Jason C. was professional,timely and even cleaned up after the job. Overall, we were very pleased with the outcome and would definitely call this company again for any of our electrical needs.

He was excellent. They're really efficient, they got the work done quickly and very nice to deal with.

First they called at the exact time they promised to call. Then Jason arrived at the exact time I was told he would even though there was a snowstorm and the streets were slippery. He said that it took him an hour and a half to go the distance it normally takes 45 minutes. After I told Jason what I would like to have done, he gave me a written estimate and a choice of procedures and outcomes for the work requested at the same price. Jason was very courteous always coming to me if he needed me for something and not shouting out my name. A little over midway the job, Jason told me that he would be joined by a colleague, Dave, to help him who happened to be in the area. Together, the work was done even faster than the quick pace Jason had established. When the job was finished, Jason showed me his work. Most impressive was some plaster patching he had done around the new outlet when he had drilled the opening for it. My old electrician did no patch work and would put outlet covers over any mistakes he made. While preparing my bill, Jason told me that I could use my Angie's List coupon, which I was not aware existed, so that I could get the entitled discount. Needless to say,I appreciated that. Before they said goodbye, I asked Dave and Jason about some new light bulbs I had bought and they gave me a quick lesson on how to choose the right kind for my needs. Jason, without being asked, then graciously installed a bulb that had been hard for me to reach. These men were the professionals I had hoped they would be. They were prompt, intelligent, skilled, clean and possessed a good sense of humor. Mel Carr are my new electricians.

Dave arrived as scheduled. He fully explained the obtions he had to complete the job including best case (least expensive) scenario and worst case scenario. After assessing the situation Dave concluded he only had to reroute the wiring to the new location (the least expensive obtion saving me about $130. Dave also let me know as an Angie List member I could recieve a $25 discount. Dave made what I thought was going to be a difficult job (at least for me) a very simple task. Dave was in and out of my home job completed in a half hour. Very pleased although $157 for a half hour work (all labor) may seem a bit steep but the service was worth every penny.

So professional, polite and thorough. I will always use them! I trust them completely!

I have used Mel Carr in the past - they installed a new electrical service in a house I previously owned and did an exceptional job. So when I purchased my new house, I knew exactly who I could call to help me with some electrical issues. Dan A had come to my house maybe a few weeks prior to review my electrical system with me?.I have a long list of things that need to be fixed! But in April, I had him come out and perform some of the work previously discussed. Dan A was very professional and prompt. He cleaned up a bunch of random wiring in my garage, disconnected some scary wires, and installed a new outlet. He removed a wire to old exterior lighting (that didn't even exist anymore) and sealed up the hole. He finished just when he thought he was going to and I feel like he really went above and beyond to answer all of my questions. Hoping to have him back for some more work soon (although I wish they sold Generac brand generators!).

As you can imagine, with a house full of people arriving the next day for dinner, the reality of a hole in my dining room ceiling with no lighting was almost too much to bear! Rob went to Wolberg electric, and took many pictures of the lighting they had available in the show room. He TEXTED ME EACH PICTURE!! I was able to pick out a beautiful chandelier without even leaving the house! Within a couple of hours, Rob himself and a team of highly skilled electricians worked to put this intricate piece of lighting art together, while I continued to cook and get ready for our Thanksgiving dinner. The lighting was the best part of the dinner, and will always remain a great reminder that there are still some people and businesses who still really care! I have never experienced such professionalism and pride in a job well done. Mel Carr Electric is the BEST!!

This is the first time I used this Company and they are very good. I called and they did the work the same day which surprised me, when most companies have you schedule an appointment in advance, and have you wait. Not these guys, they did the work that day and did not consider it an emergency call or any of that. They sent over Jason C., he was professional and polite, he came to my home without even tell him he put on booties(Shoe coverings) which most electrician don't even do when they come over, he did. He ask me exactly what needed to be done and he gave me a Free Estimate quote on a short in my Bathroom Exhaust Fan Light and performed the job excellent and cleaned up behind himself. On top of all this his company honored my Military Status by giving me a military discount of 10% on the job and also giving me $25.00 off the jobs because, I am a Angie's List member and had one of their Coupon as well. This made the price really reasonable for me, and the work was done professional and corrected it is well worth the money. I recommend this company to everyone and I give them a 10 Star Rating out of a 10 Star rating. Thank You Guys for a job well done!!

I appreciate the fact that they put disposable boots on to protect my floors. They were courteous, efficient, and timely.

