They did a fabulous job and were totally professional. My apartment was cleaner after they left than when they got there. Both of my fixtures were hung quickly and correctly and they did beautiful work. The guys were really, really nice, and even hauled away the boxes. They were right on time. Best of all, Danny Marra was absolutely wonderful when dealing with my super (who was rude to Danny) and with my property manager. If you have a co-op or a condo, Marra Electric is for you. Of course, no matter where you live, you should hire them! I'll definitely hire them again, as soon as I find a new fixture for my living room! I can't say enough good things about them.

The crew of 2 actually showed up 30 minutes ahead of time. I was home all day so that was ok. They immediately set out to try to troubleshoot my issue which ended up being a bear. It became apparent over an hour or so that a variety of different previous electricians or homeowners in this 60 year old home had decided to bury junction boxes in non-standard locations using whatever technique suited them on that particular day. Marra went WAY out of their way (crawling through small cape cod spaces in a 140 degree mid-August attic) trying to NOT cut into sheetrock, but as it happened, they had no choice due to the location of the problem. The trouble spot ended up being a fried neutral connection in a junction box offset downward about 6 inches from an outlet. The bad box was actually behind a 2nd story baseboard heater and it was screwed to the bottom of the floor joist, no less. It looked like the answer to "how jacked-up of a situation can one possibly create?" Marra Electric completely removed and rebuilt a legal and safe circuit, removing the bogus junction box altogether. Some sheetrock ( a couple square feet) had to be sacrificed in the process. But to me, a safe long-term solution is worth a little tape, mud, and paint. In addition, they determined that the power company was only delivering 105 volts on one of the two feeds to my CB panel. Marra Electric called PSEG for me to force a quicker response; and to their credit, PSEG responded quickly and a truck was at my power pole within an hour (what???). Finally, I had originally called to have two other fixtures replaced. They took care of that too. All messes were vacuumed and cleaned up. I asked for and received an itemized bill and was entirely happy with the overall cost. I feel like I went back 30 years in time where customers and customer service actually meant something to a company. I will definitely use these guys again and refer them to others.

I found Marra Electric on Angie's list, and called them a couple of days ago. I spoke to the owner that evening - he put me at ease right away and gave me a fair price based on my description. Kevin and Tony showed up today, and did a terrific job - answering my many questions while continuing to be professional, courteous, and funny as well throughout the whole job. I would definitely use Marra Electric again, and would recommend them to anyone.

Kevin and AJ arrived promptly and after looking at job began to work right away. Kevin explained how jobs would be performed and the movement in and out of house and noise level associated with jobs. Drop cloths were used and any debris removed from house. During the time they were in the house they were always courteous, friendly and professional. They answered any questions I had while they continued to work. Danny (owner) and Tony joined them for the last project of labeling my panels. The work took 3 1/2 hours to complete. I am very happy with their work and the staff. In fact right after they left, I telephoned a relative to recommend Marra Electric to her for some electrical work she needs done!!!!

Our light switch had been part of a job Dan had done, but it was giving us some trouble. Dan agreed to come the next day. His workers found the source of the problem and fixed it. They were punctual, courteous and friendly. They left everything all cleaned up. and they did not charge us for the work! Such honesty and good work ethic are hard to find these days! What a great company. We will always call Marra Electric for all our electrical needs. We recommend them very highly!

Very happy with the installation. Crew was professional. The job was up to my expectations. Large ball light fixture with chain was relocated over a staircase and in the middle of the room a new pool table light fixture was installed (prior to the arrival of the actual table). I am already planning my next project with Marra Electric. Will definitely use them in the future.

The owner, Dan, responded to my inquiring email within a couple of hours. He agreed to do the job. I asked for an estimate. He gave me his number to call. I spoke with him ~ he was very polite and friendly. He gave me an price over the phone and assured me that the work would not cost more than that. i set up an appointment. Dan's workers, Kevin and Dan, came promptly. They were prepared and started working right away. They had all the right tools ready. They were very friendly and polite. They did all the work very efficiently, and tested everything to make sure it worked right. They asked where I wanted all the packaging to be put out. They cleaned everything up, and put everything back. The charge for the work was exactly what Dan had told me it would be. Marra Electric will now be our "go-to" electricians. I recommended them very highly.

Mr. Marra and his associate showed up on time and went right to work. The job went very smoothly and they were very professional and very, very neat.

Daniel and his crew were fantastic! He has done work for me on three occasions and in each instance the cost was reasonable and the work was quality. He recently installed six recessed lights with dimmable switches in two rooms, a ceiling fan, and a new line for a refrigerator. The cost was $1,200. I would use his services again and I would recommend him to my friends and family without reservation.

They were quick and very pleasant to deal with. They explained everything they were doing and why. Very pleased.

Marra Electric sent 2 gentlemen to my home to install a ceiling fan in my great room. They arrived on time and presented themselves as very professional and friendly. They worked Clean Even though the fan was to be installed on a 15 ft height ceiling, they expressed No Problem to installing the fan. All went Very Well and I will definitely use Marra Electric services in the near future.

