Nick showed up right on time and got right to work. Replacing the refrigerator outlet turned out to be more complicated than anticipated due to a faulty outlet on the same circuit. Nick quickly determined the problem and fixed the circuit issue and now I no longer have to run an extension cord to power my refrigerator. Dining room dimmer switch was quickly replaced. Two outdoor lamppost heads were also quickly replaced. Finally, Nick climbed into my hot crawl-space attic and replaced the attic exhaust fan. Throughout the work Nick would explain about my household electric in as much detail as I wanted and was a total professional throughout. This is the second time I've used Luminous and I will use them again.

I have worked with Nick twice now. Both times he has helped me install some 3-way light switches that I didn't feel comfortable doing myself. He is fast, clean, courteous, and reasonably priced. If you have some electric work you need done, I would definitely give Nick a call.

The service worked out great. Everything was pretty straightforward. The price was the best price I could find. They were pretty clear. The one thing is they told me ahead of time that they were not responsible for any holes they put into the drywall. I have to get my superintendent to actually tend to those and patch any holes that they made.

Nick came over at the exact time he said he would. He made sure the light in the garage came on and off automatically when someone entered the garage. He also fixed the light in bathroom vanity. When asked about an outdoor light he advised against changing the current system. He was very honest and did not attempt to do a job that was unnecessary. I would contact him for any future electrical project.

They did a fantastic job. The lights make the room look more modern and elegant. They cleaned up after the job was finished. We plan to hire them to put recessed lighting in the living room sometime over the spring or summer.

After a home inspector killed a deal for the sale of our house because of too many "electrical issues", we had to call an electrician to remedy the problem(s)... or so we thought. My wife and I were expecting to pay a fortune for the work that the home inspector said needed to be done. We hired Luminous to review the inspection report and fix the "many issues" pointed out in the report. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the issues in the report were non-issues and essentially a bunch of "hog wash". We could have been easily taken advantage of, but Nick (Luminous) advised us on what work should be done. In our opinion, he was honest (easily saving us several hundred dollars). He was also very punctual, arriving at the scheduled appointment time. We will use again when we are in need of an electrician.

Nick came and fixed an outlet for me. He fit me into his already busy schedule. I was most appreciative of that. The next day the outlet stopped working again. Nothing to do with the work Nick preformed, but do to work being done in another area in the house. He once again managed to come the next day into between jobs, and fixed it again! They respond right away when you contact them, which is really important to me. While Nick was at my house he also gave me a quote for some other work I am looking to have done. I will be using him to complete my next project.

Do not hesitate to call Nick from Luminous Electric. I purchased a Big Deal from Angie's list back in March and finally was able to to use it. After a few email exchanges Nick and I set a day and time that worked for us. He arrived early to our home and sprang immediately into action. There was no hesitation on his part as to what was to be done or how he was going to do it. His actions made us feel very confident that the work agreed upon was going to be completed with excellence. We found Nick to be very professional, punctual and no nonsense; get in and get out! We would certainly give Nick a call in the future. Thanks for a great job and also the "Big Deal."

I have used his services before. Nick is an excellent and very professional electrician. He arrived ahead of schedule (calling to confirm that I was at home). Repaired a burnt out electrical socket and advised me NOT to have a new 120 volt line installed for my new stove - saving me considerable money.

I wasn't happy with him at all. He really didn't even give me an estimate. He didn't give a clear understanding of what I needed. I ended up calling another electrician that I had used before and I had a lot of work done. I wasn't happy with that guy. He didn't write anything down. I knew that I had some electrical problems, because it is a very old house and my son had a lot of plugs in the sockets, so he had overloaded a lot of sockets in his bedroom. And the fuses were burning out already. I knew I had a huge, massive surge breaker that looks brand new, but it's an old house. He came and he looked around. He said, you have problems and basically that was it. Then I paid him the money and then he left. I really didn't get a good understanding of what I needed to do to fix the problem. So I really was not happy with him. He never got back to me. I don't know if he just didn't want to deal with it, because I have an old house. I was really very disappointed. He came on time. I was able to make an appointment, that wasn't the issue. But when he came, he looked around very quickly, one, two, three, peeked in every room. I don't even know if he actually looked at the sockets, and basically said you have a lot of problems and here is my card, give me call. That was it. For what I got, it was a lot of money. Even if it was $2, he came in and he did nothing. It was like I took the $39 and just burnt it.

Vendor cancelled first appointment but was very apologetic. We rescheduled for a mutually convenient time and the work was done efficiently and professionally.

Everything went great! They were on time, got the work done in the time they told me it would take. No surprises! Price was very reasonable. Very nice and professional. I would use them again!

Nick came promptly and was professional. We are sure he is a good electrician. We had several outlets that weren't working. We had previously checked the panel and GFI switches. He spent about 5 minutes determining it was a tripped GFI switch hiding behind a refrigerator which we did not know was a GFI outlet. We purchased a $99 Agnie's Deal for two hours of electrical services. When we questioned him, it was clear he simply decided it was a $99 service call. We struggled for a moment to think what else we might need - electric-wise - that we could feel like we got our money's worth (ie, two hours of electrical work). But after chatting a couple minutes about potential work, we decided no further work was needed now - and Nick left. We are all for, and support our local businesses and neighbors making a living. But frankly, (even given our electrical stupidity about a tripped GFI) we were disappointed that Nick - who lives a couple blocks away - did not offer a refund, partial refund or a credit for future work. It was his lucky day and our $99 lesson in stupidity. Water under the bridge. Sometimes this is just the way it goes.

AMAZING! Luminous is one of the most professional and capable service providers we've ever found on Angie's list. First off when I bought the big deal for labor they called me back same day and we set the appointment for two days later. Nick and Sean arrived early and got right to business. I had bought a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan from Lowe's but did not get any additional install items. Nick examined the existing fixture and told me the current plastic mount would not support a fan, luckily they had a ceiling fan support bar and metal mount in his truck so they did not miss a beat. They got right to it and in no time the fan was up and it looks great. Next Nick asked what other items needed attention, we had a dead GFCI outlet, which he replaced with parts from his truck, then he gave me a visual inspection of our basement wiring and pointed out some minor issues. Meanwhile Sean cleaned the work area and they removed all the boxes and garbage. So to sum it up in a word: AMAZING. They will be the only company we use going forward. Total costs were the $99 big deal for labor and $40 for additional parts.
