"The furnace took 4 days to get approved( not counting a Sunday) the others were quick but the water heater had to be ordered so without hot water for a week. One ceiling fan was easy but within a year their policy changed and They would not install the one I purchased and had to get a new one approved and then ordered online and took several weeks to get straightened out. Not sure who was at fault, AHS, installer or scheduling with renter. Fee is usually $75 per visit"
"Not your average project! I had previously had I-beams installed on 3 walls of the basement. The ceiling tiles had to come down and parts of the ceiling needed to be lowered. Complicated story but Charles came by and we agreed on a way to fix it. They were always on time and put in a lot of work. The ceiling got fixed and looks great. I had time they owed me on paying for the 40 hr. special so they also worked on my 1/2 bathroom in the basement. Painted, sticky tile on floor and new faucet. They took the time to remove the toilet and sink cabinet so they could lay the floor they way it should be done. Nice guys to work with and they made sure they cleaned up the mess. "

A typical fan installation takes between two and six hours. The exact timeframe can be influenced by factors such as the home's structure, existing electrical characteristics, ease of attic access, and whether complex wiring or additional attic ventilation work is required.
Hiring an electrician to install a new ceiling fan may be the best course of action. Installing a ceiling fan requires basic electrical and mechanical knowledge. It also requires holding it up with one hand and in an awkward position, making the installation even more difficult. If you’re uncomfortable with these circumstances, your best bet is to hire a professional.
Installing a ceiling fan where no wiring exists is a difficult and potentially dangerous job that should not be attempted as a DIY project. It is recommended to hire a certified electrician to build the necessary electrical infrastructure. In some areas, building codes require this work to be done by a professional to ensure safety and compliance. Due to the complexity, this type of installation is a significant job that could cost up to $2,000.
No, a ceiling fan doesn’t have to be wired to a switch, but it’s often more convenient. You can use the included pull chain if your ceiling isn’t too high or install a remote module later, as they are a cheap, easy-to-install option that’ll let you control both the fan and light fixture.
The more surface area that a ceiling fan blade has, the more effective it will be at producing airflow. Therefore, a longer ceiling fan blade is the better option if you’re looking for more wind. However, a longer blade will consume more energy than a shorter blade.
