O'Connor Electric

Everything went very well. We originally had an appointment scheduled for 10 - 10:30am but Kevin called to ask if we could do it earlier - SURE! He called 20 minutes before the newly scheduled time of 8 - 8:30am and said he was on the way. Showed up ON TIME! And after going through what I wanted, got right to work. Took down the fixture I wanted moved to another location and installed the new fixture. Then he took down the ceiling fan/light fixture, but because it was a pull chain fixture, the new light I had purchased would not work. Kevin went to Home Depot and picked up another fixture for me! (He added the cost of it to the bill and I just have to return the one I bought.) When he came back, he had it up in no time. In addition, he installed a box in the ceiling (when he had taken down the fan, we discovered just a few wires sticking out of the ceiling, clearly a safety issue. Next Kevin and I discussed where I wanted the old fixture to go (over the peninsula in my kitchen.) He cut a hole into the ceiling after precisely measuring and double checking it was where I wanted, installed a box, connected the fixture to the main kitchen light, so they will both go on when I flick the switch, which is exactly what I wanted. Kevin had covered everything with drop cloths and made sure everything was swept and clean. He did a great job, was punctual, polite, cordial and accommodating, in addition to being professional. He obviously knew his job! Would hire him again in a heartbeat. I originally didn't think this would cost so much, but seeing all that was involved and the 5 hours he was on the job, I think the price was very fair. Great job, Kevin. Thank you!

Kevin was so nice. He came out to the house did a walk through to tell me what the work would entail. Sadly, the extent of the work we need didn't match what Kevin could do. I thoroughly appreciate his honesty, upfront, rather than starting the job and telling me later.

We engaged Kevin about a month before our actual move. We wanted the ceiling fan install done while our new house was empty, before our actual physical move. Problem was that install date occurred during long the Memorial Day weekend. I am guessing that Kevin asked around his crew and found everyone busy for the holiday weekend, this was Friday, start of the holiday weekend. Kevin advised that he would arrive at our new house 8AM Friday. The ceiling fans went up that day without any issue. Kevin even managed to shorten our lengthy ceiling chandelier. Top notch professional master electricians, on time, on budget and spot on delivery. Whenever and wherever i need any electrical work done in the future, Kevin O'Connor is who i am going to call.

he was very professional and polite. he first checked the cicuirt breackers then went though all the switches, then the plugs, to see if any would turn the breaker off. we found the problem. it was a power strip. we needed his service before for a problem with the plugs and he fixed the problem for a reasonable cost again very precise and professional. If I ever have an electrial problem I will call him and I would recomend him to anyone needing electrical work. I and very satified with his services

Kevin, is one of the most respectful, professional tradesman I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and hiring Once I placed a call to Kevin and left a message, he returned my call within 20 minutes. He readily understood the issue (chirping smoke detector) and recommended replacing all our our smoke detectors instead of trying to repair one. His recommendation concurred with the recommendation we received from our local Fire Department. His availability was for the next day and said he would confirm the exact time later in the day. On the morning of the appointment he notified us that he would be delayed, due to an unanticipated electrical inspection at another property. Kevin arrived, assessed his needs (ladders for tall ceilings, etc) and set about efficiently and expediently installing the new items. In less than 90 minutes all were changed and mercifully the incessant chirping was silenced. Kevin, will most definitely be our "GO-TO" Electrician in the future. Thank you Kevin.

This experience was very positive. He was available the morning after I called, while another service I called didn't have an opening for some time. He showed up and provided the service listed above. He was very pleasant and very thorough.

My old GFI was removed and a new one was installed. This fixed the problem and all the sockets in my kitchen now work properly. :)

I called looking for an after hours electrician and left a message for Kevin. He called back within 20 minutes and when we spoke, he directed me to look for a GFI outlet in the garage. 10 minutes on the phone with Kevin and my problem was solved. He could have easily come out to the house after hours and charged me an arm and a leg, but instead he was honest and helpful! Thank you! If I ever need an electrician again, I'll definitely be calling this company!

WHEN I CALLED KEVIN TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT HE WAS ABLE TO FIT ME IN WITHIN DAYS. HE SET AN APPOINTMENT AND CALLED BEFORE THE TIME TO SAY HIS CURRENT JOB WAS RUNNING LATE AND SAID HE'D BE THERE IN AN HOUR OR SO AND SHOWED UP ON TIME. I COULD TELL HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING. I HAD A CEILING LIGHT IN THE LIVING ROOM BUT IT WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE WALL TO USE SO HE RAN A NEW WIRE TO A NEW JUNCTION BOX. HE MADE AN OPENING THE RIGHT SIZE INSTALLED THE FAN AND MADE SURE THE FAN AND THE REMOTE WORKED PROPERLY. HE DISCONNECTED THE EXISITING LIGHT (BUT LEFT THE FIXTURE IN PLACE AT MY REQUEST) AND REPLACED THE WALL SWITCH FROM A DIMMER TO A REGULAR ONE AND REMINDED ME THAT I WAS GOING TO PUT CLEAR TAPE ON THE SWITCH TO KEEP IT IN THE ON POSITION AND PREVENT AN ACCIDENTAL USE. KEVIN IS A VERY NICE GENTLEMAN, PROFESSIONAL BUT FRIENDLY AND DIDN'T WASTE TIME. I AM SO GLAD I FOUND O'CONNOR ELECTRIC ON ANGIE'S LIST AND I WILL RECOMMEND HIM TO MY NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS. AND OF COURSE IF I NEED ANYTHING ELECTRICAL I WILL USE KEVIN AGAIN.

