Description of Work: Awful experience. The payment was made as agreed but someone with the company stole it then they harassed is with a lawyer as if we are the ones who were at fault. We provided proof of payment but they were relentless. They also were so loud and rough they damaged support beams inside the house.

Description of Work: Otero and Sons re-roofed the entire house (approx 4,000 sq.ft.) with a 15 year warranty. Because it is a flat roof, when tarring and graveling, they sloped roofing slightly to ensure drainage. The job was somewhat complicated because of the extensive refrigerated air conditioning piping. They were able to work under and around completely. However, the there had been significant damage from a serious hailstorm a couple of years prior; several areal of leakage inside the house. Also, this house, at 35 years old, was due for a new roof. Company representatives were efficient, professional, and amiable throughout. (Cost was covered by homeowner's insurance.) We were thoroughly pleased with the owners, workers, and job.

Description of Work: Took old ceramic tiles off a pitched area of our home and put new roofing paper,replaced old tiles with new ones,repaired other areas of our flat roof,which was in pretty good shape still.

Description of Work: Otero and sons replaced about 1/3 of my roof after a tree fell on it. They repaired it for a competitive price, in a timely manner and with quality professionalism. Some other roofers had told me that they would be unable to match new shingles with my older ones and that it would look bad if I didn't replace the entire roof. Otero told me it would be no problem to match the shingles. Their bid was very close to 2 others that I received. They seem to be real straigh shooters, honest and do high quailty work. I would use them again.

Description of Work: After waiting several hours for a call back from this company.(All other roofing companies contacted called back with-in thirty minutes) I made an appointment for a possible entire re-roofing job. I was told that a rep from the company would be there between 10:00 am and 12:00pm. This was the time this business give me----I didn't ask for this time. This was the only company that required a two hour window and then---THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP! I called them when the window had passed and informed the company THEY LOST THE JOB! Suprise, Suprise!! Their owner managed to call with-in minutes after I fired them, but they were not able to call to tell me they would be late. Naturally I refused their calls. Have reached my limit with companies that have no consideration for others and feel that my time is worthless. They feel that they are doing me such a big favor by even considering to work for me, but are they ever ready to take my money! They think I should wait until they get around to working me into their schedule, even when they set the appointments in the first place. Don't waste your time with this company!!! Angie's List rates many more roofing companies higher than Otero & Sons Roofing--BELEIVE THE RATINGS-- THEY ARE ACCURATE!! .

Description of Work: Did tar & gravel flat roof over 20 year-old existing roof plus deck. Were polite, on time, cleaned up well, picking up bits of tar from a gravel driveway. Kept us apprised on work dates, answered all questions. Were the only company that said they would not drive over the natural landscape, and they didn't. They had concerns about what next contractor would do and contacted him.
