Between 2 shopping trips, my fiance and I spent about $5,000 on furniture for our living room. We planned on redoing our 5 bedrooms, loft, and grand room through them also. Our last trip we ordered a couple of tables and a floor lamp. I went onto their website and showed the salesperson the lamp I wanted and gave her my phone so she could get the item number so she could order it. We received a table lamp, instead of a floor lamp and were told to refuse delivery and to notate the invoice that it was the wrong item, so we could get a refund. Since the order took 3 weeks, instead of the 1-2 that we were told, I had to buy a lamp elsewhere to have it before Thanksgiving. It took a couple if weeks before they called to inquire about the order and I was told sales would be contacted about my refund and I would be called back. After a few more weeks I still had not received a call back, nor a refund. I called and sales told me I need to talk to the person that sold me the lamp, who wouldn't be in until the next day. I called back and was told she was busy and would call me back. She never did, so I called again the next day, only to be told she was busy again. She finally called me back during dinner and told me that she didn't have the authority to issue a refund and would have to talk to her manager, who wouldn't be in for 3 days. 4 days later I finally get a call back and was told they would not issue a refund, only a credit. A credit for an item that I never ordered. Someone on their end messed up my order and now I'm on the hook for the cost. This was not a return because I changed my mind. This was a return because I did not receive the item that I ordered. I love my furniture, but I will pay more elsewhere in the future. They don't know how to treat their customers. They just lost out on about $30,000 in sales over a $99 lamp.

Bigs Furniture failed to deliver on the promised date. Sales personnel were awesome!!! He assisted us the best way they could as expected when you're working for commission. But the actual shipment and delivery of our furniture has been an issue. We were told we would receive a phone call that wkend for delivery. No one called. So we called them. Everyday there was an issue w/our shipment. Still not in and then they would say they would call to keep us posted, but again we never got a call. So We called them everyday to ask and inquire. Going on almost two wks and we still don't have our furniture. Then I want to request a refund. Oh they can't do it and if we do get it then we need to pay a 15% restocking fee. This is some BS. And this furniture store is the worst ever!!! I really extremely HATE Big's Furniture in Henderson and the one on Craig and Tenaya. And that's a horrible word to use. But I truly honestly hate this company!!! Would NEVER do business again!

The afternoon it was supposed to be there I called asking where my chair was and was told it was back-ordered. No one had called me to reset expectations and I was pretty upset. I told them to just cancel the order and they said I would need to speak with Rachel to even do that. Two days later I get a call from Rachel and she tries to tell me the chair was sitting in their warehouse and ready to pickup on Sat. Since the chair is there now they want to charge 15% restocking fee to cancel the order. Either they have incompetent workers or they are flat out liars. When I expressed anger at the situation Rachel decided to hang up on me. If you are foolish enough to shop at this store then I suggest you stay away from the female employees and only buy what is available for immediate pickup. I wish I had checked their online reviews before getting involved.
Description of Work: I found a chair I liked at this store and ordered it after being promised that it would be available for pickup on Saturday. The promised date was printed on my sales slip.

Epic fail. Failed to Deliver [literally]
Description of Work: We found a great living room set. I must stress the word set because we would have not bought the sectional and 3 tables individually. The price seemed fair and the purchase was made in the very beginning of November, paid in full. We promptly received our sectional. Today is over a full month after the purchase and we still do not have the tables. Previous calls keep pushing the arrival date back. There is also a case of the right hand not talking to the left here. After calling to leave messages for the manager my wife talked to the store manager who received none of her messages. It's tough to understand who is in charge at this location. btw We were offered a refund for one of the tables that is on back order, but not a refund for the furniture they dropped off a month ago which we'd be happy to give back.

When they delivered the Bed Set there was only one night stand. We called and they said they would have to check on it. I spoke with Lisa (salesperson) and Ken (manager) when I went to the store. They remembered that I was to get another night stand. They ended up the next day letting me know that they didn't have a second one and that they no longer make that piece of furniture. She then referred me to their customer service. I spoke with Victoria in customer service...I gave them pictures to illustrate that the bed wasn't meeting the size requirements of the California King Bed Set. I found this out when the mattress came and didn't fit. At that point I just wanted to return the bed set. I was told they didn't know if they were allowed to do that. They checked and said I could either keep it or return it. If it was to be returned they were charging a fee of 5% since we had used a credit card. I have a chest-of-drawer from them that I have had to return several times because it continually gets delivered and is damaged. I wanted to deal with that too and Victoria told me she wasn't going to deal with that now, only the bed set.
Description of Work: The salespeople said it was a California King Bed Set. We said we wanted the two night stands and that wouldn't be any problem.
