Kevin is our go-to electrician, who we rely on for our indoor & out-door lighting. He communicates well & is knowledgeable, timely & friendly. We have recommended him to our friends and he helped them out as well.

I called Kevin around 10:00 am and he returned my call about 2 hours later and said he would be there in 30 minutes. He was on time and did the work quickly, plus gave us some tips on our entire electrical system in the house. He is polite and friendly. We are truely pleased with the work he did.

Kevin came out on 7/6/16 for an estimate. I was not confident in his knowledge. He told me on the phone that he knew about swim spas, and clearly didn't. He said that a swim spa takes a 250 amp. My brochure states the spa takes only a 50amp. He did not believe me - said that he won't be responsible if they deliver it and it needs more, and then took a picture of the brochure. He did not give me an estimate on the spot, as most companies do. That's what he was there for, anyway. He took my email address and said he would email me an estimate in a couple of days. It is now 7/11/16 and I have not heard from him.

We called Kevin in the late afternoon and left a message. Kevin called back within 10 minutes and set an appointment for the following morning. He arrived on time and fixed the issue in a professional manner. We are happy with his service and will definitely call him for any future repairs.

O'Connor electric provided me an appointment for the next day, but when an opening arrived they offered to visit the same day as my initial contact. Kevin showed up and was very courteous. He was able to diagnose the issue (which it turns out I had misdiagnosed) and resolve the issue. The repairs were done quickly and the price seemed fair to me. I am very happy with all the service that was provided.

We had a power outage in part of our kitchen. Our homeowner's insurance sent out an electrician who did not find the reason and would not continue to look for it as he claimed out electrical (under counter lights) were not up to code. Took his fee and left. We contacted Kevin from Angie's List and was pleased that he found the electrical loss mystery as a loose circuit breaker that had not been reset. As for the lights, the under counter lights are in code as they are low voltage and do not require 20 amp wiring. We are so glad we called O'Connor Electric and will recommend him to all and use him if needed again.

If you get bored and don't read to the end, please know this. Angies List is fantastic. Their A list vendors are professionals, or they wouldn't be A list. Their customer service reps are friendly and responsive. So if you're thinking of leaving Angies, I would NOT recommend that! I woke up this morning not feeling so well. It felt hot in the house, so I checked the thermostat, and pushed it down a degree or two. When I turned off the light (switch below the thermostat), it started to make sizzling sounds! I worry about my dogs, so I called Angies List to ask for a referral in my area for emergency electrical service. I had no patience to start searching on line, and I knew they would help. Autumn gave me a name over the phone (which was advertised as 24 hr. emergency service). I wrote down the number and called. Unfortunately they only do industrial, not residential. So I called Angies' back and got Aimee. I filled her in and she said the same thing Autumn did, "Ewww, that's not good!". Right! I told her about my call to Autumn, and asked if she could send me a few more names so I can just call one after another until I found someone for today. Aimee said the first list of six is already on my computer, with more to come. I booted up the beast, and got 6 files total, from both Autumn and Aimee. Team players to the rescue! Meanwhile the switch was still sizzling. Kevin O'Connor was my first call on the list, and he was the closest, but I went to voice mail. In asked him to call me as soon as possible. I made two more calls, neither of whom could come today. As I was hanging up from the second, and planning to continue searching, my phone beeped. It was Kevin O'Connor! He said the earliest he could come was 2pm today. I said I'll take it, and get batteries so you can fix my thermostat as well (I was afraid my experience with that thermostat may have caused the wiring problems). He advised me to shut the light down, do not turn it on again, and wait for his arrival. Less than an hour later, he called and said he would be here at Noon! He obviously changed his schedule around to help me. I'm not young anymore, and I've never understood how electricity works. But I have a healthy fear of fire and I know sizzling in the wires can be dangerous. How wonderful were these three angels to come to my rescue! I'll never leave Angies List, and I now have a new electrician. Kevin checked everything out, changed the lightswitch, told me the wiring was clean, and took apart the thermostat, replaced the batteries, and reset it, so it wasn't stuck anymore. Help when you need it and people who hear your fear. This turned into a pretty good day!

I highly recommend this provider! Two prior electrician companies failed to diagnose the problem, and charged a lot for their time and for parts that we didn't need. Within the first 15 minutes, O'Connor Electric diagnosed the issue. And in just under 2 hours, our provider went to purchase the necessary parts, returned and installed them, cleaned up afterwards and left everything in excellent working order.

Kevin came out and fished a wire through my wall for me. He ran into issues while trying to fish the wire through but kept at it. He was very honest and kept at it. I was worried that he might charge me extra for all the effort but he did not. He even had to go out and get an extra part to make sure job was done correctly. I like that he was very professional.

Price: He arrived at 9:21 and left at 11:06, took two short breaks in the time he was here. Total $275.00. Quality: He did a great job. Takes pride in his work. Responsiveness: He left without giving me an invoice or a receipt. I called him about an hour later and told him an invoice or receipt was important to me. He asked for my email address. I said I would send him an email to confirm I needed an invoice and I did so immediately. This was on Monday. On Friday still no invoice. Called again. I spoke to Diane (an A for her). She said I would get one that day and I did. It was $250.00, not the price I paid. I spoke to Diane again and the corrected invoice was sent out the next day. Punctuality: Our appointment was for 9:00 am he arrived at 9:21 am. He then went out to make a phone call.

When a multiple light circuit went out in my condo, I contacted O'Connor Electric for help.The circuit breaker didn't trip and the failure location was unknown. The owner, Kevin, showed up on time and he skillfully traced the problem to a wall plug which was improperly wired by the builder. During his search for the problem, he demonstrated exceptiional knowledge of electrical conductivity. Kevin was very professional and the cost of repairs was very reasonable. I would highly recommend O'Connor Electric for any and all electrical services.

Kevin had been to our house earlier to assess how a 240 circuit could be added to our kitchen so we could change from a gas oven to an electric oven. There is almost no access from the kitchen to the main electrical box without significant work cutting in into the cathedral ceilings and pulling wire through very restricted crawl spaces. We ended up having Kevin convert and existing 120 volt home run in the kitchen to a 20 amp 240 volt circuit. This took about 1.5 hours. Kevin's work was very professional, he explained every step that he did and also helped us identify what some of the other circuit breakers were actually controlling rather than what was showing on their labels . I will definitely use Kevin for any additional electrical work that I might need.

It was an annoying issue (garbage disposal switch had to be on in order to run the dishwasher, so I would have to unplug the disposal every time) and Mr. O'Connor took care of it quickly, even though it ended up a bit more complicated than expected. But he fixed the problem and I am relieved and grateful. He was easy to get ahold of, he arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. I would definitely have him work on any future issues if they arise.

If your thinking about going the electric vehicle route your going to need a 240v plug installed in your home, so looking for the right electrician can be challenging. Kevin has previous experience working with NEMA plugin in installing and upgrading. He's worked on Installing 240v plugs all the way to Tesla recommend amp plugs. He did a clean job on mine and works fantastic. I would recommend if you need these services done. A+