Kevin was professional, diligent and took the time to explain what he was doing throughout his examination of my request and while he was working. The day of his arrival for the job, Kevin called to say he was 10 minutes away, arriving on time! Once here he proceeded to review the days work and immediately began working. Kevin was respectful and thorough in his work and took the time to clean up after himself. Upon completion of the jobs, Kevin walked me through to demonstrate the remote control of the ceiling fan and ran the central air on the new breaker. I found Kevin demeanor & his work to be exceptional. I strongly recommend him for all residential electrical needs!

It went well. He came and figured out the cause of the problem in about 30 seconds. Then he fixed it in ten. He was very nice and very informative. Gave me a $25 discount for using Angie's list. Very reasonable pricing.

Mr. O'connor came promptly and went straight to work to look at my fuse box. He explain everything each and every step of the way. That really reassured me and gave me confidence that I was working with a real professional. He was also very thorough inspecting and double checking all the wires afterwards.

Kevin is great. He's no nonsense and totally pro. He showed up right when he said he would and actually did all of the work right then and there, that day. He knows what he's doing. I have every confidence in using him from now on for all my electrical work. He wasn't cheap by any means, but I'd rather pay for quality work and be done with it as opposed to having to have someone else come back and fix bad work that I got a killer 'deal' on. Kevin was great! His troubleshooting was right on, and quickly found all the electrical problems we were having with our newly purchased condo. He was very punctual, professional and extremely proficient in his trade. He explained what he was doing and why. He saved us a lot of trouble and expense for a new hot water heater since it would have stopped working shortly with a bad wire. Kevin was honest and only did what had to be done. He was quick and very fair with his prices, We are new to Las Vegas and so happy we found an honest, skilled and fair electrician to use when we need one.

We called them on a Sunday thinkimg we wouldn't hear from them until Monday but we were called back within the hour. He met my husband that Monday at the house to give him an estimate which was the exact price when the work was complete no hidden fees. They schedule the work for that Friday at 7:30, they came at that time the owner and another man did an excellent job cleaned up after themselves. Very sweet, trustworthy and respectful! We will use them for all our electrical needs!

Appontment was for 9am. Keving called me at 8:45 saying he was waiting for inspector on another site so he would be out closer to 11:30. I appreciated the call. He arrived arpound 11:30 and got straight to work! He left all areas clean and boxed all the junk for the trash. The price was very reasonable, too. A+

This is the second time we have used O'Connor Electric. Kevin called when he was on his way, arrived on time, and came prepared. A couple of our GFI outlets had tripped a few times so we wanted them checked out along with the electrical box. He listened to us and asked a couple of questions before checking out the outlets and electrical box. Fortunately, we just needed to have updated outlets installed. The electrical box was fine. In addition, we had a few of our standard outlets replaced because we were having a hard time plugging into them and had experienced a few sparks when unplugging them. We also had Kevin replace all the batteries in our smoke and carbon detectors because my husband can't get up on high ladders anymore. Kevin was quick, efficient, and professional. We will definitely use him again and recommend him to our friends.

I contacted Kevin in December, just before the holidays, and he came out to give us an estimate. He explained what he proposed to do, and made the effort to be sure we understood what was going to go on. I suggested that we hold off until after the first of the year which was OK with him, and we set the date. We talked on Monday, 1/5, the day before the work was scheduled, and confirmed the date. Kevin and his associate showed up on time, with all of the necessary materials and equipment, and got right to work. They did their work in a professional and very workmanlike fashion, and rolled the job up in less than the estimated time. I am a retired and disabled Journeyman Electrician, and a licensed electric contractor, and was pleased to find that Kevin and his Associate, Hugh, are both Journeymen, and fully licensed. In my work and business, I held my charges, and employees to a high standard, and these two Gentlemen would be at the top of my list if I were still actively in business today.

I moved into a new home with a broken doorbell and a pendant light that didn't work. We thought the light just needed a new bulb. We were wrong--and we feared some wiring nightmare. Kevin arrived promptly on Christmas Eve morning. He quickly deduced that the wiring in the lamp itself had blown out--and he fixed it. Saved me so much money if I would have had to replace all the pendant lighting in my new kitchen. He also replaced the broken doorbell button. Best Christmas gift was getting that light to work. I plan on calling him again for other electrical work around the house.
