I am in my ninth year of employment as organist and music director at Calvary Lutheran Church in Hauppauge. Â Early in my tenure, Earl Thomas and his crew from Energize Cleaning Service were hired to clean the church on a weekly basis. Â Many outside groups use the church meeting space, which includes classrooms, bathrooms and a kitchen. Â By Saturday evening everything needs to be cleaned and freshened up for the arrival of Sunday morning worshippers. Â Energize Cleaning Service arrives early Sunday morning so that the floors can be swept and cleaned, tables wiped, chairs straightened, carpets vacuumed, indoor and outdoor trash receptacles emptied and the kitchen and bathrooms cleaned and stocked with paper supplies, etc. Â It is all accomplished efficiently and in time for the arrival of members of the congregation for the Sunday morning service. Â Earl Thomas is affable and very reliable. Â He does an excellent job, which I have been told is at a reasonable cost, an important consideration for a small church on a very tight budget. Â As someone who formerly administered a public library, along with a sizable custodial crew, I would have been happy to have had Earl and members of his crew in my facility.
