I did not have to tell him anything - he knew the best solution for each situation. Wonderful father and son team. Excellent value for the work done. I would use him again without question. I am fortunate to have found highly skilled team. They are clean, no swearing, you feel comfortable with them in your house.

Stephen arrived early and immediately got to work on the installation. He also cleaned up. One of my best installations.

We purchased this certificate because we had previously used this company and loved their work. They were great at accommodating our schedule, go with the flow when things did not go according to plan, and making sure we felt good about everything that was done. During install they noticed one of the fans we purchased was not going to work. They we able to move on to other rooms while we ran and exchanged the fan for one that would work. We had a few issues arise with our kids that took our attention while they were working but they were able to work with us and around us while we were in and out of the house. Once again they did excellent work. We had some minimal clean up after they left but otherwise everything came out better than we imagined and will use them again for future projects.

Everything went good, Steve"s son came to do the job . He was very quick and very nice. Would have them come out again if needed.

Steve replied to our message the same day and was out the next day to repair it. He was professional, courteous, and efficient. He gave me an estimate for the time he would be out the next day and even called me 1/2 hour before arriving so we could make sure to leave work and be at the house (no need to take a half or whole day off). He wore shoe protectors when he came into the house, he cleaned up any debris after he finished, he was observant of other potential issues he discovered while performing the repair, and he provided an immediate invoice for payment with complete explanation of the work performed. He even gave us a 1gb flash drive with his company info on it. We were extremely satisfied with his service and would definitely recommend him.

Steve and his son were prompt, courteous and professional. I was impressed at how quickly and efficiently the jobs were completed. I was also assured that any follow up concerns or questions would be welcome. The cost seemed fair but I didn't get any other quotes from other electricians. The only minor complaint I have is that several parts of the old fan were left for me to clean up and cart out to the garage. They were, however, all in one place and not scattered about.

Nichols called to let me know they were running a bit late due to other more involved jobs. Steve arrived, walked through the rooms for clarification of what was needed. He then started in the living room and got t work. I worked on some projects if he needed me he called. We did have a few general topic conversations, he is professional, knowledgeable, engaging and a polite young man. He moved through the rooms, did what he had to do, asked a few questions and when he was all wrapped up with the outlet replacement he looked at our Eden Pure Heater and made some suggestions. Once that was complete Steve provided me with a paid receipt and followed up with said receipt online.

Steve was able to fix the mistakes I made from a self install . ( The screws broke off when I attempted to install the pendants ) He was honest and did not charge for an outlet that only needed to be checked and no repair was required . He was on time and finished in a timely manor . The final price less than what was quoted. A pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend him. Very professional and courteous.

They were very responsive in reaching out to me regarding scheduling and my electrical needs. After speaking with the electrician, he advised that he does not do electrical work on homes that were built before 1950. He was polite and courteous over the phone and I appreciated his honesty.

Excellent! Steve came out to diagnose the problem on the same day I called. He gave me an estimate and explained my options. The electrician arrived very promptly the next day - Saturday! - and completed the job in about 2 hours. He was courteous and friendly, yet professional, and we were comfortable with him in the house. The estimate was spot on! We would (probably will!) use them again.

the job took approximately 4 - 5 hours. my panel box was updated and all the old lighting was taken out. new fluorescent lights were also put up in my basement.they cleaned up pretty well and the garbage was taken out when they finished.

It went beautifully. He was really a gem. I definitely would recommend him and I will use him again.

We had a short in one circuit. Our house is ~40 years old. Steve and Stephen came over and started troubleshooting right away. They started at the switches, outlets and fixtures, but weren't finding anything obvious. They identified between which outlets the short was occurring, and found a wire in the attic that had been damaged (whether during original installation, or some other time it's unknown). The wire had been sparking, was corroded, and the insulation was charred. They replaced the segment of wire and were done in less than 1.5 hours. I was happy with their response time, punctuality, and efficiency.

They worked quickly. Polite. A lot of left over dust, but I think this was unavoidable. Drywall not repaired but knew this would be the case upfront and they gave me a reference for a provider to complete. Love my new lighting in a previously very dim older home.

We have Time-Warner cable and internet service and have been having problems with the GFI breaker in the panel box tripping periodically. At the same time, the third Linksys PLW-400 Network Access Point does not function as that outlet is fed by a circuit from a different box and circuit breaker than the Powerline Transmitter Unit and the other two outlet access points. The third issue was to convert the outlet to 'always on', removing it from wall switch, so the access point would not turn off when we switched off the lights. Steve, owner of Nichols Electric first addressed the errant GFI Breaker. Checking it out (it properly reset when Steve checked it!), Steve recommended resetting it rather than replacing it. These breakers are notoriously 'fussy', and a costly repair ($50 + labor) might not be warranted at this time. I agreed to wait. It took awhile for Steve to troubleshoot the reason the plug-in Linksys access point wouldn't work. Eventually he decided to run a line from the outlet circuit to the circuit breaker powering the transmitter. This worked and high speed, wired through the house wiring, direct internet service was established with the TV in that room. He then rewired the outlet so the plug used for the access point device could not be turned off by the wall switch. As usual Steve and his son worked neatly and cleanly, leaving no mess. This is the fourth time Nichols Electric performed flawlessly for me. Bottom line - Steve accomplished exactly what I needed to get fast, wired internet service to my third TV.

After I purchased the Big Deal, the owner contacted me promptly to arrange for installation. I emailed him a couple of questions after that, and he responded very promptly. The electrician who completed the work arrived on time and was very professional and efficient. He unpacked and assembled the paddle fan, cut a hole in the ceiling and installed the bedroom fan and a wall switch to operate the fan. Everything works exactly right and looks great. He also installed the bathroom fan, and needed to cut a larger hole in the ceiling to accommodate it. That also looks great. I was very pleased with both services they performed and would definitely use them again and recommend them to others!

Steve and his son are a joy to work with. This is the third job that he has done for me and I will use him again. He is prompt and very professional. He and his son work at a pace that is remarkable to me. I purchased 8 hours of service and they accomplished all of the above tasks in that time (4 hours with 2 of them working). They provide advice and are very collaborative in making sure that work is performed to my satisfaction. They are models for how you wish all contractors would perform.