Yesterday the upper floor of my home suddenly lost power entirely in two rooms and some outlets were out in a third room. Despite the fact that today was Christmas Eve Mr. Marra came first thing this morning and was 15 min early. Mr. Marra sought out and found out where the short was by locating the problem in a hall outlet. He replaced the wiring and the receptacle. In addition, he also fixed another outlet that had not worked for months by going into the attic and tracing the source of the problem. Mr. Marra is the consummate professional, an ace electrician and an honest man. Yesterday I was so afraid I would be unable to get an electrician to come on Christmas Eve and was also afraid of what I would be charged as the job required an electrical sleuth. Mr. Marra was my Christmas miracle. I am confidently and most highly recommending Mr. Marra to my own family, friends and Angies List members.

I had an excellent experience with Marra Electric. From Dan coming and giving us a fair estimate to Kevin and Chris installing all of our lights, everything was great. They explained everything they were going to do, gave good advice on future projects and went out of their way not to open a hole in the wall when it seemed necessary. I would recommend them to anyone and will use them again without hesitation on my future projects.

The entire job went smooth and was faster than I expected. The gentlemen were very professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating to my questions.

Dan Marra is simply fantastic. We called 8:30 on a Saturday morning when we lost power. He called back within half an hour and apologized that he couldn't get back us to sooner! After asking us a few questions to ascertain the problem, he said he could be there around noon [he was over an hour away and at another job]. He showed up at 11:45, went right to work, diagnosed and fixed the problem and then proceeded to fix a number of other issues we had, including some problems with exterior lighting. He was pleasant and helpful and worked very quickly and efficiently. For all of that, he charged us $125 for a service call. We decided to have him back to fix a larger issue with exterior lighting for which some digging might be required. We scheduled an appt. He showed up right on a time with a helper. Before they were to start digging, Dan did a few trial and error tests and managed to fix that problem too, no digging required after all. So we had them diagnose and fix a few more things for us. some of which Dan told us we could do ourselves, and told us what to get and how to do it. Dan and his helper were there for over an hour, and again, all he charged us for was a service call. I can't say enough good things about Dan. He's a super electricians and a great guy to work with.

Both of my son's rooms had lost power and they restored the light. I had no issues. They were good. He was on time.

THIS is the company for your electrical work! Dan answered my call on Sunday evening and showed up, as scheduled, Monday afternoon. He found the problem immediately and traced the source of another issue (unrelated) he found - just because he was being so thorough. I thought the problem might have been unknowingly caused by one of his workers the last time they were here on a project, but that may very well NOT have been the case. Dan showed me what to do if the issue reoccurs. He is the consummate professional and I recommend his company without reservation.

He arrived on time at 9:00 A.M. We moved here within this year to an older home with many problems. Our chandelier stopped working at all, which was installed by a "handyman", and many outside outlets were not working as well as our porch light had also not been working, as with the lights in our formal living room. The problem with our chandelier was fixed quickly; apparently our "family fix it person did not have a clue. We also had an outside porch light which was not working because it had never been hooked up. Again, this was another quick fix for him. He found our lights in the formal living room was wireless; he was the only person to understand the problem!! I was concerned after many hours of his work and patience; however, all was fixed, dimmer switches installed and all for $315.00!!! Thank you Angies List...you have always found wonderful vendors for us!!!! This company is amazing!!!

We called to get an estimate on installing a spot light in the back yard, They came hours later to take a look and give us an estimate. The following week, two electricians came to preform the job, Everything went as planned, They arrived right on time and were very professional. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician.

Excellent service! Dan Marra was very accommodating around my schedule to come by for an estimate. The guys were able to come on a Saturday morning, which is sometimes hard to get. Kevin and Chris were on time and very professional. Kevin showed me how to operate the generator and how to connect it to the outlet, in case I ever need to use it. He was very knowledgeable and walked me through everything step by step. The guys were very neat and Chris was very thorough when cleaning up the garage after drilling, etc. Very good guys - I would highly recommend!

Daniel came over and provided me with an estimate that I was very happy with. We scheduled a date for the work to be done and the crew arrived when they were supposed to. The guys worked their butts off and did a very neat job. They made sure that my garage was spotless before they left. The guys were extremely nice and professional. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Marra Electric to anyone looking to have electrical work done.

I called this morning because 3 lights did not turn on. The electrician arrived within a few hours and it turned out that all 3 lightbulbs were dead! How embarrassing! The electrician put new lightbulbs in for me and did not charge me ANYTHING for the service call. This company redefines the word "customer service". I have never been treated so well by anyone, ever! I highly recommend this company.

It went very well, unfortunately, I purchased the wrong motion detector, I was not getting enough light on side of house, called Dan Marra, was very obliging, came to house to see what my problem was, he said I needed a larger motion detector, adjusted the detector that Kevin put up (Kevin did a very good job, ) Dan advised me if the adjustment did not work, he would recommend a larger light and would come back and make the exchange for me. I could not be more happy, because it is very difficult to find Honest, trust worthy and efficient work in these days. If you are looking for reliance and prompt response, Marra Electric is the company to call without hesitation because they certainly try to oblige you.

Dealing with Marra Electric was a great experience. I dealt with Dan from the very beginning and he was helpful with coming up with the best solution to get electric out to the front of my house. Their prices were very competetive and we agreed upon a date for the project to get done. Dan arrived on the agreed upon day with 3 other workers. They were all very friendly, professional and did an excellent job. They worked very clean and ensured everything was done the right way.
