Shamrock Home Inspection

John was very insightful, thorough, and professional while inspecting a resale home I'm currently in escrow with. This is my first home and naturally I'm not very knowledgeable on all the aspects of buying a home. John was incredibly helpful in walking me through the process and what to keep an eye on while living in the home. I would highly recommend John to anyone looking to have their home inspected.

Prior to the inspection, I did caution the inspector that I have had a couple of bad inspections done. This was a 5bedroom 3bath built 2007. The master bathroom was draining super slowly and it wasn't caught. Another bathroom had the toilet tank continually leaking into the toilet bowl that was also missed. The blinds and window screeners were also in bad shapes in 3 bedrooms. I could have had the seller fix all this before I bought the property. Very unhappy!!

John was quick in response, was quick with pricing and flexible to work with our schedule, as we had to fly in for the inspection. John spent time to explain and educate us and was a pleasure to work with. I picked Shanrock based on previous recommendations as I currently live over 1500 miles away from our new home in the desert and the needs to how different it is from the Chicago area. i would use him again in a heart beat.

John is a highly professional individual great personality. His report is easy to read and to the point. highly recommend them for first time buyers or even second or third buyers. Has 10% discounts for veterans as he is a veteran himself. his prices are outstanding from other home inspectors he charges a fraction for the most detailed report I would rate him higher than a 5 if there was a scale to 10 it would be a 10.

I hired Shamrock for a home inspection. The company (John) was available the next day. I did the same thing you are doing right now, read reviews on Home Advisor and decided to hire Shamrock. He went over and above my expectations. He did a great job inspecting the home and communicated his findings to me. He went over my expectations by helping with the pool, as I have never owned a pool before. In the freezing cold he dug around my pool filters showing me how to operate and clean the filters. He even cleaned my pool filters for me! He offered to come back at no charge after we close to show me again how to clean my filters. I would highly recommend hiring John, all my future home inspections will be done by him. My realtor even commented to me how through he worked. I requested John's inspection services on very short notice, as I was heading out of town the next day. John immediately responded and gave me a very comprehensive inspection and explained what he was doing in simple terms that the novice layman could easily understand. John identified issues that were supposed to have been repaired but but were not satisfactorily repaired, and John's inspection resulted in the original repairman returning and completing the repair correctly. I am very happy with John and Shamrock home inspections, and would not hesitate to call them again.

John was extremely thourough and efficient. He communicated well and took pictures of every area of my property explaining to me in detail what needed to be repaired and why. He also sent me an entire report along with a CD of the photos for my records. Very easy to do business with.

John the owner was just AWESOME!!! I requested an 11 month home inspection since my one year warranty is expiring soon. Regardless if my house is still technically brand new, John took almost 3 hours to check my house inside-out, top to bottom - he's really impressive and took his time to explain EVERYTHING to us.
