Putnam Flooring is run by Shawn Putnam who has been installing floors for over 25 years. He learned the trade as a union apprentice on the West Coast doing large commercial projects including intricate carpet work for casinos in the 1990's. After over two decades working in the flooring industry, Shawn decided to branch out and start his own flooring company.
Putnam Flooring provides installation services for residential and small commercial jobs. Putnam Flooring employs installers that are skilled in the installation of hardwood flooring, ceramic tile, laminate, vinyl and carpet. He totally blew us off. Our house has been torn up for weeks now. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN.
Description of Work
We contracted with Shawn Putnam of Putnam Flooring weeks in advance to replace our ceramic tile flooring with porcelain tile in our kitchen, half bath, laundry room, foyer, coat closet, and 2 small hallways. We communicated with him several times regarding the particulars of the job. He was scheduled to begin work on Monday, July 24, 2017 We removed all appliances, doors, molding, sink and toilet in preparation for the work. My husband took the week off from work. He never showed up or called on the start date. After we left several voicemails and texts he called late the following day to say he had had an emergency and hadn't looked at his phone in 3 days. He said he was sleep deprived and couldn't do the job, but would try to find another contractor to honor his contract with us. WHAT???? We haven't heard from him since and recently contracted with another company to do the work. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN.