Work on the project went well. Dave B. the technician, was prompt, very thorough and professional during the entire project. Kudos to the entire Mel Carr team in making this project a priority item, given the nature of the work, and contacting National Grid etc. etc. I have used this company once before, and would use them again if electrical work is needed in the future. Keep up the good work!

I called Mel Carr Electric and spoke to a very knowledgeable representative. I told him 3 of 6 lights on our dining room chandelier were not working. He described a few scenarios of what could be the problem. We agreed on a mutually convenient appointment time. Dan A. arrived on time after calling and saying he would be there in 10 minutes. He got to work right away and diagnosed the problem. The chandelier needed a new part for each of the light sockets. Dan called and ordered the parts. While waiting for the parts, he prepared the sockets for the part and tightened up screws and wires in the sockets. After the new parts arrived, Dan installed them, and cleaned up. All six lights worked! It should be noted, that Dan and Mr. Carr, who delivered the parts, both wore "booties" on their shoes while in the house.

Jason C came here from Carr Electric and diagnosed the problem, went to the circuit box in the basement and then to an outlet near the stove, figured out what the problem was and repaired it. Very pleasant person who knew what he was doing, wasted no time but was cordial and just got the job done. If I had a problem or need for electrical work in the future I would not hesitate to use them again and will recommend them to my neighbors.

II called Mel Carr on Tuesday and asked for a service call that day to correct a wall outlet that I had installed myself. They had Jason C. arrive at my home at about 2:00 P.M. which was the time agreed upon. Jason looked the situation over, gave me an estimate of the cost for the work, which was reasonable. Jason performed the work in a professional and timely manner and left the area better than when he arrived. I also requested a quote for future work to be done and was quite happy with the cost, I will be using Mel Carr for all my electrical work from now on

Response was very prompt; service was thorough and performed well. I'm happy that they didn't deem my job to be "too small."

Mel Carr was very accommodating with my work schedule and allowed me to be the first appointment of the day. Dan was great! He worked here 3 times. Each time, he was punctual and very professional. If he made a mess, he cleaned it up. When we ran into problems with the ceiling fan due to a defective part, he told me what part I needed. While he was here, he worked really hard and made sure that I was happy before he left.

I had lost power in my garage, I called Mel Car and they were able to come out, assess the situation and get the electric in the garage back up and running. I had called a handful of other electricians prior to calling them and no one was really ever able to figure out what the issue was. I was very pleased with the service and will always call them first!

The pressure washer issue seemed to be one that had to do with the washer rather than anything that Dan could fix --the outlet and breaker were working fine. He fixed the laundry area/storage room problem, and all outlets and lights were working when he finished. I was very impressed by how carefully he explained everthing he was doing, including how I would be charged for the work.

Jason was efficient, professional and explained what he was doing during the whole process. I was having trouble with electric switches in three separate rooms, and Jason ably determined the source of the faulty wiring, and properly connected the wires in a short period of time. Called on a Friday & they came on Monday. Dan called prior to arriving & was punctual. He greeted me at the door and introduced himself. Asked about the problem. He proceded to the basement to check the circuit. He found that the transformer was defective. He then quoted me a price, which I accepted, and proceded to perform the work.He had the work done & bell functioning in a very short time. He also noted to me that the panel box was one that had lost it's UL rating & why. He gave me a quote on replacing the box & explained what he would do. He was very informative, polite & complete with his information. He gave me the bill and it was what he had quoted. I am very pleased with Mel Carr Electric Corp & its employees. Would not hesitate to use them again or refer them.

They were a little late, but worth waiting for. My father has always done his own repairs. He is 81 now and ill yet turning over that job is not easy. Jason was so patient and kind to him. He listened and explained everything he was doing. He made my father feel he was part of the process which was very important. It is so nice to find a company that has employees that care. Will definitely use this company again if we have any other problems.

Everything was fine. I called them and they responded quickly arrived the following day to give me an estimate. He arrived on time and finished up within 4 hours and I was satisfied with his thorough clean up.

He was on time, explained what he saw, left nothing open to chance (i.e. was the wire live, where did it come from, what did it go to) and even plugged a whole in the wall after removing the wire. I was very happy and will call them again. I do wish I had known about the Angie's list coupon though!

We had assorted electrical work to be done and they were able to handle it all. We wanted to be able to light our backyard at night without disturbing the neighbors and spending a fortune. They helped us understand the different options we had (halogen, LED, motion-sensing) and they were able to install it without any wires poking out. They also installed an external outlet which will come in very handy this summer and fall. We had various issues with our two doorbells and an external light. They diagnosed the issues and fixed them quickly. Rather than trying to get in and out as fast as possible, I feel like they listened to our needs and really did quality work.
