"In the evening of May 2, 2024, my wife and I met Samantha from Selena cleaning at a house we just purchased that had undergone an extensive remodeling. She walked through the house with us as we described what needed to be cleaned and how important it was that it was cleaned due to our medical conditions. We provided free & clear cleaning supplies. Samantha initially quoted us $800. We replied that we got a quote from Angi's for approximately $450. Samantha assured us that she knows what she's doing and would got the job done right. She lowered her quote to $650 if we agreed to pay in cash. We accepted her lower quote of $650 and planned for the cleaning to be done by Samantha and one of her assistants the next morning (May 3). When she arrived, they got to work in the finished basement. We had another professional also visiting to install a water filtration system in the basement. I observed some cleaning. They mopped the floors. I stayed in my car outside the house so that I wouldn’t be in their way. At the end of their job, they had mopped the main floor and called me over to take a look, advising that I shouldn’t walk through the house because it was just mopped. We stood in the sun room adjacent to the garage. I tested the ceiling fan and found that it was very dusty on top. Samantha then cleaned the top of the fan and took my cash payment of $650. We were staying at a nearby hotel while work was being done at the house. Our movers unloaded our truck the next day (May 4) and we checked out of the hotel on May 6. We were expecting to be able to unpack our belongings and move them right in, but there was still so much sawdust inside the bathroom and kitchen cabinets, on the exterior of appliances, and everywhere else. We vacuumed up a lot of sawdust from the floors. We took some pictures of some of the dirty areas we’ve had to clean up ourselves that we had paid Selena Cleaning Services to clean."
