We were very happy with Mister Sparky. They were very good, nice, and they cleaned up everything.

It was good. They were a pleasant team. They charge per job instead of by the hour. All in all, I think it would have cost about the same.

Their work turned out okay. They were very clean in their clean up. They were on time and professional. They gave a clear concise quote.

Their service was good. They were neat and clean. They came on time. They did what they were supposed to do. I was happy with their service.

Their prices are high, but their quality is excellent. Their responsiveness was very good. Their punctuality and professionalism was good too. They were excellent when we had a problem this year from what they had done. Their warranty was over, but they called me up and said that they were going to redo everything free of charge. Nobody can beat that. They are excellent. They had put an outside security light that was supposed to last for years. The workman said that he will call his boss and see what can be done because it was new and it was supposed to last for a long time. His boss told him to replace it completely without labor charge or anything. I asked him what would I do while he orders that because my driveway is very dark. They put up a temporary thing and I just thought that everything was very good. That was very nice of them.

We were happy with their professionalism compared to other electricians. Since having the work done I have become more savvy of a homeowner in terms of electrical wiring and discovered some further issues related to knob & tube wiring in my home. I ended up finding two very overloaded and troubled circuits that were fed off of knob & tube that their inspection never uncovered, so that was a little troubling. All in all they won't cheat you and they do good work, they're just expensive.

I read the reviews on Angie's list, and called Mister Sparky, thinking I was going to get another electrical company to respond.(the reviews I read on Angie's list about the other company were what prompted me to call). The woman that answered the phone told me she would get someone to me that day for an estimate on a 200 amp service upgrade. I received a call from the the person that was to give the estimate asking me for directions to my home. I gave them. When he arrived and looked over the job, he came up with an estimate that near floored me. It came to over $5,100.00, less some discount of $513.50. Bottom line $4,621.50. When I mentioned to him about what I read on Angie's list about a 200 amp upgrade that was done two years ago for $1800.00, he called his office and mentioned my comments to them. He got off the phone and told me someone would get back to me, but that they would probably only come down to $4,000.00. To date no one has called me back.

The electrician was prompt, completed the job, and gave me a decent quote. He spent a lot of time diagnosing the 3-way system before concluding that it cannot work unless a new 3 wire is run since there is a 3 wire in one location, but not in the other location. I appreciated his thoroughness although I ultimately decided not to have a new 3 wire run. The CS motion detector installation went smoothly. He was very professional.

The Mister Sparky technician came to look at the job and compile an estimate very soon on the same day I requested the estimate. He was dressed in a neat uniform and even donned booties to cover his shoes before he stepped into the house. He opened an outside outlet box and discovered that the outlet itself was corroded. He recommended that in addition to converting to GFI's, we should install weather-proof enclosures. Indoors, he opened one outlet to confirm that our house had grounded wiring. I was impressed with his professionalism. He was ready to do the job immediately. However, when it came to discussing costs, he worked from a price sheet with what seemed very high prices: $49 to replace each indoor outlet, $99 to install each GFI, plus $49 for each weatherproof enclosure. The total was over $700. Also, he said there was a charge for the estimate, $59, I believe. When I said that these charges seemed high for the work, and that there was no mention of a charge for an estimate either on the Mister Sparky web site or by the person who took my information by phone when I called for the estimate. The technician called the office and relayed my feelings. The person at the other end agreed to reduce the cost by not charging for one indoor outlet, and "throwing in" one of the weather proof outdoor enclosures. He also waived the estimate fee. The "discounted" total was $614. I thought this was still a high price, and decided to get other estimates. I also got an estimate from a local electrician for about 1/3 that amount! I hired him and he did the work for $250. It took only 1 hour and 20 minutes.

They were responsive. I got the job done and the UL certificate within a week. It was more expensive than I thought (the fixture was replaced, not installed) for a 1/2 job. But a fair share of the 400 + bill was a pass through for the UL inspection. I could not get an estimate over the phone so was pretty much committed to use them once I made the appointment. However, they were available on short notice, were punctual, professional, and did a good job. I would recommend them.

Covino Electric made sure everything was done 100% complete and even vacuumed up an area that was not worked on. They were kind, very respectful, and very neat. They assured me that the work was done to code and would pass inspection. To my surprise, even the electrical inspector complemented them and told me he refers work to them. They are a very well known company and have been in business for over 25 years. The owner (Anthony Covino) was a pleasure to work with. He answered every question that I had and took the time to explain all aspects of the job. I would use them again next time I need an electrician. I was also informed that they do Christmas lighting (which I may consider!) Thank you again Covino Electric!
