I didn't; they did and I'm willing to pay for it.. but not exorbinantly) 4. The workers simply left when they finished; when I called to question the cost of the job, I was told they'd spoken to me and my wife with they left. This is untrue, and I am displeased to have someone allege something happened that did not. 5. I learned the cost upon receiving my bill- $253.40 for about an hour's work... up and down a ladder, plus 3 downspout extensions. I never received an itemized bill, and so don't know if they did other things; there is no sign of that having happened. Ironically, Molloy Roofing enclosed only a brief total-cost invoice, plus a review form for me to fill out for Angie's List- which is what led to this note being posted; I don't normally provide comments such as these. 6. When I called asking for more information- the default response was "what did I think it was worth?" I don't know- I'm a pastor, not a gutter repairman. Concern was (understandably) expressed about a less-than-stellar rating given to Angie's List... and a $43.40 reduction was offered (and accepted); the person with whom I spoke was kind enough. For that, I am grateful- but still a bit dismayed at the total cost, the process from start to finish and the overall less-than-satisfactory experience. I've put the check in the mail. I'd urge future customers not to avoid this company based on anything I've said, but suggest that others insist on a better understanding of what needs to be done at the outset, a better understanding that I was given about the cost, and a detailed list of work done as part of the billing process. A careful reading of whatever advertisement might be used to solicit your business might prove helpful; if there is any reference to an Angie's List discount- best ask what that entails, and not assume that it covers any and all work they do. The employee was on time, did the work on the roof and reported his findings afterwards. Very respectful and professional.

I had used them on my previous house and was impressed with their company. I called them for an estimate for gutter work and leaf guards. They responded immediatley and was the lowest estimate again. They complted the work today . Their employees wree friendly and proffessional. They worked non stop until it was done. Great company !

They did a great job and explained in detail what the problem was with the gutter. He showed me the leaves and debri that clogged up the downspout.

Molloy was our second estimate on complete roof and gutter repair/replacement. They were very close in price to the first estimate, but we had heard very good things about the company. We tried replacing our downspouts first in order to repair some leaks (as several contractors told us that was all we needed). Even the first estimate which was for complete roof and gutter repair/replacement indicated no real problems with the roof -- but Molloy did a better job of pointing out the problems with the old roof and possible points that were leaking. They were very thorough. We hired them and they were out here about 10 weeks after we signed the contract as promised. They consistently showed up and completed each section of the job. They cleaned up after themselves. They did an outstanding job.

They did real well. I was quite satisfied with what they did.

Aside from a few weather delays they did exactly what they told us they were going to do. Nice job. Would recommend and use again.

I was very pleased with the quality of the work done, the promptness and courtesy of Scott, and fel the price was very reasonable. I would definitely use Malloy Roofing again, and will recommend them to others.

From the time I called to make the initial appointment until the roof repair was finished, the staff were polite, knowledgeable, and professional. I appreciated that whether it was the person scheduling the appointments or the gutter cleaners or roof repairmen, they readily answered all of my questions and explained each step of what they would do. They were on time, on cost estimate, and cleaned up after their work.

They were very accomodating on scheduling this small job. I called them to come and take care of it before the rain was forecast to start and they came the very next day.

The old one had several layers and some storm damage. Based on reports from my property manager, they were on time and did quality work removing the old roof and installing the new. Their price quote was very competitive.

They were able to fit me in sooner than originally planned, and called ahead just as promised. Estimator was knowledgeable and took his time. The estimate was detailed and carefully prepared. Their price was a bit high on this particular job but I would definitely use them in the future.

There have been no problems – they even came back out to check the roof after a storm that we had. They did that for no additional cost at all. Good experience.

He arrived when he showed, was very quick, pleasant, explained exactly what the problem was and it cost less than I thought it would be.

I called Molloy to take a look at my gutters. I suspected I needed to replace at least two of them. Jess came out, listened to my description of the "symptoms" and looked at the gutters I was worried about. He told me that what I was observing was nothing to be concerned about ... and explained that I didn't need any service at the pressent time. He could have easily sold me a few hundred dollars of unnecesssary repairs, but he took the ethical high road. I really appreciate that, especially in today's rocky economy! Jess is a great guy!

Very well. Site visit was done quickly, a thorough proposal was provided, work was done in time frame proposed. Work was well done and the two-person team was polite, helpful, and professional.

They came while I was at work and fixed the gutter. I think they did a good job. They sent me a bill which was reasonable.
