"Very happy with the service. Last July Charles and his sons did a great job designing the landscape in my front yard, cleaning out the weeds, laying down soil, rocks and mulch and planting beautiful trees. My neighbors commented my front yard never looked better in the past. Charles and his sons would come every month maintaining the landscaping (very cost effective) and this year they've returned to fertilize the plants and even plant flowers. As a result of the great work they've done they were asked to do landscaping work for a couple of my neighbors which speaks to the type of work they do. I would definitely recommend them for up-keeping your current front/back yards and redesigning your landscape."

"Our Loading Dock and Parking Lot was packed with snow which ultimately turned to ice. Unable to receive deliveries staff couldn't enter to park. I reached out to Angi online and i almost immediately was contacted by East Coast Creative Landscaping. Manuel came out to view the scope of the work quoted me a reasonable price and I received the written quote/Invoice, and Manuel was on site the very next morning. I must say how impressed i was with the quality of and professionalism of the work done by Manuel and his team. His friendly demeanor was the icing on the cake. I would Highly recommend this company. I will certainly be utilizing East Coast Creative for all of our landscaping/ snow removal needs and anyone reading this should consider utilizing this great small business also. KT CMMB"

"This company is excellent. Previously we were using a landscaper that was not taking care of our yard. When Mr. Villanueva came he saw right away what needed to be done to restore our yard. He is polite, considerate, and patient. He really understood our needs. He knew exactly what to do. Our yard from being a mess to beautiful. Our neighbors noticed the difference and have paid us many compliments. We are very happy and grateful we found this company."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

How much 4 yards of dirt will cover depends on how deep you want the soil to be. In general, a yard of dirt will cover 324 square feet for a 1-inch depth or 100 square feet for a 3-inch depth. Therefore, you can expect 4 yards to cover between 400 and 1,296 square feet if you keep your soil depth between 1 and 3 inches.

DIY home gardening can be relaxing, joyful, and cost-effective. From mowing your lawn to planting your own flower beds, there is a wide variety of gardening tasks that you can do yourself to make your yard look beautiful. If you’d rather spend your time not in the dirt, or if you’d like someone to take care of your plants for you, calling a professional gardening service is best. They can give you a workup of what services you’ll need and how often to schedule them.

Don’t worry if there’s a gap between cutting and planting an ideal branch. You can still cut the perfect branch when you see it. If you can’t get it in a pot or water right away, put it in a zip-top bag in the refrigerator. When you’re ready to finish the process, make a fresh cut.

Yes, weeds can still grow in decomposed granite. If properly compacted, it can act as a good weed suppressant, meaning you’ll only pull weeds occasionally. But no ground cover is completely weed-proof. To further prevent weeds, you can try spraying your decomposed granite with distilled white vinegar.

There are two main times of year to apply mulch: mid to late spring and late fall. Spreading mulch in mid to late spring helps protect new seedlings as the soil warms up. It's best to wait until temperatures are steady, as mulching too early in the spring can slow down the soil's warming process and hinder plant growth. Fall mulching is also beneficial, as it insulates the soil and helps regulate its temperature when the first frosts arrive.
