I had a breaker that kept tripping, I could not find the short. they were here and gone in less than 30 min. Price may be a bit high but I'll tell you this......you get what you pay for. I will NEVER call anybody else

Tech replaced fan in main bath room had to crawl into attic a couple of times to make connections. A nice job was done on the installation and the unit looks great and preforms much better than original . The job didn't thake that long and the tech was neat and clean up after the job. For the price I would diffidently use this provider again.

Mr. Nichols was very professional. He was punctual, organized and efficient. We were very pleased with his work and we would definitely hire him again.

I am very disappointed with the results. The hole for the ceiling fan was too big and I need to seal it up so the cold air from the attic does not continue to flow in the house. When I went into the attic I saw that the fan was vented directly into the attic. Essentially they routed the hose near one of the attic vents but the pipe is not connected to anything so it relies on the rising vapors to continue the path out of the attic. The pipe itself was not secured to anything instead it was wedged into one of the trusses. I went online as well as talked to a few contractors and everyone said this is a poor approach as the steam and moisture that does not leave the attic will foster the growth of mold. They all said the best practice was to vent to the outside so this moisture does not stay in the attic. I sent an e-mail to Steve questioning this and he responded that this was fine and I should not worry. This is frustrating because I am not the expert. I went to hire an expert and need to rely on them to do the right thing. I am calling another contractor in to fix the work. I would NOT recommend this company to do this type of work at all. if the corners cut here are any indication of the other services provided, I cannot trust them for that either. The team showed up on time and was complete in an hour. They said to my wife that they had not done this before. I cannot determine if they meant the fan install or worked with this type of fan (humidity controlled). Either way, in my opinion, from the results they lacked the skills/expertise to perform the tasks of this activity

While I'm disappointed they no longer work on old houses, and I had to wait 3 weeks for the other electrician (apparently no one wants to work on old houses anymore), I really appreciated Steve calling me back during evening hours, instructing me how to disconnect my garage door so it could be operated manually (it was stuck open when the electric to the garage failed), and referring me to someone who could help. If you have a new house, I continue to recommend Steve Nichols.

I checked Angie's list and found a deal for $75.00 and took it. They called me later that day and set up an appointment. They gave me a date and a one hour window. They came within the window time and did the job. I couldn't be happier.

Steve has repaired wiring for us and installed outdoor lights in the past. He is efficient, knowledgable, and ethical. His prices are fair. He's the first one on our "electricians" list. This time he came on short notice to repair a do-it-yourself project that ended up revealing a wiring snafu in our older home. We were without power in a portion of the house over the weekend and were very glad that Steve made arrangements in his schedule to do the repair on Monday afternoon.

The service provided by Nichols Electric was excellent. They provided a two hour window for when they would arrive and they were on-time. They completed the job quickly, explained the detail of what they were going to do and answered all of my. The only small issue we had was that, when they showed up, their work order showed that they were going to install only one fan and they didn't have a second one with them. However, they corrected this issue immediately, obtained another fan and both fans were installed during their visit. Even with this small snag, the job was completed in less time than I had estimated. Once they were done, they returned any items that needed to be moved back to the original spots and cleaned up the work area. The fan/lights work very well and I am very satisfied.

It went okay. When I did all the switches because we had two prong switches and the plugs. So they changed them but they didn't change all of them like we asked and they left the screws all over the floor. They were kind of like in a hurry or something and they did it real fast and they left everything on the floor. I didn't like that but the box they did was fine. It took them time to get out here and once the guy was out here he was away and then he didn't do exactly the package that we had bought but he gave us a discount on what he did do because we added to it. But another thing that happened when they were there is something happened when they were doing the box that set a spark that put a hole in our water pipes. So we had to go and get a plumber and authority because water was going all over. It was a descent price because they had to do something outside too. There was something hanging and it was not very professional. They could have cleaned up their mess before they left and explained about that leakage. They workers were very nice and very friendly but they didn't even do the plugs that we asked them to. So they didn't finish the job because we still have plugs that don't work. They were supposed to come back and we were going to have switches changed in the basement because there are several different switches for all these different lights and my husband wanted like one switch as you go down the stairs instead of searching the basement for a switch in the dark but we never heard from them again.

Extremely professional, on time, and a job well done. Would definitely use this company again.

Stephen called to say he was running ahead of schedule and asked to come early, which was great for me. He was polite, professional and tidy. He also offered comments regarding my attic which were helpful. It was one of the hottest days of the summer today and Stephen worked quickly without complaint. He was in and out in less than 35 minutes. Great work! .

I called Nichols Electrical because I was pleased with their service in the past and currently needed an outdoor outlet repaired. My call was responded to quickly, and I was glad they were able to come in just a few days. The electrician arrived promptly, and we discussed the background of the problem, which may have been related to work that was done in the basement. He was very professional and focused. He checked the circuit box and the outlet and discovered a disconnected wire causing the problem. He took care of the problem in a timely manner, and we completed the paperwork Both times I used Nichols Electrical I have been very pleased with their quick response, quality of service, price, respectfulness, and professionalism, and I would highly recommend them to others who need electrical work done. I was also fortunate to be able to use a $25 coupon to reduce the expense.

I spoke to several electricians about the problem, and Steve was the most knowlegeable about the problem and practical about the solution. He arrived when scheduled, delived the quote quickly, and started and finished the work exactly as promised. When I expressed reservations about his son doing the work, just because his son is young and not yet licensed, Steve re-arranged his schedule in order to be here to do it together. I shouldn't have worried -- his son was extremely skilled and professional. This job was over a year ago and we've had no trouble with it in that time. They did a great job and I would definitely hire them again.

Steve came within two hours and put in a new outlet. The old one was fried because of a loose connection. I was very grateful that he made sure to come, even though it was the end of the day and I had never used his company before. The outlet was still hot when he got here and he explained that it can happen with a loose connection. But he was also very upfront when I asked if I should have all the outlets inspected because it is an older house and he said that was unnecessary. He was quick, professional and competent.

Steve came out right on time and repaired the pool switch. I was very impressed with his expertise. Very easy to deal with, and will keep him as my "go to guy" for electrical service.
