"Sergiy and Nick from My Town Remodeling completed the following tasks: 1. Full renovation of basement 2. Full renovation of bathroom 3. New ceiling for another bathroom 4. Touchups in kitchen Here are the qualities that stand out for My Town Remodeling: 1. Honesty – Since these tasks involved various transactions with Home Depot and Lowes ranging from $10 to $1000. Sergiy ensured all receipts were properly documented and emailed every Friday. Further, all unused items were returned back to stores 2. Hard work – Sergiy and Nick work tireless to ensure the project was completed within the time agreed on the contract. In spite of lost days such as snow storm with no power, they ensured no day is lost by working extra hours, and in some cases with a flash-light 3. Respectful – Sergiy and Nick were very respectful and courteous throughout the process. They respected the feedback/comments provided, and implemented them right away 4. Craftsmanship – They showed excellent creativity in the design of the renovated bathroom. They provided various ideas and recommendations, and delivered an very good look renovated bathroom After this project, Sergiy was asked to execute two more projects, and he was recommended to our friends. "Pleasure to work with on recessed lighting install. Ken was responsive to questions and time changes via email/phone. We removed the old lighting, did some of the recessed lighting layout, and obtained the materials (he reviewed to make sure it was OK). His installation and electrical work was handled professionally and on schedule. Any adjustments were reviewed with me as a courtesy. We thought the price was fair for the work done. Nice job."

"We shopped and spoke with many "facade restoration experts" before choosing to work with High Tech and we are so glad we did our research. Shaiful was by far the most knowledgeable contractor we spoke with and made us feel confident that he was capable of solving our issues.  When it was clear that there was no saving our original cornice, he offered up more than one suitable way forward. We decide to let his crew re-create the original piece from stone. The work they did left us with a beautiful and artistic facade the functions well in collecting rain water from the roof. The crew was respectful, clean and on time. They went above and beyond all of our expectations in touching up every minor detail so that the whole front of the house was left looking brand new. We could not be happier. Our home looks better than we could have imagined. I recommend High Tech Construction with no hesitation.

Chandelier Installation FAQs, answered by experts

The process of installing a pendant light is actually quite simple. If you’ve ever learned how to install a light fixture of any kind, you’ll already know what to do. Pendant light installation consists of connecting wires from your home circuit to the fixture, securely installing it to a mounting bracket in the ceiling, and assembling the rest of the light—simple as that. If you’re not sure about installing your own lights, you can always get in touch with a local light installation company to lend a hand.

The housing for high-quality recessed lighting can last a lifetime. But how long the bulbs last depends on the type you choose. LED lights are the most common and tend to last the longest, often 30,000 to 40,000 hours. Compare that to incandescent bulbs, which only last for 1,000 hours or so.

Depending on your preference, a 100W bulb could be too bright for a bedroom. Most people prefer softer, relaxing bedroom lighting using a lower wattage bulb, around 40W to 60W for incandescent or the equivalent in LED (around 450 to 800 lumens). For adjustable brightness, consider using dimmable bulbs or layered lighting with bedside lamps and overhead lights to create a comfortable and versatile lighting environment.

LED lights are certainly more energy-efficient, using 75% less energy than incandescent bulbs—this can help you save on your utility bills during what is an already expensive holiday season. In addition, LED lights last much longer than incandescent bulbs, about 25% longer. That said, they are also a bit more expensive than incandescent Christmas lights, and emit a bluish hue which some people don't like, compared to the golden glow of an incandescent bulb.

No, there aren’t additional code requirements for kitchen lights. Kitchen lights and other electrical circuits in the kitchen have different code requirements. Outlets need to be particularly robust because of their frequency of use and proximity to liquids. If you need help determining where to install outlets in your kitchen, consult a local electrician who can ensure that placement is functional and up to code.
