Lennard had a friend of his redraw our blueprints to show a reduced addition, as County would not approve entire job due to flood plain issues. He applied for a permit. Lennard asked for payment for plans, permit fees & his time (the latter based on some unknown, unagreed upon calculation,) After being paid, he said he wanted to withdraw from the project, that he would turn it over to our new contractor. I told him I needed the new plans to show to contractors. His email response was, "The county has your plans." A week or so later, I saw the plans on the hood of one of our vehicles that is parked away from the house, not too visible. He could have put them under our covered front deck. He could have called or emailed to tell us that he was going to bring or had brought the plans. He said our new person would take over the permit application, not the permit. He said if the County would not allow this, he would return the permit fee to us. I asked why, since I had submitted everything the county needed, did we not have a permit. No response. Lennard said he would let me know when he took his name off the application. He did not. I had to contact him. Then, when I contacted the county, I found that he did not withdraw his name as the contractor. He simply withdrew the entire application. After discussions with the county, they agreed to allow me to proceed with the same permit. However, since Lennard had withdrawn the application, all the approvals, changes etc. from each department he had contacted were purged from the system. I had to start from the beginning, and pay $82 to have the plan re-reviewed by the people Lennard had seen. I asked Lennard to pay the $82, based on his previous statement that he would refund the fee to me if my new contractor could not proceed with the permit, and under the starry-eyed assumption that Lennard hadn't really meant to withdraw the application. Lennard's response to me? "Not my problem."

Response from LT Construction
Wow. This person's review is untrue and her description of the events are incorrect. This person refused to comply with our requests, and the requests of the permit office. There was information required to finalize the building permit, and she would not provide them. Therefore, LT Construction terminated this customer and the project.
We did an update after 20 years to our master bathroom. We took out our Jacuzzi tub, enlarged our shower, retiled our floor and replaced the cabinet tops with granite. Lennard did a great job of completing the job, I only have one problem. His contract was not specific and what I thought was covered under "miscellaneous" and what he thought was different. No intentional misleading. The plumbing contractor he used was the only negative. Silverado did not know how to effectively install a freestanding tub.

As an attorney who practiced construction law for nearly 30 years and having dealt with hundreds of construction projects, large and small – with values ranging from tens of millions of dollars to a few thousand – I can honestly say that Lennard George, owner of LT Construction Corporation, is one of the finest general contractors with whom I’ve ever worked. From the time my wife and I met Lennard when he first came to evaluate and bid on our project, we recognized his good nature, professionalism and unusual adaptability. We had a general idea of a home renovation project in the neighborhood of $100,000, involving structural changes, new foundations, new door penetrations, a new fireplace, new exterior finishes, custom brick flooring and re-roofing our entire home. Lennard first suggested some practical adaptations to our original ideas and recommended an excellent architect to design the entire work at a reasonable price. Lennard then proceeded to construct what the architect had planned, again at a reasonable price, all within budget and on schedule. This all occurred during a harsh winter, often under extreme weather conditions that typically cause costly delays to outdoor construction projects. During construction, Lennard was often personally on the site and was always receptive to any changes we proposed, and, unlike many other contractors with whom I’ve worked, he was willing to make a number of changes at very reasonable prices. He also suggested useful changes that we hadn’t even thought of, sometimes saving us money. Disputes over design changes are the usual bane of construction contracts, but we never had any disputes with Lennard either during or after construction. We were very pleased with the finished product and with LT’s cleanup of the site, and when we did have a few minor warranty issues regarding subcontractors’ work (which are inevitable on any project of that scope) Lennard immediately stepped in personally to make everything right. Given our satisfaction with the finished product and Lennard’s overall good nature and adaptability, we would certainly contract with him again, and we would wholeheartedly recommend his LT Construction Corporation for any of our Albuquerque neighbors’ residential construction projects.

1. Door installation: Went easily. I appreciated that they were meticulous in insulating and sealing around the door. After 6 months, I've had no leaks as I had with the old French door. 2. Stucco Prep: After evaluating the entire house, they secured areas where the old wire lath was coming away from the wall. Instead of just sealing the cracks in the parapets, they completely resurfaced all of them with a special cement-like material. Then the new stucco was applied over that. 3. Application: 6 workers were assigned each day to the job. This was enough people to allow application of the bonding agent and new stucco to entire sections of wall at once. This prevented and quot;seamsand quot; where wet stucco joins dried stucco. I think this contributed to the highly consistent finish. I notice that my neighbor's houses have more variation in their finish. Another big contributor to the consistency was the pre-mixed stucco and pre-measured coloring agent. This seemed much better to me than using a portable mixer to mix shovelfuls of materials. 4. Cleanup: Cleanup was quite thorough each day and at the end of the 5-day job. They didn’t damage any of the landscaping. 5. Results: A very consistent fine-grade finish. I’m confident the parapets are as weather-resistant as can be. The house looks great. This work was excellent.
Description of Work: LT Construction re-stuccoed my 2000 sq. ft. home in July 2012. Previous stucco was 19 years old. The parapets were failing and there were many small cracks in the walls. The new stucco “DryVit” was applied over the existing stucco with a bonding agent. This product is pre-mixed in large buckets, so the moisture content and ratio of ingredients is controlled. The coloring agent comes in small premeasured containers and is mixed into the buckets on-site. I chose a “fine” finish from the choices of textures. The job also involved replacing a double French door with a Pella sliding door.

Overall, the installation was excellent. 1. They carefully measured the window openings. Five years ago another vendor did not measure carefully, and the windows installed then were the wrong size and never worked properly. This time it was done right. All the new windows were the proper size. 2. The framing and sheetrock work went without problems. The new support for the large windows appeared to be quite sturdy. You can't tell where anything was changed. 3. Installation was meticulous. After addressing the out-of-square condition of the openings, the installers then carefully insulated and sealed the spaces around the windows. 4. The installer was careful to minimize damage to the stucco when removing the old windows. The vinyl trim which spans the openings around the windows was sealed to the stucco to prevent leaks. 5. Demo involved cutting the mounting screws and sheetrock around the old windows. This created a lot of dust, and the installers held a vacuum next to the saw to minimize the dust in the house. They also cleaned up and vacuumed at the end of each day. 6. Results: The new windows look great and all work properly. All of the opening windows open smoothly. (This was not true of the previous replacements, which never were square and were a pain to open.) I can tell that my heat loss has been reduced.; the furnace runs less often on cold days. I take that as an indication that these are good windows properly installed. I am very pleased. I plan to use LT Construction for additional remodeling work.
Description of Work: LT Construction replaced all 13 aluminum windows in my home with Atrium vinyl windows in November 2011. The new windows included side-to-side sliders, awning windows, and three large fixed picture windows. The new windows are Low-E and argon filled double-paned. LT Construction recommended the Atrium brand. Installation of two large picture windows (73" X 72") required a little framing work to separate them from the sliding windows below, and a little sheetrock work.

Very well. Of particular importance was the demolition was done surgically instead of just sledgehammering to facilitate efficient and quality reconstruction. Lennard George of LT is an degreed engineer so his work builds on that way of thinking. The workplace was always clean and LT was very sensitive to family disruption, and courteous. We talked daily and tracked the project ad discussed ideas as we proceeded. We are very happy with the results, and receive a lot of very positive comments for guests on our house. We intend to use LT again in the future for some work we have planned.
Description of Work: LT did a major redo, update of our house. New Windows, new bathrooms, new hardwood floors, stucco, new kitchen,. major work throughout. Difficult, challenglng work included putting in windows where none existed in adobe walls, and talking out a major beam and replacing it to raise the opening between living room, and kitchen and dining rooms.
